I just can't say why it took me so long to try a Panera Bread restaurant? They are pretty good and this is the 4th or 5th time I have visited one in the last month. I hit this one today as I was up on Arden anyway. I had the Vegetarian Creamy Tomato Soup and it was very good. To tell the truth I had a package of hot pepper flakes in my pocket from the pizza shop the other day. Adding them made the soup more ass kicking good. I always carry a few needed condiments in the console of my car for days like today. I love the rustic baguette they serve with the soup also. I joined the Panera Club last week so today I got a free bagel and a blueberry scone. I guess I get a free bagel each day until the end of the year! Pretty cool! read more

I went here last Sunday the 24th at noon. I give them a mixed review. The service I received at the counter was amazing. The employees were very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. What I didn't like at all - I went into the bathroom and there was a young adult female employee standing still at the sink, just staring blankly ahead. She sheepishly apologized to me. A minute later she left, and the bathroom smelled strongly of marijuana. She'd been smoking or vaping marijuana in the bathroom. This is illegal in CA. It also stunk up the area and I don't think it's safe for an employee to be under the influence. read more

The posted menu prices are lower than the price that rings up at the register. Ordered half sandwich and half salad, both rang up approximately $2.00 more than the menu price!!! I'm filing a fraud complaint with the City of Sacramento. read more

I spend $20 on my meal of soup and half sandwich and small coffee!! I am not happy first my gift card I got wasn't working because e- card!! So they couldn't take it !! Then when I got my order my sandwich was bad the chicken was frozen and they had redo it then the soup tasted like mashed potatoes potatoes it wasn't and last the coffee look like Luke water the only thing that super fresh and good was the bread and I spoke the manager and not much done to say that she was redo my sandwich and dark coffee that I never got made !!! It's my last time I will visit this location!! For sure!! read more

When did Panera get so expensive?? Nearly $50 for lunch for two. That said, food is fair- nothing to cry home about but fresh and filling. Staff accidentally upsized my salad, but not mad about the upgrade given the prices. Large parking lot, plenty of seating- saw a few patrons enjoying a working lunch. Plenty of outlets if you want to bring a laptop! read more

The last few times my husband and I have ordered Panera, our orders have been incorrect or contained mistakes. We have gone as far as to drive home to realize that a vegetarian sandwich (that we ordered) was not in our bag and was replaced by a Turkey one. Usually a mix up is no big deal, but my husband is a vegetarian, so it results in us needing to drive back and get the vegetarian sandwich. Today, he ordered a focaccia veggie sandwich and we received a white bread roll instead. Again, May not seem like a big deal but this is the third time this has happened as of recent and I actually don't remember the last time my order came correctly. It's a bummer because we love Panera and it's not cheap-- especially to continually get the wrong order and be continually disappointed about something we paid for! This time, we didn't drive back to fix it, but it just stinks. :( read more

Thought i'd try the flatbread pizza at Panera. I opted for the chipolte chicken and bacon one; made it the "pick two" option and got the mac n cheese ( this was $20 and no drink). Pizza was tasty, lots of sauce, the bread crunchy, but they just forgot the chicken and bacon part. It turned out to be a tomato pizza as i found a few small pieces of bacon and really, no chicken. The other 3 pieces were the same. Sadly disappointed for the cost. I used to go to Panera a few times a month, but rarely now. It just confirms that i will go there hardly ever. read more

Surreal experience. I asked for the Mediterranean bowl and a medium "homestyle " chicken noodle soup. I was told that they were out of rice for the bowl. What arrived was sliced chicken in a bowl with a little avocado and a few grape tomatoes. It was the most ridiculous excuse for an entree I have EVER been served at a restaurant. The medium chicken soup was smaller than the smallest I have ever seen. Total: $24. At least the coffee was hot and fresh. I typically don't frequent restaurants like Panera. I will never return. read more

Just ordered delivery via DoorDash. Panera didn't give my drink to driver after he asked. "Everything is in the bag". BS. No spoon to eat soup. Fruit cup was pathetic for the 5.29. No napkins. Like with other reviewers, also got a mixed experience. Food was decent and the people at the counter were nice. The utensils I have received though were dirty. I told the staff about it and was replaced with an equally dirty pair. Bathroom also has not been cleaned. read more

Purchased two sandwiches with eggs and sausage to go. Got home and found both sandwiches had no sausage. Called and spoke with the manager and she assured me she would credit my account. Did she????? Nope Watch out for Panera. Service has gotten really awful. That includes the manager. read more

What a fantastic location! Grab a coffee and hit the river trail! I love it! This is a great destination to meet up with friends. I actually experienced one of the most invigorating days of my life, the day I had no expectations, an open heart and the desire for a really good cup of coffee. I meant to grab a cup of Joe and hit the river trail like so many other innocent civilians. There I was, enjoying a hot cup, fresh cream and a sprinkle of raw sugar....perfection. How could anything improve this concoction of proportion? Him. He walked in, said hello and offered a beautiful accompaniment to this lightly sweet and very hot beverage. I now believe that a perfect cup of coffee can open your conscience to lead you to true love! This beautiful soul and I would walk 10 miles side by side and never view a "cup of coffee" in the same light ever again. read more

I rarely go to Panera bc the prices for the food don't seem great. But we were in the area after a track meet and decided to grab some food. We got a few sandwiches salad and Mac and cheese. Both came with one bag of chips and an apple. The Apple was brown, we asked it to be sliced but it looked like it had been sitting out several hours. They have a sign that says they provide a treat if you're not satisfied with your food but they do not offer, and we didn't ask. The rest of the food wasn't bad but it's just nothing amazing either. This visit didn't change my mind, I wish someone would explain to me the hype of Panera? Their orange juice is delicious, along with the Mac and cheese, those are the only things I would order again. read more

Curbside not currently reliable. We ordered, parked, told the app we'd arrived, then got notified our food was ready and would be brought out. Then we waited. And waited. Finally went in to find our order sitting on the counter. When I asked what happened, the woman just said 'oh, we're really busy'. The food is overpriced and mediocre, too, so we won't be rushing back here anytime soon. read more

We ordered sandwich and pizza over 2 hours and 20 minsutes ago, delivery isn't secure apparently, I have no idea who actually has our food. I called the phone number attached to the order and it's another company and the person who answered the phone did not speak English, I'm sorry but that is the only Language I speak. Then she asked me if I'm with Chick Felit. I tried to contact the Panera Bread store on Howe ave where I ordered our food. I do NOT intend to accept the order if it ever comes, and I will NOT pay for this!! Goodbye Panera, this was the 3rd miserable attempt to get food from your store! I miss the ElCamino store. read more

Willllllll! Hi Will. Will was on it, with the door holding. My hands were full. When ppl are hangry, they lose manners! And so, without Will holding all the doors for me, I coulda lost my EXPENSIVE salad. But really, what a California way to be. Thank you Will. And my food was delicious and fresh, so the price was not too ridiculous. P.S : Ill get chips the next time. Any time I choose an apple, it looks like it cane from a gas station in Lake Havasu, Arizona. - so please pretty please, please be mindful of fruit, that looks like its been in an MMA fight. While not the biggest Panera fan, this location was particularly weak. The quality and value just weren't there on a late weekend afternoon. Came in at 2pm to a long wait for my food, but not a big line. Set-up was standard, surfaces could have been a bit cleaner. It was darn right freezing in there on a spring day, with the cold air blowing on most seats. My meh sando tasted a bit funky, like there is another vegetable on it that wasn't actually there. Made me think they either don't clean utensils between orders or get it mixed up in prep. Staff were friendly enough, but seemed like not enough people (see wait discussion above). OK spot for a bite when you can't find other options or have dietary needs they meet. read more

I don't get to visit this Panera Bread that often because it is usually out of my way, but when I do happen to eat here, I find it to be one of the better planned restaurants compared to the others I have been to. This one is much more spacious and can accommodate a lot more customers. They must have done their homework on this one since apparently it can get quite busy during most hours of the day. The ordering counter is ready to handle multiple patrons at a time with plenty of friendly and quick service employees. They have my usual Panera favorites such as the breakfast souffles, Iced mochas, tuna salad sandwiches, the low fat "B Green Smoothie", along with some of their delicious seasonal items like the strawberry and poppy seed chicken salad. They offer a nice menu of items that will satisfy every appetite. Another strategic plus for this location is, that it close to the American River bike trail which makes it a convenient place to meet with fellow bicycle friends. Start off with a hearty breakfast before your journey or end it here with a well earned meal and or beverage. The interior is comfortable and relaxing to socialize, study, or just rejuvenate. The parking lot, however, is not as easy to maneuver through if you have a long bed pick-up or happen to be hauling a trailer. Spaces seem to be a bit narrow and so is the drive through the lot. Chain restaurants have a stigma about them which is usually the case. They sacrifice authenticity for a universal taste that can appeal to the masses and miss the mark of beautifully handcrafted food that can truly create a lifelong customer. Panera Bread is not one of those chains. The one I Adm fortunate to live close to is located at 901 Howe Ave and oh what a treat that is. LOCATION: The location is in a shopping complex with plenty of parking nearby. The exterior is typical of the usual Panera Bread which is always sleek and welcoming. The interior is very spacious. Reminds me of an airport lounge. There's an outdoor eating area with roughly 7 tables and is on the east side of the building under an overhang so the sun isn't a problem. The lighting is perfect for pictures of your food which will be beautifully plated. FOOD: My favorite menu item is the Bacon Turkey Bravo which comes on tomato infused bread. It's absolutely delicious. Light on the stomach and on the wallet pricing under $10. This sandwich and any sit down restaurant is easily $15 and probably not even plated as well. Their lemonade is some of the best I've had and I only drink lemonade when I go out. EXPERIENCE: The moment anyone walks through the door, they are greeted by the workers. The food comes out so fast that I don't even have time to use the bathroom. Everyone is very helpful especially when I couldn't find the butter right in front of my eyes. There is never a large or noisy crowd and it's always a fast moving line to the cashier. The last time I went stayed for about 4 hours. Lost track of time hanging with friends and the environment made us feel right at home. read more

I woke up super hungry and saw a Panera while driving by so I decided to stop by. So glad that I did! I was surprised to see no line, I was greeted right away. I ordered an everything bagel with the chive & onion cream cheese. I also ordered a Carmel latte. The bagel was really good. The main reason I visit Panera is due to the variety of cream cheese they offer. This was my first time ordering a caramel latte and I was pleasantly surprised. It came out real hot, which is always a plus. It was just on the sweeter side so I would ask for less caramel next time. Like most locations there is a ton of seating and tables. It's cute and cozy. They even have a fireplace. It's a great place to study or get work done! read more

This location is much more nicer than the Laguna location. I was craving Broccoli Cheddar Soup, so I decided to come here. It was so delicious! I think $5 for soup is a little bit pricey though. The cashier who was helping me was super sweet. She also gave me a Panera Bread card. I just registered it and I get a free pastry! Yay! read more

I'm not the biggest fan of coleslaw but the one they serve at Buckhorn continues to be one of my favorites-especially when I top it with a touch of bbq sauce-pretty dynamite. Hi, I'm you're average Panera Bread regular. I sip my coffee and sit by myself at a booth for four with my laptop and I do whatever it is I can do to look and/or feel important in front of other people, because that's the only way I can feel good about my life. It doesn't matter what I do,...sometimes I do my taxes, sometimes I work on the novel I started 22 years ago when I was in college, and sometimes I just sit there with an intellectual NY Times bestseller on the table, closed, with the cover facing away from the table so that everyone can see how intellectual I am, while I hide behind my laptop with my headphones on surfing youtube. Take your antics elsewhere. I'm glad you have a conscience during the lunch rush when little Billy and Sally are standing with their single mom by the soda machine while their food gets cold, hunting for the next person to grab their laptop and leave. Theres plenty of seats at Starbucks so go be with your kind. Theres no room for any attention-grabbers when all of us honest patrons who actually pay to support the free wifi you're sucking up can't find a place to enjoy our meal. Panera Bread, I love you. Keep up the great food, but hire a bouncer. read more

I have visited this Panera location over 100 times since it was built in 2005, and I've seen it change significantly over the years. The menu has expanded to cater to more diverse tastes, which is great, but the prices have increased while portion sizes have shrunk, diminishing the value proposition. Recently, I spent $45 and found the portion sizes to be disappointingly small. For that price, I could have gone to a full-service restaurant. The service was also lacking; the register attendant and the manager were both on their phones, and the manager at the front counter seemed preoccupied with a spreadsheet, possibly related to scheduling. His attitude was terrible and weird--if he's busy, he should go to his office. On a positive note, the ambiance remains pleasant with comfortable seating and a cozy decor. However, the decline in service quality and value for money is frustrating. I hope these issues can be addressed, as I've had better experiences at other locations. read more

Today I had worst experience with Panera. In general I love this place always tasty food, good price, nice staff. When we came today to get delicious chicken soup, cashier said they dont have soup, and it will be ready in about an hour! WTF? Okay...shit happens... So we ordered chicken panini and some pastry. When our panini was ready we found out it was super extremely salted! On our complain to staff, that this food is not eatable 'cause of salt, they said "we didn't put any salt in it..." OMG! I dont give a damn what you put in it, and what not...just do smthn. So then some girl propose to make 1 piece without salt and let us try if it's okay... By the time she returned to us with panini, we finished with pastry, and was kind of full...and canceled everything. It's first time I got so bad time in panera! guys u could do so much better! Very disappointed in this place , I came in on Tuesday to order a dozen of their frosted heart shaped cookies for valentines dau an event pick up time was suppose to be 4 , but did tell her I would p just pick them up on my way to dinner to meet a group where I would be needing these cookies . When arrived the clerk couldn't find the cookies , asks manager , who also doesn't know anything, as I than started to get upset than the manager comes to help and points out I shouldn't be getting upset, really I ordered a dozen cookies , which you did find order placed in the computer but they were not made and now have no time to go and scramble up anything else for this group , and I'm not suppose to be upset really!!!!the manager did offer other things, none of which I was interested in, very poor system if you ask me! read more

What can I say? It's probably the best sandwich chain around. Compared to subway, Mr.Pickles, etc. etc. There's something for everyone here, they have a wide array of soups, breads and specials. I liked the free wifi and the atmosphere for web surfing. I think this location is better suited for groups and meals than a hangout lounge, but all in all, I was very satisfied in all dimensions they offered (Coffee, food, aesthetics) I give 4 stars because of the lack of consistency in their product. I absolutely love coming to this Panera Bread! The service is always excellent--the staff are friendly, quick, and ensure that every order is accurate. I had the Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich and paired it with a cup of Tomato Basil Soup. Both were fresh and packed with amazing flavors! The ambiance is cozy and comfortable, with soft music and plenty of seating, making it a great place to relax or catch up on work. I had assumed she put it in the bag because from where I was standing the bag was already sitting open on the counter. I immediately call and tell them I want a refund. For all the churros and a guy says they can only refund the sauce. I say okay, I'm getting in the car and coming back with the churros I need a refund for all the churros lol. He said the manager was no longer in and I'd have to wait until tomorrow. So I call the next day and a different guy says they're going to give me a refund and hangs up abruptly and I think okay awesome. That's all, problem solved! No. Later in the day I get a call and the person is the woman who handed me my order initially. She tells me I'm going to give you this refund but I specifically remember telling you we had no sauce for the churros and I gave you 6 ranch to compensate??? Which wasn't true she gave me two marinara which I assumed came with the cheese sticks and then the 4 ranch I paid for. Now that makes no sense, why would extra ranch make up for not providing the sauce for a dessert. If I understood I was getting dry cinnamon powdered bread with no icing I would have asked for a refund immediately. Plus why would a company call you after they've already given you a refund just to argue with you about what was said and done. Finally to top it all off after I explained everything written above about what she provided me she kept repeating that I was mistaken and she gave me 6 ranch to make up for her not providing the icing. Then she said it one more time for good measure and decided to hang up on me. Super weird unprofessional behavior. I've lived next to the location for 10+ years and I've gone there maybe twice. Not too sure I'll go back after this such an odd experience for how much I paid for mediocre food.

The building itself is totally nice and clean-being how new it was-I expected nothing less. As usual, they had my order done as soon as I got there,though they did give me the ice cream cone first. I guess we were doing dessert before regular food that day and I'm here for it-ice cream was pretty good. The spicy chicken sandwich was served very hot and was pretty tasty. Nothing groundbreaking here-Chick-Fil-A has really good sandwiches and are very satisfying in a pinch or otherwise. The service at this location was stellar-the food was high quality and I wouldn't hesitate to come back whenever I was in the mood for a solid chicken sandwich.

I was really hungry and craving a sandwhich and decided to order a hot pastrami…read more.. the sandwhich seriously had like two slices of pastrami and the shredded cheese on the sandwhich was still cold and not melted at all and there was too much of whatever sauce was on the sandwhich, it was dripping out everywhere ugh shouldn't a hot PASTRAMI have more pastrami then a slice or two?? anyways, it kinda disgusted me idk why do not waste your money here lol it's not worth it all, i could have spent the same amount at the grocerey store and made a way better sandwhich (i'm doing that next time)

I walked in and was immediately greeted and helped with taking my order to go. The service was great at the counter. I got a decent beef stroganoff (but was a little oily for me) and it came with corn bread. Yum! The meatloaf was apparently amazing and delicious... came with mashed potatoes and veggies on the side along with the best cornbread ever (as previously said, Yum!) I showed him the number and husband looked up online to show him. The Manager asked for us to wait and he ran to the store and bought GF. It was so sweet.
