This afternoon, a Hispanic male with glasses (I think he was a manager) threw a salad bowl at his employee, and mumbled something to her in an aggressive manner, while she was ringing me up. So unprofessional! Made me feel uncomfortable, especially for the poor cashier. She put a smile on, and finished taking my order, but I could tell she was upset by the manager. Let me start by saying I went on Sunday at 7:30am because they open up at 7. I went in hoping to purchase 3 cheese souffles. They only had one and only two of the spinach and one of a tomato one. I asked if they were making more and they said no. I mentioned that they just opened are these fresh? She said yes but they wont make more till they run low. Well I think when you only make six at a time you need to make more. Meanwhile they are overflowing with pastries and cookies. The cashier was rude and made me feel as if I was troubling her to look to see if there were more cooking or going to be cooked. Went to this Panera this morning around 9:30 a.m. There was not a single bagel to be found. Manager said they were in the oven. Really??? Went there last week, ordered two egg, avocado sandwiches and when we got the sandwiches there were no eggs. This Panera has been going downhill for quite some time. Food was mediocre. I ordered a soup and half sandwich. I was offered the soup in a bread bowl but didn't get it. Chicken Noodle soup was lukewarm and bland with no sign of any chunks of chicken. I ordered apple juice and was suprised when she handed me a kids juice box. The sandwich was ok, nothing special. 3.5 stars I've only been to 2 paneras including this one. My bf and I ordered the half a sandwich with the soup and half a sandwich with the salad. I really liked the Greek salad. The french onion soup, not as much. I've tasted better and probably would just stick to broccoli and cheese from Panera (I remember it was good, but that was a while ago). The multi-grain baguette was SO good. I would go back for this over and over. The turkey something sandwich I had was pretty good. The guy taking orders was having fun, the lady giving us our food was not. The seat we chose had bread crumbs sprinkled on it, but it wasn't sticky or anything so I guess that's ok. I find it funny that there are two Panera Bread shops in Natomas. Even funnier is the fact that this one just doesn't have the fun atmosphere the awesome employees bring to the other Panera location on Del Paso. This place has always been delicious to me but way too pricy. A salad shouldn't be 10 bucks if it only has a tiny bit of protein on it and barely satisfies your hunger. I ordered a full salad and a bowl not a cup bit a bowl of the French onion soup. The Fuji apple chicken salad was good minus the mushy soggy tomatoes they should have never served. If you yourself won't eat it as a server then you shouldn't put it on a plate. I would rather them appologize and say the tomatoes aren't good enough to serve and spare me the nasty texture and taste of the ones that were sprinkled throughout my salad. And now that I think about it my apple that I chose as much side was soft too, squishy actually so I had to go back and ask for them to swap it out. But I'm mainly disappointed about the fact that I paid upwards of 16 bucks for a salad some soup no drink and still could have eaten more before I felt full. read more

Minus 2 stars for poor service. My first time doing the "Rapid P-Up" order online thinking it would be quick and easy since I only have a 30min lunch break. I got there 2min later than my request time and didn't see my order on the shelves. I waited 5min to see if they might be a little behind, and still didn't come up. I finally asked the lady who was handing out orders from the counter. She spent the next 5min "questioning" me and wanted to see if I still have the website open. Why would I still have it open if it says your order is processed and a confirmation # was given? Who would have thought to stay online? I did screenshot the number though, and I tried showing it to her, but she keep asking me the same questions. Finally she decided to "look up" the confirmation #. Turns out my order WAS made, but someone else had grabbed it. Wow! Had she looked it up sooner, we would have known, wouldn't we?! And is it THAT easy to grab someone else's order and have free lunch for the day? Oh, how I love Panera Bread!!! I've had the pleasure of dining numerous times at the Douglas Blvd/Roseville, and the two in Natomas. I have found that they ALL have the same delicious oh so yummy cheddar broccoli soup to die for! The closest Panera - though I hear there is one now in Davis - is a 25 minute drive from our home, but sometimes, just need to drive it to have that soup! The sandwiches are yummy, tho' pricey, as is the soup for that matter, but it always hits the spot! On our way up to Lake Tahoe we stopped at this franchise location for a late lunch. First of all both restrooms were closed - for washing your hands you had to go behind the counter - OK so far so good. Ordered the food with no problem and the food was ready within minutes. The spoons delivered with the food had not been cleaned and were dirty. With a complain to the manager we got replacement food and silver ware. The real surprise came after the meal - since the guest restrooms are still closed, we had been asked to use the staff restroom. OH BOY - not sure when this area saw the last time a real clean but this was disgusting. If the rest of the place is kept in the same condition I suggest to close down and do a complete overhaul.
