I was recently reminded why I have a literal stack of unused Panera gift cards sitting in my room. This location is a complete disaster -- I cannot tell you how many times I have tried to come to this Panera and walked out within 5 minutes because the lobby is incredibly chaotic, staff is clueless, and they are ALWAYS out of SO MANY ingredients. Most of the time there are 15+ people in this lobby and everyone just looks around at each other with so much awkwardness and annoyance because surely no one knows what is happening or if it'll be their turn to order during this lifetime. Staff needs to step it up, but to me, problems run a lot deeper than clueless staff. Everytime I come here for lunch whether it be I pre-order or I go through the drive-through or I go through the dining room I spend 30+ minutes waiting for my food even when it tells me it is prepared. The spicy take sandwich was the worst. Did not look like picture at all. The chicken patty was the size of 2 chicken nuggets. Looking at the bun you could not.see the patty. There were 4 small pickle chips that were not chip but small pieces. Complained to manager and see was not interested in our complaints. Recently visited Panera in this location for pick up after ordering online and it was a really coherent and smooth transaction. When you reach the restaurant, you have to tap "I am here" button on your email to announce your arrival and the staff brings your order in a tray, following all precautions. You can also go inside and pick up your order. Either way, it was a friendly interaction. The food was good! Simple, healthy and flavorful. You really cannot go wrong. And it remained in great shape by the time I reached home. The chipotle sauce was delish in it with fresh tomatoes and veggies and the smoked pulled chicken. The Mac and cheese and broccoli cheddar soup was yummy too! Try it out and you will definitely like it and it will keep you satisfyingly full for a long time! read more

We have lived in the area for five years and the four times we have decided to get food from this location, it's just been a bad.experience. I keep thinking it will change after giving it some time but there are clearly some management issues going on here. They frequently leave stuff out of the order, food that's supposed to be hot is cold, portions are wrong, wait time takes forever, etc... Today was the last time I'll be going here. It's nearly a $3.00 upcharge for the tomato cucumber salad and there was literally about 1/2" - 1" of a tiny bowl filled on both my husband and my salads to where you could see the bottom of the bowl (we had not eaten anything before I took this pic). To make matters worse, my first bite had a long wavy black hair in it. So I guess, on the bright side, I didn't feel like I wasted much throwing it out. I don't come to this panera often because every time I do it turns out to be the worst panera experience I've ever had. The coffee has no taste and is barely lukewarm, soup is cold, butter for my bagel is frozen. The latte my fiancé ordered also tasted like lukewarm water and when asked if they could remake it they said we'd "have to pay for a new one". Dining room never gets cleaned at this location either. I love their app, the ability to order from the road and have breakfast or lunch ready for me, I love their catering for small groups and I totally love their reward program. Now onto this location. Recently remodeled in a super busy location is always packed around lunch time. The staff does a good job keeping things moving and clean. I like that they added the touch pad ordering system, so I don't have to wait in line to order. The put out food quickly and often come pick up my empty plate before I get a chance to do so myself. They keep the iced teas filled and fresh and the restrooms are always nice and clean. Plus there is lots of parking and it's super easy to get in and out of. read more

My Go to place always when I want a good salad that is healthy. I love that I can customize my meal and if for any reason it wrong they are quick to make it right or offer me a replacement salad at another date. Pastries always looks tempting to want to eat. Panera Bread has great tasting food but the Puyallup, WA location has the worst customer service I have seen. Twice now my orders have had missing items and there response to this is "we can mail you a voucher. " Who does that? And once you get the voucher it can only be used in person in the cafe. So now I lose the convenience of placing the order in advance (making sure they have all of items) and making sure it's ready when I get there (I have kids). So, for your initial mess up you are going to send me an item that inconveniences me even more. I even called the store and asked if I could put in the order over the phone and pay for it when I came in and the "manager" said there call-in order system does not allow that. Really? I'm reviewing the sausage and egg breakfast sandwich. First time trying breakfast at Panera. The bread was perfectly toasted ciabatta that was chewy but tender. The egg is a scrambled egg cooked flat but not obviously egg mixture like McDonald's. It seems like they used a real egg. The sausage was OK... Very very mild with not much flavor, and it was a llittle slimy as if it had been boiled. I think cooking it on a grill where it would have had some bit of char might have improved a lot. Cheese was almost non existent. The staff seem friendly and accommodating but the sandwich was simply mediocre. You are better off getting a Sausage & Egg McMuffin any day. read more

I am so tired of the drive-through service at this Panera bread. Tonight like many other nights, I'm running behind and have to order takeout food. When I arrive, they ask for my name, I give it to them, and they have a hard time finding my food, then when I get my food The order is not placed in the bag correctly. They hand me my bag with it closed and say have a nice day close their window and then turn their back on me. I stay in the drive-through and check my bag all wow they keep turning and looking out the window to see if I've driven away yet, the reason I check my bag is because it's usually wrong again I am correct. I am missing things that I ordered and practically have to be on the window with my hand to get the get the young lady to turn around and acknowledge me when I ask for items I get the half smile. OK let me get that for you. then the window closes and you hear of the negative comments this is not how you get return customers. I work hard I pay my bills and yet I still get treated like I'm dirt by a young teenager or someone in their early 20s who has no clue how my day has been, a sincere smile can go along way. I won't be coming back to this place again in the evening every time that I do, it's always poor service or we're out of that item or some kind of excuse. My recommendation is don't go to this Panera bread after lunch because you're going to get treated like you don't matter and that to me doesn't deserve loyalty. read more

Got our food and sat by the station where the employees prep the food- table 15 to be exact. I could hear the girls in there talking very negative about customers and making fun of them. Totally not ok and unprofessional. I customized my own salad and asked for no onions and add mozzarella. It came with a TON of onions and literally two pieces of mozzarella. Total rip off.
