I placed an online order for this morning at 7:45 which I should have put 7:30 which is my fault. I call Panera Bread and speak to the man that answered the phone and asked if he could have my order ready by 7:30 and if they could slice the bagels. The man said he would have them start working on the order. I get there at 7:30 and my order isn't ready. When I get my order at 7:45 I realize the coffee cup isn't in the bag like I ordered. Then as I arrive to my appointment I realize that they didn't put my breakfast sandwich in the bag and the bagels weren't even cut. I admit I put the wrong time but seriously did you guys even pay attention to the order! I'm done with Panera Bread at this location. Panera had the food of a cafe with the atmosphere of a restaurant. Although for some items they can be a little on the pricey side, every thing is delicious. They have everything from pastry to breakfast to sandwich to soup and salad. The place is always clean and well taken care of and a fun place to stop for lunch. read more

On Sunday Feb.25 I stopped for a quick supper at 5:30 after an afternoon concert, wanting "comfort food" with a bit more substance than soup. I ordered chicken alfredo and nothing else. The presentation was so dull (not even a piece of parsley--just the pasta in a dish on a large plate with a part of a baguette. Well, there was perhaps two ounces of dry shredded string-like chicken on the top of the pasta, or was it chicken-like string? One would have to mix it in to get any moisture, and after tasting the flavorless chicken, I decided to set it aside on the plate and just eat the (mediocre) alfredo pasta. Poor value for $9.99. Probably the last time I return to this Panera, while I have enjoyed other locations. read more

I ordered From here today for our company lunch. It was individual orders for 8 people. It took over half an hour to take my order and I was placed on hold 3 times. The last time I was put on hold the employee Kayleen told me to hold on because she has to check with the supervisor on what to do next. The person who was picking up the food was there already so they took the payment in person. Then I get a call from the person who picked up the food and he told me that the order was lost after 20 minutes my order was originally placed and paid. They told him it'll be about 5 minutes and he still had to wait 40 minutes after. Our lunch got here 45 minutes late and to top it off, half of our order was missing! So we had to go back to pick up the rest of the order. Very disappointed in this service. read more

We eat at Panera pretty frequently, and have found the Redlands location to be generally clean, with friendly staff, good service, and fresh food. The value-conscious will note that some things are better than others; I've found the Greek salad a very poor value for the money (I actually thought they might have left something out of it), whereas the seasonal salads (Mediterranean Salmon) tend to be better. Overall, portions tend to be relatively small for their price, but the food itself is fresh, of good quality, and far better than average taste for fast casual dining. Atmosphere is relaxed with a hip feel (think Starbucks meets IHOP). It isn't cheap, but it's decent food in a good atmosphere. The value factor would maybe warrant three stars, but the fourth gets added for the freshness and variety of ingredients. read more

UPDATED May 2016: I left a previous review, but after a string of recent bad experiences (four in a row that were pretty dreadful) I came back and amended my reviewed. I am a Panera fan (I usually come in an average of twice a week) and I live close by so I'm really bummed this location has gone so far downhill. If I had reviewed when this location first opened, I would have given it five stars. Last year I did leave a review and at that point, it was down to four stars. After today, I'm giving it three stars ... barely. My order is rarely correct, they are often out of things, they keep removing popular items from the menu (which I know is a Corp issue and not anything this location can control). On top of these things, their online ordering system charged me twice recently and even though I could show them where the order went in twice, they refused to refund my money until I actually came back with a bank statement showing the charge actually went through twice. Ineffective customer service to say the least. On top of these newer issues, the cleanliness has not improved (you usually need to bus your own table) and they still have trouble keeping the tea made and the drink area stocked and presentable. I like the food (when it's what I've ordered) a lot. Most of the staff try to be pleasant and helpful (some very much so)--makes me wonder if there are corporate training issues, unrealistic expectations, and/or a lack of support. I hope they get it together because I'm getting really close to finding another "go-to" spot. read more

Love this Panera, I live down the street so it's very convenient to put in an online order and it is always ready by the time I get there. I also enjoy studying inside with the comfy and large dining areas available. I have noticed that I often see managers standing back while one order taker is left to handle large lines of people, but the order takers are always so polite and pleasant I give them a lot of props for staying calm and providing great service. I entered the restaurant at 11:48 AM. There was a lengthy line and only one person on register so of course the wait to order was long. The beverage bar was out of napkins and the few lemon wedges were covered in liquid. I wonder how long they have been sitting in the container? A few hours, days, weeks, months? The iced tea dispenser was almost empty and although a staff member was just there, there was no effort to replenish the tea or wipe down the counter. Next, I found an empty table but I had to wipe it off as did several other patrons. Trash was trash on the floor around several tables. I did not see any staff making an effort to clean it up but I did observe an elderly customer pick up the trash on the floor. My soup arrived lukewarm. Where is the store manager? Does he / she not care about the cleanliness of the restaurant? I don't see myself returning to this Panera. read more

OMG Cyress store in Redlands cannot get orders correct if their life depends on it! Today in my order I ordered a cinnamon cruch scone and they marked my ticket with a red pen that they checked the order but they gave me some kind of lemon looking scone. I didn't order a sandwich this time because for every past sandwich I ordered in the past serveral months they got every one wrong. Last time they gave me a muffie instead of a muffin and this time they gave me the wrong scone. The sad thing is every time we pick up my order staff at Panera has doubled checked the order to insure it's correct. I'd check it myself except my husband picks up the order for me and brings it to me at work. He doesn't have time to check it because he's in a hurry to get to work we figure staff there double checked the order so you assume it's correct. In order to make it right I have to take the order back to them since we didn't have it delivered by them so they won't deliver a corrected order. My problem is I give them the benefit of the doubt thinking each time they'd get it right. I am so beyond disappointed with Panera. read more

WORSE experience ever! Counter help friendly ... tables dirty ... coffee lukewarm ... after asking FOUR times "HOT" chocolate arrived less than lukewarm! Apparently it had sat on the delivery counter long enough in its heavy mug to become cold! Only one dining room delivery server. Management was less than responsive! This place seriously needs better guidance and oblivious more help! At the prices Panera charges I expect at least decent service and hot food/hot coffee/"hot" hot chocolate. There are too many other places in Redlands where I can spend my money and receive good service and hot food. I will have to think twice before returning here. read more

I came with my coworker for an early lunch. Everything is so disorganized. The server passed us twice with our food even though we had the number in a visible corner on the table. The hot chocolate i ordered was not good at all and the brownie my friend order was as hard as a rock. I had asked the cashier to charge my drink on a gift card and I would pay the rest cash instead she charged my entire order on the card thinking that it's what I had asked. Even though she offered to fix it, I didn't want to be anymore difficult and I told her that it was fine. On the plus side, my muffin and mac n cheese were fine. read more

I called in my order which shouldve been ready in 15min...I didn't LEAVE my house for 15 min, get there and the guy swipes my card and walks off -- I wait another 10min (making a total of 50min since i ordered) before my name is shouted and my bag is slammed on the counter. I get home and my soup isnt hot, the bread bowl is not cut out and the sandwich isn't how I asked for it. It's not like it was busy -- I just don't understand what happened?!?! I cannot explain why or how but I will admit that their pumpkin soup in the fall time or so is just the most spectacular food humanity has created. Terrific staff here, at least today! I was eating lunch at busy time with my two little ones and one had to go to the bathroom so we had to leave our table. They are so efficient that when we got back to our table our food was cleared and my son's little hot wheels car was gone. I told a worker and she put a new order in for me free of charge and a manager and many workers were looking all over for my son's car :-) read more

Went there again earlier this week and it seems as if service is getting worse. They only had two cash registers open during lunch rush, so it took close to 15 minutes to order my food. As I waited for my food at the counter (another 10 minutes) I saw a manager texting on her cell phone and then returned to making sandwiches- she didn't change her glove or wash her hands! GROSS. I have been to many Panera restaurants all over the United States. This one in Redlands, California has to be the dirtiest, most unkept Panera around. The tables are filthy, trash under the tables and on the seats, unbussed food trays on many of the tables, and there are several employees with nothing to do talking and laughing behind the register. I mentioned the condition of the restaurant to the on-site manager, telling her not to take it personally. But honestly, this is the second or third time I have been in this restaurant and it is in this condition. There are no lines waiting to order and the place is probably less than half full. Great food, terrible app and curbside pickup online order experience. I'm trying to share my experience wherever I can because Panera Bread has NO options for surveys, reviews, or online help. I don't want to be angry or blame any employees AT ALL, but my experience using the curbside pickup function in the app failed miserably. I put in an ahead online order of bagels, selecting only ones still in stock, and when I get there a few hours later they told me that they ran out of bagels that morning. If you ran out of bagels before I placed my order, why should the app let me order them?? And why didn't anyone contact me to tell me my order can't be fulfilled for the 3 hours my order was placed? I waited for like 15-20 minutes outside and when I called the store the employees said they didn't know what the label meant and that they ran out of bagels a long time ago before I placed the order. I got a refund, but i'm frustrated that this could even happen. I feel like there's some disconnect with how the app ordering works and the poor employees who are just trying to work. I wanted to share my experience to ask that panera bread work on this so that it can't happen to other people--it took a lot of time out of my day. With everything happening during a pandemic, pickup orders are very important for health safety; especially when their workers are out there risking their health just to help sell some bagels. If any panera workers are reading this, please be sure to review this and work on this problem; I probably won't be returning anytime soon via the app out of frustration! I can't and won't risk other's health right now, nor mine, by having to go inside the store again anytime soon. read more

Ordered on line last night for pick up this morning. Collected the bag got all the way to work to find out the breakfast sandwiches were not in the bag. I called the store, the manger was a total ASS HOLE. Tried to tell me I ordered the wrong way and I have to back into the store to get my refund. They were unwilling to refund my card any other way and refused to put the charges for the sandwiches I did not receive on a gift card. Their customer service is non existent!! This is the second and last time I have had problems with this store. I will never be going there again!! I will be getting my bagels and pasties elsewhere.
