So my friends and I found out about their free pastry deal where if you sign up, you'll be able to receive a free pastry.. My friends ordered online and I ordered in person but when I arrived, I only saw my order ready. I thought they just haven't gotten to it yet but then when I asked, one of the workers told me they held it back due to fraud happening lately from the free pastry deal. I do not think it's professional to accuse someone of fraud without any concrete evidence. I felt very awkward and in fact disrespected in this situation the worker put me through. I am aware panera may have problems with fraud but that does not give the right for them to accuse a customer of fraud. It's also not like we didn't purchase see anything, I did in fact spend money so them accusing me of the sort displays their stinginess and arrogance. The food was good but the workers respect for a customer is important also which is why I am giving a 2 star rating. This is not appropriate and should not happen to any customer. I felt like just because I am a high school minority , they were quick to assume that I was taking advantage. I do not wish this upon anybody! read more

Serving sizes for TO GO items are tiny and over priced. I got a bowl of soup for $6.50 that was actually a small cup and a large Mac n cheese for almost $9 and it was also in a small cup... such a rip off! This place is getting worse and worse. I am cancelling my coffee subscription. All the coffee and tea tastes Terrible now. And the app says you can't order breakfast past 10:30 am. Food was good. Service sucks, went back in to order another lemonade and all the workers including the manager where to busy making sandwiches to come to the counter and ask if I needed help or to take my order. I'm a frequent customer of Panera Bread and this was my first time at this location. By far the worst Panera establishment I've seen. I came here because I wanted to eat lunch while working on a school assignment. I was seriously concerned of catching something here. The place is in really bad shape. The ceiling in the dining area looked like it was falling down, the floors looked like they hadn't been vacuumed or swept in months, the few empty tables remained uncleaned for a while eventhough staff kept walking by them. Most staff looked mad and never asked if anyone needed anything. In other Panera establishments, staff will walk by and ask. Most of the leather seats were badly torn. The entire place was pretty dirty. Honestly, if I hadn't already paid for my order on the app, I wouldn't have grabbed food here. If the dining area looked the way it looked, I certainly do not want to know what the kitchen area looks like. The drinks area was not stocked and the entire place looked seriously dirty. read more

Nice atmosphere, bottomless coffee...but... so far not been impressed with the sandwich fare. I know there's such a thing as elegant simplicity, but overly simple? This egg, sausage, and cheese sammy was dry, quite bland, actually, and did I mention dry? I had to smear some butter from the bagel table on it just so it didn't feel like I was chewing alum ;) I wish I'd taken a pic of it. On the other hand, the servers are personable and efficient, and the manager seems a good dude. Ordered delivery for several items from this establishment and was missing a sandwich. Called the store to see if I could get it delivered because someone literally didn't get their meal and I was told no and that I have to go pick it up. So because of COVID-19 and health concerns I asked if I could just have the sandwich refunded, and guess what, I have to go in to do that too. So I don't have a way of getting my money back or the sandwich. Don't offer delivery if you can't follow up with delivery errors and fix problems over the phone. Had the classic grilled cheese with the French onion soup. I can understand stand when it's dinner time and the place is busy, but when you want water with lemons and there is no lemons and you ask the Manger twice and you still have no lemons there something wrong. I have been to this location about thirty times since it opened, and lately I have been using the Rapid Pickup. I have not experienced the problems that the others are talking about, except to the extent that there are similar problems at other Paneras. For example, if you try to substitute for a baguette, you'll usually get a baguette anyway. They correct it by giving you the chips or apple. Similarly, you will get a larger salad in house than to go. As to the Rapid Pickup, they have never messed up my order. Just make sure to check before leaving. Typical Panera food. If you've eaten in any other Panera, the food is exactly the same. As to this location, it can be crowded because it is close to the University of Redlands, and students and retired people camp at tables for a long period of time. However, that is Panera's model. In short, if you like Panera, this location should be fine. If you are overly-picky and order a bunch of special orders, perhaps you're better eating at home or at a fine dining establishment instead of a fast casual joint. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER. I live less than a block away so I always try to give it another chance but do not use the rapid pickup if you want your order to be correct. I am still waiting for a manager to return my call from an issue I had 2 months ago. The food is always soggy and loaded up on condiments to the point that it is inedible. Learn some customer service! I've come here a couple of times, mostly since I started dating my GF because she really loves the 3 cheese souffles. I hate eggs and usually just end up with a bagel and some coffee. The coffee is really good, the bagels are fresh and tasted fine. My problem is that when I walk into a practically empty cafe, with 4 people behind the counter and stand there for 3 entire minutes with nary a glance, it pisses me off and I'll never go back. Apparently dusting the bagel slicer and joking with your other co-workers is more important than a paying customer. The reason for the low score was the service not the food. The food was a three, I've had better but it was okay. The service though was lacking. I ordered some food for Mother's Day, today, and was told that it would be ready at 6:00 AM and I could pick it up. I arrived alittle early so I waited in my truck, wishing that I was still asleep. At six, I walked up to the door and it was still locked. I checked the hours and it didn't open until 7:00 AM. So I waited, went and got a cup of coffee and a scone at Starbucks. When seven arrived I walked in and was told that my order would take thirty minutes to be done, some souffles that I was told would be waiting for me upon my arrival. I told the manager of the problem and he didn't seem to even care. Darn, a cup of coffee at least for my wait! Nothing at all for the mix-up. Just say your sorry at least! Was craving soup tonight so decided to stop by on my way home despite the fact that last time the food was pretty horrible . I work in a restaurant and figured it was just a bad day. It was pretty busy but I was helped quickly. The girl who rang me up was smiling and super friendly. I ordered the fontina grilled cheese and French onion soup. The grilled cheese would have been good if it was toasted on both sides . Maybe that's how they do it ? I dont know but a sandwich that's grilled on one side and soggy on the other just doesn't feel good in the mouth ! The French onion soup was pretty bland and had no cheese in it. The two stars are def just for the great customer service. Everyone working looked pretty happy to be there and that would make me want to continue eating here but the food has just gone way down in quality and consistency . So long Panera ! read more

whoever is in charge of the ordering really dropped the ball! I have been denied a bread bowl (been out a few days according to the employees), hot chocolate (out of chocolate syrup), croutons for my french onion soup and even baguettes for my soup. The family next to me complained they are even out of coffee. It is only 6:30 pm on a Monday. The people all around me are complaining that they were out of their requested foods too! This does not bode well for them during the holidays if they are already not ordering proper supplies. And as the final insult to injury my soup is ice cold! Meh. It's over priced and always crowded. The staff was friendly. I ordered a "Pick 2" panini and broccoli cheddar soup. Both could have been warmer. Soup was tasty. The sandwich was tiny (like palm of my hand) for $6. My son's kids menu grilled cheese was bigger. They were out of the regular bread for it so his came out late and with the wrong side, a big deal for a hungry 15 mo old. My husbands half turkey sandwich was small and on the heel of the bread. I am a nurse at a local hospital and a bunch of us decided it would be a nice treat to order from Panera since they teamed up with Postmates for delivery. Firstly, postmates did not want to deliver our order as it was over $75, so we had to get 2 separate orders, which incurred 2 separate delivery fees. When our orders arrived, there was a missing meal (unfortunately it was the pregnant nurse). We called the manager and she told us they would not deliver it and we would have to pick it up. We explained to her that we are nurses and can't leave the hospital and she said we had to pick it up or get a refund. This place has really gone downhill. Whenever I go in here, I am reminded why I don't very often stop in. Like a fool, I stopped in here a couple of days ago because I wanted a quick salad. It was a freezing cold night, and it was just as freezing cold inside as it was outside. They didn't even have heat, and there are very noticeable tears in the faux leather armchairs, which is so depressing to see. The place is so shabby, and they won't give you butter for your bread unless you ask for it, which I did. Then I had to get up and track down a knife because they will only give you a fork with your salad. They don't offer you water or napkins either. Worst of all, my green goddess chicken salad didn't contain one bite of chicken, and I overheard the customer in the booth next to me complaining of the same thing. My half portion salad was a dismal pile of wilted greens featuring old lettuce that was noticeably brown around the edges, along with some bits of bacon, and no chicken. I would've been better off purchasing a packaged salad for half the price at Albertson's next door and eating it in my car, where it's warmer. Avoid this shabby dump at all costs. There's just no point in going in there when Jack in the Box will give you a better salad, and better ambience too, and for half the price. read more
