Paid $31 for 2 halves of a sandwich and 2 cups of soup and 2 drinks. That's pretty pricey if you ask me. This place is clearly overwhelmed. They have orders coming from all directions ( walk-in, drive-thru, online) and they're struggling to manage. This has happened a couple times recently but today was the worst yet. Ordered online about 6:40pm got the email confirmation that my order would be ready at 6:55. It does say "Estimated" ready I know. I arrived for pick up, It was a mess. The dining room was full of people waiting, some had been there for over an hour and all were visibly upset. Like others , I was SO excited when Panera opened closer to my house... would not have to trek to Fontana or Rancho Cucamonga to get a decent bagel, sandwich or bread loaf... or would I? When they first opened, I was an authorized buyer for a huge local company - and already had an account with the Fontana location, but with ordering for many, many breakfast meetings, it was difficult for Fontana to even deliver in time for my meetings, yet alone have someone pick it up. So when the Rialto location opened, was excited and used them right away. To my dismay, their incompetence was apparent right from the beginning when they just didn't show up for the first meeting I ordered from them. I was furious, but I thought I would wait awhile, continue to use Fontana, and let them get some experience under their belt before trying again. Needless to say, snap forward 4 years, yada yada yada... no more job after pandemic, no more big orders for company - they never in fact got it right before pandemic. But today I went to Rialto Panera just as customer through drive- thru- which I do about every 6 months or so- at this point just hoping they have had enough time now to operate as a functional restaurant. But hope as I may, still they are dysfunctional. I went this time at approximately 9:15 am- yes, a little late in the morning for bagels- but since the last time I went at 7am-ish and was told it was too early for my selection of a dozen different flavored bagels, I thought I would try a little later.. just trying g to order 6 bagels- 3 everything and 3 cinnamon crunch and some cream cheese and 1 coffee- I was - quite rudely- told " at this time we are not going to have those flavors- we would only have blueberry or jalapeño. I'm a tone like I should know that on a Thursday morning at 9:00 am - I should know that's what they will have. In a snarky tone that cannot escape my memory. What is sad is that even if they didn't have my flavors- had they only said in a non- snarky tone- something like " I'm sorry but we only have blueberry and jalapeño bagels at the moment, would you like to try one of those or how about a few breakfast sandwiches?" The sad thing is I would have said "YES!" And tried those breakfast sandwiches and spent more than double what I was going to! But this Panera cannot get out of its own way! I have lowered my expectations and would have been so happy to give them my $ and NOT go down the street to Jamba Juice instead! I would have accepted their incompetence if only they could get the customer service part right! Or at least remove the snarkiness that seems to permeate out of this location! I have been told I'm too early, too late, ordering too much, not enough- anything that can make excuses for them not to give me my order! Sorry this is so long- I think I am just finally giving up and realizing that some places and some people just cannot ever get it right.. 4 years is a long time to wAit and hold out hope.. but I'm finally done- I give up. "Accuracy matters" my receipt says, interestingly enough I unknowingly did what my receipt stated and got told by cashier Leslie "that's not what you said" story is I went to dine in (patio) and ordered my food and Cinnabon. I requested it to be warmed up and she allegedly did not hear that so after eating my food I go back inside to tell her she didn't warm my Cinnabon and I was met with " if you would have asked I would have warmed it" now I was disgusted by her response and it wasn't worth making her give me a new pastry. Why would I want my food warm but not my pastry when I'm dining in? I just said okay and walked out. It was 20 til closing, her head was spinning and she was moving at turtles pace. Every single time I order curbside pickup here they never bring the food. The last 4 times I went I sat in the car for 15-20 minutes. I figured no big deal things are crazy right now. EVERY single time I've walked inside the employees have been sitting down/standing around talking. It's honestly ridiculous and I spend too much money here to constantly have a problem with them. It's been twice now that I've gotten watery ass soup. Of course I don't check it because I don't think I have to. The cream of chicken soup is my favorite, and the recent times I've ordered (this past Friday, and the week before) the soup watery and only broth, no chicken, veggies or rice. I returned for Dessert yesterday. Walked inside and the staff was very friendly. Greeted me on my way in and when I left a young lady made sure she stopped cleaning and said goodbye to me. I thought that was very nice. So let's talk about these small cookie packages they had right at the Register.... Yummmmy... and if that's not enough of an expressive description, they were soft, chocolatey and like Pringle's. You can't eat just one! I am here to give my honest review. Unfortunately my first impression wasn't the best but that doesn't mean this business is lacking anything. I just share my experience and you take out what you want. I had never experienced Panera so the price was not what i expected for the quality of what I rec'd. However I paid a little over $5.00 for about 10 cookies and it was very much worth it. First time at Panera bread in Rialto and they had excellent customer service! The restaurant has a lot of tables to study, hangout with big groups of friends, or have a relaxed time out. Used the self checkout pads to order our food and by the time I was filling up my drink our food was ready. We both got strawberry poppyseed salads, a bacon turkey sandwich, and a regular turkey sandwich. The food was really good, had great customer service, and would highly recommend to anyone checking out Panera bread. read more

I love Panera, but they cheated me on my cappuccino. My medium cappuccino was less then 25% full in a new cup. There is no need for this. Our work place orders from them often and things like this become tiresome. I called and I was on hold so long. The food is great, heathy and hot when it arrives. This is my favorite location to visit because of the cool new self-ordering system they have. You get your own tablet to customize your order then you simply wait for your name to be called at the que and they even organize orders on a shelf in alphabetical order. Came to this location for lunch yesterday. My friend and I waited 40 minutes and we had not received our food. We requested a refund. The cashier that helped us was extremely nice and apologetic. The manager that helped with the refund was rude. He did not exchange words with us at all until he said, "put your card in" for the refund. I will never visit this Panera location again. The little manager with the checkered pants needs to be replaced by someone who can run the store better. read more

I'm a big fan of Panera Bread, but I had an awful experience today. Me and my friend ordered food and the person at the window (about 5:30pm) was rude and didn't know what kind of pastries they carried. It was not a pleasant experience and I don't think I will be back soon. The food was okay just okay. They removed several ingredients from their meals, but failed to let us know, update their menu or their prices. I don't think I'll be back anytime soon. read more

05/10/20 I stopped by this morning to pickup a few bake good and a breakfast sandwich. I arrived 10 min before 11 am but didn't reach the window until a little past 11am. The cashier informs me that it's pas 11 and I can't order breakfast. I was annoyed but decided to order pastries, they are all out of pastries! You are a bakery and it's only 11am! Also, they had no drink except for coffee and were out of yogurt for a parfait . They didn't provide me with a receipt so I was unable to rate their bad service. I go to panera at least once a week and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had! This location needs to get it together. I work 5mins away and I usually place a mobile order because I have a 30min lunch. I get there at 11:05, and my order should have been ready. I check in with them at 11:15 for an update just to find out that my order has been taken. I get my remake at 11:22 just to go back to work to clock back in and not enjoy my food. This review is for food delivery pick up. Customer service is trash. So they said it would be 10 minutes for the food to be ready. There is a table especially put out for food delivery but it is not utilized and their order screen was down. 20 minutes later I go and ask about the food and it amazingly was sitting on the counter for about 5 minutes without a word being said. read more

If you expected cleanliness do not come here. Tables were disgusting, floor was covered in leftover food and the bathrooms didn't even have toilet paper. Service was non existent. Our meal was incomplete so we had to ask for a replacement. Food was cold and undercooked. There was a group of employees hanging out near the front door doing absolutely nothing. My family ordered a takeout, picked up and went home. They left an item off the list. I called and they said to come back and pick up. When I got there they gave said " oh sorry " that's it!! My time to return was worth nothing I guess. No compensation for having to drive back!! I guess the must do this all the time. They didn't feel I did this because I was happy to do this.
