I used to come here all the time, but a few months ago they messed up my to-go order and I haven't felt like going back -- which sucks because I used to love that place. After receiving my bag and checking the receipt, it wasn't until I returned home that I realized they had given me some kind of soup instead of my full-sized salad.* I called them back and didn't get an apology nor did I feel like they wanted to help me. I had to suggest getting the correct salad delivered to me. Instead of immediately agreeing, they had to look up my address to "check if I was in their delivery area." I'm in the middle of my workday and I'm not thinking about what I need to do to make sure that they don't mess up again, but I realized after my phone call that they never double-checked my order. So sure enough, my bag arrives and it's a half-sized salad! Like, even if they weren't sure, wouldn't management want to go a step beyond and deliver a full salad as an apology? But that's not even the case! I had paid for a FULL salad, got the wrong thing, and then was delivered a half-sized salad, instead. I called back to tell them what happened and the manager apathetically says, "Oh, I'm sorry. Would you like me to send her back or..." I told her I didn't have the time, hoping they'd just give me a refund or credit, which they eventually offered and said they could mail to me. Never received it...of course. I've worked in the service industry for a while and customer service is so easy. These were small problems that could have been avoided if management was more attentive and eager to assist, but instead, stacked up and created this annoying situation. Mind you, all my calls were pleasant and calm from my side. I could have been insistent and impatient or rude, but that's not how I do things, yet now I'm wondering if that would have helped. read more

I was in there today. The girl who took our order was very professional. The restaurant was in need of a good clean. The floors were dirty with food as well as some tables and booths. Worker cleaned a table with his hand and no rag. Another worker wiped a table with a rag and no spray cleaner. I wiped my table down with antibacterial wipe before we sat. Had to ask for decaf coffee which was not made and they were not making. 10 minute wait on that. read more

Poor customer service at this location. Always late with Rapid Pick Up, Multiple times messed up orders or forgets items all together. When you request NO CHEESE and your salad has a ton of cheese added, it's kind of hard to pick that off when you get home. The young girl placing food in the pick-up area tonight had an attitude problem. Two items were missing from my 3 item order and she said she was doing the best she could... Really? You miss 2 out of the 3 items, perhaps you need to find a new line of work. Employees talking about customers loud enough for customers to hear. Time to find a new place for carry out. read more

If you're on diet and small portions, diluted soups and poor value are your thing, then this is the place for you. I talked myself into coming here although I knew in advance that it was risky. I ordered a tuna sandwich on ciabatta with L,T &O and there couldn't have been more than 2 tablespoons of tuna on the sandwich. In addition, I ordered the broccoli cheddar soup which was so watered down it was literally tasteless. And then to top it off (and this actually made me laugh) I ordered the apple rather than the chips and the apple was the smallest apple I had ever seen in my life, and quite tasteless. My daughter and i were driving from Kissimmee to Cape Coral and lost a bolt on the under carriage and it began flapping loud and as we were driving we lost 6 more bolts. We pulled off in North Port and called Geico and they recommended "The Tire Choice" at 4480 Aiden Lane. They were AMAZING! They were super nice on the phone and took care of us right away. I would recommend them to everyone! So we decided to call the Panara bread store across the street and see if they would deliver sandwiches chips and cookies to the Tire Choice store. The manager was more then happy to help, she called found out how many employees, her team got the food set up right away and delivered them. And they even through in the cookies! Which was so nice we wanted to buy the Panara staff lunch! I am telling you North Port Florida is full of FANTASTIC residents and businesses! The customer service at this location is horrendous! From management to the person you place your order with at the front counter, everyone is extremely rude and unprofessional. It has been like this for years and I cannot believe it continues to happen as I know I am not the only person that feels this way. On a business trip figured I would stop in, Please explain to me why do you have only 1 cashier on duty when the line is out the door? Poor management scheduling. The on duty cashier starts chatting with the person in line while the line gets longer. Saw several people leave. Saw other employees hanging around doing nothing, while they should have opened up another register. Attempted to follow up with Corporate only to be told thank you for your comments in other words getting the brush off .Needless to say I will be taking my business elsewhere I was not going to wait in line . Panera is always a great place to eat if you want something healthy. I stopped by here after shopping with my family right after Christmas. I felt guilty because I had been eating like a pig and wanted something low-fat,LOL. They have a Thai salad here that fits that description nicely and is also very filling. Like most Panera's, the service was very friendly and this location is not far from the Port Charlotte Mall if you are looking for some place to eat besides the mall's food court. read more

Nice people. Decent food and beverage. Dirty dining room and the furniture and seats are totally worn out. We went for dinner and they were power washing the front entry! I had to ask the guy to stop when leaving to avoid getting soaked with chemicals. Really? You are squirting down the front door during business hours while the dining room floor is sticky?!! Does this place have a manager? Better question: who trained him or her and who is looking over quality control? The parent company is obviously asleep at the wheel. I would not blame the help. Horrible customer service! The same gloves touch the food, wipe the food prep area and serve the food! Less portions than other Panera Breads. I've been here twice for pick ups for a business meeting. Not one but twice they messed up everything in the order. Not even close the first time I came. Took them 20 minutes with every manager and GM and assistant manager there was to get a receipt for me. On top of that they couldn't figure out how to ring out a gallon of ice tea. Couldn't charge me for something else equivalent to it, and figure it out themselves later... knowing that they were already 20 mins late. Second time I arrived 20 minutes early to get the order to make sure that didn't happen again. Well I got there early and requested my order in separate bags because I ordered 3 of everything. The girl ignored me and bagged it all her way and put 3 dozen bagels in one bag and 3 jugs of coffee into a single tower. Took her another 25 minutes to separate it all. I had an order for 10:15. Didn't get it out the door till 10:35. Shocker. I asked for a manager while she was re-bagging it all. Manager was busy on the phone. Wouldn't suggest going to this Panera at all. The staff has no idea what's going on. And no urgency for the customers that spend money there. read more

The worst Panera I have ever been too. I used to visit here all the time, stopped for about a year then when I came back only had problems. My past 6 visits and yes I do mean 6 have all had issues. The managers don't really handle any issues that come up. They offered to 'send me coupons' that never arrived. I went in and asked for the coupons instead. Then with the order I took it was cold. The final straw was finding hair in my 12 food order and being compensated with a stale cinnamon roll and a cookie. Don't waste your time with this Panera. Go to the one in North port. read more

I see why this Panera only has 3 stars. I stopped in for coffee this afternoon and had a ten minute wait while one harried cashier waited on a long line. She called a manager (who came out and surveyed the line, then walked back in the kitchen) twice. I asked from back in the line if that was a manager who looked at line & ignored it. She said yes. I requested a manager, who rather ungraciously, waited on me and several others. Not really the kind on service I've come to expect from Panera. read more

The food is good, but disappointing customer service. I visited today for take out. This was my first take out order at this store. I was waiting by the electronic board for my take out. The young male manager was flirting with other customers. I was aware of this, but it did not concern me. Then my name appeared on the ready side of the order board. I asked the young manager and he said they were bagging my order. Okay. Then an order comes up. The manager calls another name and her name appears on the ready side of the board and my name disappears. I then ask again. The manager says " she only had soup, you had more food." I told him that I was not worried about the wait. He then asked me what my problem was (sarcasm is not good customer service.) I told him that his attitude was what bothered me. He turned toward the kitchen staff and suppressed laughter. Upon receiving my meal, I told him I did not believe he was management material. He then proceeded to tell me he was "sorry to hear that, dear." I know that as a middle aged woman, I do not meet his flirting standards. I do however deserve respectful treatment. read more

Let me begin by saying I LOVE Panera Bread restaurants and am part of their rewards program. What I did not expect was to order a ceasar salad with STALE croutons. Yep, this is a bakery and the croutons served on the salad were stale. What made this worse was when I took the salad up to the counter to alert them about the stale croutons, the fellow at the counter took my bowl, said "sorry about that" and dumped the croutons into the trash. I had already eaten the lettuce so tossing the croutons was not a big deal. What was a big deal was his reaction!! That was it!! Considering that the rest of our meals were wonderful, I am perplexed as to how they let a small, but significant issue slide by without trying to make a correction or alert the cooks. Note to self: next time ordering a ceasar salad, taste the croutons first!! I really thought better of Panera!! Would have been a 5 star rating. read more
