I bought a box of cookies for an onsite lunch with family. More than half the bakery items were left over when I took them out after lunch. We stopped and took photos and when I got home I realized my box of goodies was left abandoned outside!! I called the bakery hoping against hope that the box was still there. And it was!! The selection of food and general quality is about the same as any other Panera location. In general, this location doesn't feel as well-kept as some other ones. That is, the kiosks aren't always working, the furniture isn't as neatly arranged all the time, and I feel that tables could be wiped down more often. This doesn't prevent me from visiting this spot, but there are other Panera locations I'd choose to spend more time at. read more

Their staff is friendly and welcoming, their coffee bar is always fully stocked (even later in the evening when other places shut theirs down an hour + before closing) , their dining area and restrooms are always clean and well stocked. I have been to over 100 Panera locations across the USA and had the worst experience of any of them here at the Scahumburg location by woodfield. I walked in the door and the cashier clearly targeted me. She didn't have a name tag on so i don't know her name but shes about 50 years old, blonde, and heavy. she kept screaming from the counter for my rewards number for my refill. I said I will go to the ipad because I didn't want to talk to her. she was screaming I'll do it here. I went to the ipad and did it anyway which clearly got under her skin and she then went back to the kitchen to make sure I DID NOT get a new cup because I still had my old cup. This was the most unprofessional service I have ever had not only any Panera but any restaurant. I walked in and did not even go to the counter so it wasn't like I was talking to her or even interacting with her. She went way out of her way to make a scene and then when she didn't get what she wanted me coming to the counter, she went to he kitchen to make sure I did not get a new cup. I was with a very elderly man who placed order for (2) people. After cleaning off a table by the window near the pick-up counter, we waited for order to be called. About 20 minutes went by, we saw no tray at counter, just several people picking up "take-out" orders in brown bags. Suddenly girl behind pick-up counter called out a name and said the order was ready but it was BAGGED. Nobody had the decency of advising him when he placed the order that it would be bagged for take-out and NOT served on a tray with proper utensils. Girl at counter (Manager on Duty) said she couldn't train somebody, prepare food and have staff clean-up by 9:00pm so she decided to bag all orders for take-out. Kid at the register was most likely new and I can certainly extend some grace to him, but he clearly needed more training. Line was to the door fast. They called our name, 2 parts of our order were missing. They got them for us and we sat to eat. I bit into my apple and it was rotten. Nasty. Wife was given a fork so dirty, I may have gotten more to eat off it than the tiny sandwich I was served. Never had a "whole" sandwich at Panera that small before. Half the drinks were empty, so I asked if they could fill my cup with tea from the drive through one. They said no and they would refill the dining room one. Good ole classic Panera! I wanna start out by saying compared to all the other Paneras in the area, this one definitely is the best one! It's a newer location so it's very updated and spacious. I came on a Sunday morning and it was poppin'! It was clean and had a lotttt of tables, lounge areas, and even bar-like seating for people that wanna be alone or work while they eat. Service here was really great and everything came out fast! I waited for around 8 minutes maybe after I ordered. I got the Mediterranean bowl with chicken and it was yummy! It came with quinoa, cucumbers, tomatoes, feta, olives, arugula, hummus, Greek yogurt, and lemon tahini dressing, plus I added chicken for an extra cost. I love that they have bowls now! The driver (David) that deliverers my food decided to leave himself a tip. I was in a rush and left my tip line blank. No slash, no zero, no grand total. I signed the bottom line and walked off with my food. I didn't leave a tip since it was $3 already added which he already gets. Fast forward to yesterday when I check my bank account and notice the total amount changed from $21.14 to $23.14. I called this morning and spoke to manager Karen or Kerrigan. After explaining to her the situation, she advises me she will look into the matter. After a few hours, she calls me back saying I left a two-dollar tip. *Slaps forehead* didn't I tell you I left the lines blank and he filled it in? She never apologizes or seeks to come up with a solution. I believe she thought I was having buyers remorse. This was not the case. I had no intention on paying $23 for just a soup and salad. I'm aware he gets $3 for just delivering the food. I wouldn't leave a $5 tip for him having to drive .05 miles on a sunny day. I have her email me the receipt and it is not my handwriting (of course). It's only a few bucks but this is credit card fraud. I call corporate to have them address the matter. I spoke to Cody and Matthew who empathize with me and unlike Karen, apologizes. Supervisor Matthew was professional and kind and he was able to address my concerns. I know, it's only a $2 difference, but if David does this enough, he can potentially rip off a lot of people. I have warned my company about this Panera location. This was my company that paid so the totals have to be accurate. And (for those who don't know) I get a allowance on how much I can spend in a day. Don't be a fool like me: 1. The authorization occurs immediately. It can take 2-5 days for the payment to be successfully taken from your account (with tip) verify the totals are accurate. 2. Never leave the first two lines blank. (I know better and still did this) always put a slash, cash, or some indication of the amount. 3.
