I normally don't write reviews like this, but the young workers during my visit really left me bothered. I've been coming to this location for a long time and have never had a bad experience until now. On 8/26/25, between 10:50-11:50 AM, it took nearly an hour for just two sandwiches to be made. The young female worker, who showed up late around 11:04 (bringing the total to three employees on shift), came in with an attitude and seemed to take her frustration out on customers. To make matters worse, after waiting an hour, one of the sandwiches was still made incorrectly. On a positive note, I want to thank Michael, the manager, who apologized and handled the situation professionally once he returned from a delivery. If I could give zero stars, I would. I came in expecting decent service, but what I got was downright rude. A woman named Natalie--who I believe is the manager--was incredibly dismissive and had a nasty attitude from the moment we walked in. Then a tall, skinny guy named "Drew" (that's what he said his name was) started complaining loudly about how much he hates the customers. Right in front of customers. If you're a healthcare worker in this area and want to get a bite to eat for your long 12 hr shift, do NOT go to this Firehouse Subs near the Hospital. There was only one customer in line ahead of me and she'd ordered and they were about to make her one sub. I had 45 minutes until I needed to clock into work and the hospital is 5 minutes away. I placed my order and the 2 workers were doing everything BUT making my sub. They were on their phones, talking to each other, and "lolligagging" around. 30 minutes passed and still no sandwich. I asked them if they were almost about to make my sandwich and they were like "oh yeah, you're next." But they were still making the other customers sandwich and taking forever to do so. I took a loss on my sandwich that I'd pad $24 for the large combo. I just left with a bag of chips and made it to work right at 7pm. They wasted my time, my money, and my patience. This is my first time visiting and i think the last. Honestly I love Firehouse Subs and have been to different locations and I am very regretful on how my experience today at my very own city location was disheartening!! I just came today Tuesday to redeem T-mobile's Tuesdays promotion. My mistake for not checking on how to redeem but the lady behind the counter could have said it with a smile and explain nicely that I have to order on line! Im not sure if the staff today: Tuesday, 11/7/23 @ this hour 3:30 pm, are happy to serve cause of such unprofessional attitude. So i finally figured out how use app and order online. Order will be ready for pick up by 4:15 pm so we waited . By 4:16 I inquired on status of my pick up order, I was rudely directed to read a posted sign that said Online Order Pickup! I misunderstood the sign I read that said third party. I said I was not a third party cause I ordered myself online. Then they checked behind the counter called out my name and said just few more minutes to be ready. Finally got my order at 4:18 without handing out a drinking cup. I wasn't sure where it was located. Another lady handed me a cup. My favorite Meatball sub is what got the stars. The sauce tasted perfectly withe scrumptious meatballs topped with melted cheese served in the toasty bread bun. My hubby liked the hook and ladder sub which had a very generous multiple turkey and ham slices. Love the red chairs and made a very impressive ambience of a fireman's passion. My hook and ladder sandwich was delicious and so was the meatball sub. Service wasn't that great. First time in this location 1550 west valley Blvd in Colton. Reception was very cold. They still entertained our questions but It's like "don't bother me" message we got. Got our order past the 4:15 pick up time placed on line. Place was clean and organized. All gender restroom but need staff to open when needed for use. Still want to come back and try other entries on their menu. Hopefully will have a better reception and service. read more

We were paying customers who asked if we could use the public restroom. We were told by the manager, "Michael", that the restrooms were "for employees only". When we asked why, we were told that "the manager decided" it would be an "employees only" restroom. There's no way to wash up after eating very messy sandwiches, let alone relieve yourself. We were in this same restaurant not long ago, and the restrooms were still available. WT*?? Messy sandwiches, no public restrooms, and a manager with an "oh well" attitude? I had an incredibly frustrating experience at this location, mainly due to the attitude of the closing manager, Kenneth. My DoorDash driver called me because the restaurant was out of the Pastrami Dip I originally ordered. Since the restaurant has to confirm the order, I was surprised they hadn't flagged this earlier. I then asked for a Meatball Sandwich, but was told they were out--despite the fact that my husband had just successfully ordered one moments before. Apparently, he got the last one. At that point, I was trying to figure out what else to order and asked the driver to cancel my sandwich. I immediately called the restaurant to clarify that I only wanted the sandwich canceled, not my full order. Kenneth, the closing manager, responded dismissively, saying, "I heard you loud and clear." His tone was short, rude, and completely unhelpful. I then proceeded to order a different sandwich and asked if it could be made on garlic bread, only to be told there would be an extra charge. Given that they were out of everything I initially wanted and I was already paying for a more expensive sandwich, I found this completely unreasonable. Instead of offering any kind of customer service, Kenneth doubled down on his unprofessionalism. When I asked for his name (because by this point, it was clear there was a bigger issue), he proudly stated he was the closing manager--fully aware of why I was asking. It seems as though in the midst of being annoyed because I was making them work (what a shame I know!) He missed that. I the meat to bread ratio was OK, but in opinion, there was more shredded lettuce on there, than anything. I usually schedule to pick up my order as soon as my lunch begins and when I arrive it is always ready right on time. You also receive points for every order to earn rewards, which is great. The price of their subs are expensive, in my opinion, and the small sub is really small (for the price), hence the four stars. The staff at this location is friendly and provides what I need when I ask. The sandwiches are good and you can customize them to your liking in the app. They have combo meals with different options for a side; my personal favorite is the mac and cheese. I was excited to finally get out of the car get a sub for dinner and eat. We order our food and after we had paid they say "so you get your food in to-go bags because we are closing soon".
