I can't believe this is a restaurant that has only been here a few years, the waitress seemed she wasn't particularly paying attention to the poor food quality or the burnt toast, burnt potatoes, she forgot the syrup twice, & they had a girl with a so-called dirty service dog (moaning) which in its self is crazy as service animals are trained not to bark or make noises, their purpose is to help you in distress. As usual, yet ANOTHER Dennys can't get an order right!!! This was my worry about ordering online, so I walked in and ordered at the front counter. Figured they couldn't screw up my order this way. BUT THEY DID! I clearly specified I wanted a cheeseburger with no veggies and ONLY SWISS CHEESE, NO AMERICAN. Then I asked for their seasoned fries instead of regular fries. To no surprise to me, I got Swiss AND American cheeses and REGULAR FRIES, not seasoned! $20 wasted on Thanksgiving! Christmas Day 12.25.23 This restaurant was one of the few places that were open. So we expected the crowd, long wait times, and subpar service. That's what we initially thought prior to our arrival. We were greeted with smiles upon entrance to the reception counter. There were quite a bit of people seated, standing around, waiting for their order and to be seated. We were advised that we could be seated quickly, however, the wait for the food would be a minimum of an hour, give or take. This included takeout orders. We decided to dine in and drink coffee merrily for about one hour. Our server, Jacqueline was very attentive, provided excellent service, and checked on us frequently to refill our coffee pot, cream and sugar. She was delighted and happy to serve us. She presented a very pleasant and wonderful attitude. Our food came out in one hour time. We had the T-bone steak with two sides and I had the Philly steak omelette with an upgrade to French toast instead of the regular toast. They were delicious! We only ate about half because the coffee made us so pretty full! LOL! All in all, the ambience, cleanliness and the new modern look of the restaurant was refreshing. Decided to go out for an early breakfast. I was seated fast and ordered my coffee. Coffee showed up ordered my food. Food showed up fast... Asked for more napkins, that took a few minutes. Coffee was topped off, asked for water. Water showed up in dirty glass! The omelette wasn't too bad little greasy, hash browns were half cooked, English muffin was warmed not toasted with a dab of butter. It appears it was shift change.. Check was dropped off, my coffee cup was empty. Waited for a few minutes. Watched a disabled person park and hobbled in, they put him the furthest from the entrance, he tried to talk to them but the turned away. He turned around and hobbled out to his car and departed. This was terrible!! the brisket was super dry and chewy, 4 other people at my table got it and it looked the exact same. I chose to get it without the barbecue sauce however my cousin did and it was just as bad, it looked like some witches potion. This tasted terrible and rubbery and unreal. It looks like vegan meat. The mac and cheese was not it because the briskets plastic like taste ruined it entirely. The onion rings were the only thing on the plate that was acceptable. The vibe of the restaurant was nice but the food was not. I also got the Slamming sprite with strawberry and my cousins got the dropper dirty soda and those tasted inedible. Mine didn't really mix that well and looked odd. The chefs cooked very poorly. I wish i could give this 0 stars, I can't do it deserves a one at most. I'm never getting that food again!! Not sure if i wanna go back here ever. My cousin once ordered a medium rare here and threw up after! They cook as if they are blind, mute, deaf, and disabled. I don't wanna go back here ever again. I'd like to say I loves Dennys but my last few experiences at this one has kinda taken Dennys down hill. I ordered the vanilla crème crapes. They were delicious but the rest of my food not so much. I have been a cook for 14 years and never in my life heard of a sausage link turning pink in the middle to let the cooks know the sausage is bad! Pork needs to be completely cooked before it can be served to people. I took one big bite and the middle of it was raw/pink with the excuse that it was to let the cooks know the pork is at its dead stage? I have physically never heard of that in my entire life with any sausage. my bacon looked like it was sat in a pan all day mind you I had food after 12am so it was late at night. My bacon was gross and my hash-browns were not cooked all the way either as they were mushy and not crunchy. The over easy eggs and crepes were amazing though. read more

While the staff was very nice, the service was chaotic and slow, especially from the kitchen. It took almost 15 minutes to deliver my french toast breakfast, even though the restaurant was not even half full. With that being said, the food was good, the restaurant was clean and finding parking space was not that bad. read more

Been twice now coming all the way from Tac Mall area and it's worth it. First time was a Saturday morning where we stayed for 4 hours chatting and eating and yes we left a big tip. Second time Saturday late afternoon early evening 5pm and again worth it. Both times food was hot, delicious, timely to the table, and yummy! Both times even with different waitresses we had a good pleasant experience. Parking is plentiful, take out orders seem to be a good part of their business, and inside is clean and modern (brand new they only opened last summer). Cleanliness is important to me, I wish other Dennys were scrubbed this well. read more

food is smells like sh't , absolutely all the food was not tasty, everything smelled of stinking fat. Manager Juan is a person who does not know how to do his job, he simply does not know what respect is. He mocked and behaved like a hysteric. Also one of the waitresses, screamed and got into the conversation. Then she walked away and muttered all sorts of nonsense from afar. But my brother and I stopped here on our way back to Seattle after hiking in Mount Rainier National Park, and this place was clean, well decorated, with good service, and delicious food that hit the spot. It's really nice to have a Denny's on this side of Meridian. For years, we've had to drive to the mall side just to have it. With the price of gas, we've settled for ihop or cooking at home. We gave this one a try as takeout because we were busy and couldn't dine in. The food was made quickly even though they were super busy. The restaurant could stand to be a lot bigger. Seems they focused more on the parking lot. I'm not complaining because who doesn't love parking options? It was an overall decent food experience. The one star deduction is because they forgot the toast with one order. Also, when I walked in to grab my food the desk clerk, hostess... mispronounced my name. I corrected him and he still looked me in the eyes and said it wrong. At that point, it seemed he was just being a jerk. I signed for my food and left. He said I had contacted a call center but when I called back to complain it went right to the south hill Denny's location. This was the worst dinner ever. Only reason it's getting two stars is because of the gentlemen that was our server cook and cashier this dude working hard literally took our order then had to cook it and serve it then rang us up. Unfortunately my chicken tenders were over extremely cooked and then my fries were cold. Wife's food was burnt hash browns were as hard as croutons. Had to ask for all of our food because he forgot some this guys needs some help or dennys needs to close the door. To top everything off there four other employees that I barely saw working. Some guy walking around in armored vest and an apron like is he security for the kitchen. Walks around staring at everyone makes you super uncomfortable. Unfortunately even with kids eat free I feel like we over paid. Just sad experience especially for a newer place. Definitely won't be back and will make sure none all friends and family don't either. Food was good, however our server Hazel seemed to have an attitude behind the counter right next to where we were sitting and we could hear EVERYTHING they were saying which a majority was not appropriate especially around customers. I didn't get the other girls name that hazel was interacting with, but she was short with gages and longer hair, whilst they were at it i saw the girl with gages eating the oreos straight out of the bin, with her bare hands and touching them all. which is all against food code right there, she than went and made the milkshake without washing her hands. they need to get a scoop and a wear gloves while making food. overall the management needs to get their workers under control, food was good but most likely won't be returning after what i heard and saw today. read more
