After Time and Time Again of them switching up their menu and deleting or retiring my favorite items I am so done with this company the last time that I visited was today 7/ 12/24. Keeping in mind that I have a very slim amount of choices for what I can eat due to my dietary restrictions them deciding to take off my favorite items has left me with such a terrible taste in my mouth that I did not purchase anything after complaining and asking how I could get my complaints to people higher up in the company that care I did reach out to their customer care line and on a recorded call asked for a call back an explanation for why they're high prices and revolving menu is just pushing customers away are being put in place for. I personally no matter how many coupons they send my way or free food they offer will never go back to any Panera cafe. I spent almost my whole lunch trying to get there and order my regular order and had to leave empty-handed due to this incident. As you can imagine I am so frustrated I know I am not alone in feeling this way. I am so tired of the drive-through service at this Panera bread. Tonight like many other nights, I'm running behind and have to order takeout food. When I arrive, they ask for my name, I give it to them, and they have a hard time finding my food, then when I get my food The order is not placed in the bag correctly. They hand me my bag with it closed and say have a nice day close their window and then turn their back on me. I stay in the drive-through and check my bag all wow they keep turning and looking out the window to see if I've driven away yet, the reason I check my bag is because it's usually wrong again I am correct. I am missing things that I ordered and practically have to be on the window with my hand to get the get the young lady to turn around and acknowledge me when I ask for items I get the half smile. OK let me get that for you. then the window closes and you hear of the negative comments this is not how you get return customers. I work hard I pay my bills and yet I still get treated like I'm dirt by a young teenager or someone in their early 20s who has no clue how my day has been, a sincere smile can go along way. I won't be coming back to this place again in the evening every time that I do, it's always poor service or we're out of that item or some kind of excuse. Panera Bread is one of my favorite places to eat. However this Puyallup meridian location is not a location I will go to any longer. Three times I have gone here hoping it would improve but instead each time has gotten worse. The staff is friendly and the place is clean but their ability to get orders out smoothly is something this location seriously struggles with. I think the word to best sum up this Panera is "meh." Sometimes when I go it's really good and I have no complaints. But then there are times when I go and I have mass complaints. One time I went through the drive thru and got a turkey cranberry panini. When I got home there was no turkey on it! Just cranberry and spinach.... whaaat???? How does that even happen. Recently I just went and they were out of sourdough for the sandwich I wanted- at 9am in the morning. Then I ordered a salad and after eating some of it started to notice wilted sad brown lettuce. They gave it to him in a paper bowl, HALF FULL. Didn't include the bread bowl at all. 2. Today I ordered the Strawberry Sesame Chicken salad. When I got it home half the salad was GROSS. This has happened from this particular restaurant before last year. It's awful when you serve the last of the lettuce. It's brown, wilted and not edible. Normally the salad is wonderful, but this experience has left a bad impression on me. While we both ordered the exact same thing, our food had some very noticeable differences. When I asked the staff, they informed me that the items we ordered are not ordered very often (off-menu) and had to look up build sheets. We go here a lot and when it first opened they were great with cleaning and customer service but the last couple times I visited there was a big decline. They hired a bunch of new people and here are the problems 1. When it's slow they are back there messing around loudly 2. Tables aren't cleaned right away when slow 3. TWICE now we have had dirty utensils or bowls served with our food. 4. Drive thru people really really need to work on customer service because I was given attitude many times (see other reviews for same issues) star is only for taste of food. I do like the food here but the customer service really does make me not want to return. There are a couple of people that work there that have been there awhile and they are great...but these new people need to work on their customer service. Update: 3rd time we got dirty utensils now! They aren't cheap enough to be forgetting the expensive ingredients. You call, talk to someone and they play at saying you will get a certificate but it never comes. Came here for dinner, waited about 15 minutes for our food. When my grilled cheese came out, it didn't look right so I opened it and found ONE small piece of burnt cheese. I had asked for a new one and the man working responded with "that's how we make our grilled cheese now" I have been coming to this location for years and have never received such a sorry looking grilled cheese like this one. I have tried to give this location many opportunities to correct mistakes in filling my order. My biggest complaint is that their remedy is not timely nor convenient for Yours Truly as a Patron. You miss items on the order and cannot get the items to the Customer because you do not have the ability to do so. Hmmmm. Maybe you should invest in your own Delivery Driver Program to properly service your Clients instead of hide behind and bashing Door Dash for your mistakes. Your food is wonderful but your attention to detail is severely lacking. It is sad because I love your food but do not love your roughly .500 batting average filling orders properly. I never write reviews. Something has to be really bad for me to take the time. This place has No love in how they make their food. I love a lot of things on the Panera bread menu. In fact my favorite sandwich of anywhere I've eaten is at Panera. The problem is it's rare that I get it made properly. And we're not talking perfectionism here. This location really seems to not care even a little bit about the food they make their customers. In addition, there's always something missing or messed up on my order. Way too many mess ups. Last night I made my last visit to this location. It's over. No more shelling out my hard earned money to a place that has such poor service. First, they left out a dessert we ordered and paid for. Second, both my and my husbands sandwiches were slapped together with an ingredient missing, huge chunks of chicken on one side with virtually none on the other, missing cilantro all together, sauce barely on one side and tons on the other, the bread not toasted, and THE WORST.... They didn't cut up the avocado on either of our sandwiches. I had literally half an avocado plopped onto on side of my sandwich and another smaller uncut chunk on the other. The biggest part of the avocado crime though was that both of our sandwiches had avocado that still had big chunks of the avocado skin still on it. Then we get to the two flat bread pizzas I ordered. There's was barely any cheese and the cheese that was on there was piled in little spots on the pizza. So there was a bunch of cheese on a few spots and a large portion of the pizza was devoid of any cheese. My husband was so fed up he ended up taken my daughter down the road to mod pizza to get another pizza and refused to eat the Panera pizza. In addition, I bought a frozen lemonade. They handed it to me and it was only 3/4 of the way full. They were so flustered and handing me stuff so quickly that I drove off before I noticed. The bottom line. The food, which is good, is rarely made well because this location has ZERO LOVE for their jobs and the customers they are serving. If this was the first time I might understand but it's probably 70% of the time that something like this happens .... and it's happened pre and post pandemic so we can't blame it on that. I kept giving them a chance and last night was the final straw. No more paying their high prices for horribly made food and NO LOVE. read more

Just like any other Panera. Nice decor, casual ambience, but it is a bit quiet. It's larger and cleaner than most Panera Bread restaurant. Coming here today, I tried very hard to order as quickly as possible, but they seemed to be out-of-stock of most everything that I tried to select. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Flatbread and specifically asked for no spinach (because they tend to pack it with the baby spinach). When I received my order, I had gotten the flatbread with the spinach stuffed in. The flatbread comes with both cilantro and spinach, but no cilantro was found in my flatbread. When the food was served to my friend and I, the employee (runner) sort of slammed/dropped the plates on our table, making a loud noise. Conveniently, they have a drive-thru! This was not a good experience because the food was extremely cold and not to mention all employees hate each other at this location, I don't know if someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed or what. However the tea was 10/10, I like the green tea. I think that may have been the only good thing about this place. Also the layout of the building itself is very weird, to get to the drinks and restroom you must walk past the kitchen where waiters and waitresses pick up the food from the kitchen. Worst service ever tonight! Used rapid pickup which we've used several times in the past, but apparently there's a staffing shortage so they can't bring food out to you? ZERO STARS IF I COULD The staff here is extremely unprofessional. Lousy girls were whispering things in a huddled group as if it were high school... that's embarrassing. We ordered dine in and no one notified us that dine in was currently not available, we are from out of state visiting family for the holidays and our state doesn't have anything like this in place yet. 30 minutes pass by and I expect our tray to be delivered to our table or our name get called, and nothing. So we go and check out if everything's okay- and everything was set on the counter. No notice or anything. So we then get it and sit and start eating- remember we did do the DINE IN option and no one had notified us any restrictions about this- and a woman approaches us and rudely stated " you guys have to eat that outside, it's a state mandate" and proceeded to roll her eyes and go to the restroom. She was a member of management and that is extremely unprofessional and as I stated before- we are not from this state. So this was our first time hearing of this. We respectfully left and understood their policy, but although the other employees had plenty of opportunities to let us know, they instead shunned us. Unprofessional and pathetic. Will not be returning to this location filled with people who can't heat up Mac and cheese before serving it. Yeah , the food was cold and not great. -1/10. And the price was not worth. I've been in here many times and it really escapes me as to how I constantly forgot to review. I feel like more often than not I have problems when I go to this location. Most recently I ordered a pick 2 with their seasonal salad and Mac and cheese. I took a few bites of my salad and on the next attempt I noticed A VERY PINK piece of chicken. I examined the texture and yes it appeared undercooked. I brought it back in to the register and staff got a manager. The manager attempted to tell me that the chicken is smoked and its supposed to be pink...no! If you are serving pink chicken you are serving chicken that is not fully cooked. PERIOD... In the end she did give me my money back, but the excuse was absurd. (And yes I had slight stomach issues that night. I'm very thankful I didn't eat the whole salad!) Previous problems with this location include ordering a coffee, going to get the coffee and it not being available. I let the staff know, they said it would be 15 minutes for a new pot. 15 minutes go by and I notice they replace the wrong coffee. When the employee replaces it she looks a little confused... Because there's coffee IN the breakfast blend she just replaced and I told them the HAZELNUT. Waited 30 minutes when all I ordered was a to go coffee then got my money back and left since the hazelnut STILL WASN'T READY!! In the mornings when I go in (rarely) they seem to ALWAYS be out of the spinach artichoke souffle... Hint: of you know it's your fastest selling souffle MAKE MORE! And yes, I've actually had the discussion with staff where they admit that one sells out fast. Lastly, their prices seem to be skyrocketing these days. For the price you pay for a meal you can actually go to a nice sit down restaurant. They have some good items on their menu but this location has some problems that they have a hard time overcoming apparently. read more

Staff is very unprofessional. I deliver food for them and was asked to confirm the order. I did for the first prompt, the second confirmation starts my drive time. I was on a double order. On my way out the staff stopped me, harrassed me about policy change stating i need to confirm twice or not take the food for my delivery. I asked to see the policy and stated that the in app instructions ​inform me to check my order and pick up on shelf, which I did. Brooke, Sam, and Lakisha harassed me while I was following the instructions Panera provided for puck up. I was told they would look up my name in the system. I have never stole food and was treated like a criminal. Physically touching me and trying to pull the order out of my hand was NOT OK. Please update the app for correct instructions for drivers and have someone on expo at all times to make sure orders are checked if that is your policy. Yelling and chasing people down is not ok, professional, or reasonable. I have never been treated that way by any establishment. I would like someone to contact me back. read more
