I love Panera, but this location was pretty dirty when we were there. We were there mid-afternoon and it really wasn't that crowded. It is by Woodfield Mall, so they may get a lot of traffic here, but they really didn't do a good job cleaning. Almost every table had something on it, whether it was food or dishes.... even some chairs were filthy. Doesn't mean I wouldn't go back, but hopefully they'll make a better effort. read more

Panera (not just this location) has really made a huge mistake with their new fully automated ordering system. I just ordered a muffin and sat 10 minutes waiting for it while their kitchen prepared all the full drive thru customers. Frustrating when you can see an employee behind the counter that can just reach over 1 foot , toss it in a bag, and hand it to you. Yet you have to wait for kitchen "prep". Not happy with this Panera. We often went to the one on Golf Rd by By Buy Baby until the pandemic hit. It closed and this new one opened. Not nearly as good service or friendly help. The last 3 times I have gone there is no one at the register have to wait 2-3 minutes even though there are associates around. Then if I try to pay in cash they tell me they have no change. NONE!! How can you not have coins in the register. Then I go to get my coffee and there is none except caffeine free and maybe Hazelnut. Have I wait another 5-10 minutes until it is brought out. The worst part is that it is at 10am!! After the morning rush. Bring back the one on Golf Rd!!! The associates were great and it was well managed. read more

IS BACON A NEW VEGETABLE??? Many times I have my order not accurately prepared at Panera on Meecham in Schaumburg. . Never complained until today. Ordered Mediterranean veggie sandwich, toasted, added avocado. Got it nice and toasty with BACON in it!!! Returned it to the manager. She apologized and ask me if she can make me another one? What, of course yeah, I paid $10 for it. When I opened the 2nd sandwich, it was not toasted, had NO avocado and I was given chips, not apple as a side. So, the manager, obviously did not make the sandwich (is what I would have done as a manager) or did not supervised whoever made the second order. Pretty standard Panera location. Some days are better than other when it comes to service, wait time, and ingredients. But all of the staff is always consistently friendly and nice, especially Brian. My favorite sandwiches are the chicken salad, tuna salad, and frontega chicken panini. Also so happy they brought back the asian chicken salad finally! read more

Very frustrating experience, poor quality food, we waited 40 minutes and most of the food was cold and multiple items were missing so one of our party didn't get to eat at all. :( we did not have time to wait for a new order. This was my first time dining at this Panera location and I could not be more pleased. I walked in and was immediately greeted with friendly smiles. I asked many questions and they were answered with extreme knowledge and speed. Jason took my order and he was kind and genuine throughout. Gabby was also working and she answered all of my questions and made me feel happy, safe, and comfortable in the restaurant. It was amazing to see Enrique work on all of the baked goods for the store. Our table was wiped to perfection before we sat down and the overall store was kept to a spotless standard. As I ate my chicken noodle soup I looked around and saw all the employees working hard at tasks instead instead of slacking off as I notice most employees do these days. My soup was hot and my chips were delicious. I loved my experience at this Panera and I will definitely be back! read more

This location is awful. Terrible customer service. No efficiency whatsoever. If you can't have the lobby open, at least have it open for online orders. The fact that I have to wait 30 minutes to get a pickup order through the drive through because you're too lazy to bring the food the door is outrageous. Get it together or close down. Stupid guy in drive thru couldn't get my rewards number right. His name is Jose and pretty much the rudest employee I ever encountered. Filthy dirty bathroom. The floor needs to be scrubbed. I mean seriously scrubbed. I hung my bottom over the toilet to pee. The sink was grimy and so was the mirror. I am not sure what the heck is happening with this store but they cannot seem to get an order right. I order about 5 times a month when I have students in and there is ALWAYS something wrong. I always have 1 or 2 people watching the others eat lunch. I seriously called the store 10 times and it just rang. Called corporate and got the old schtick, "I'm sorry, here's a gift card to make up for it." Nope, I want my money back, which will take 30 days. Today was the last straw for me. The 1st time I came to this location I was excited. There's a drive through, very nicely decorated. I come here once a week I will be going to the other location from now on. They forgot half my order. Then when they gave it to me it was wrong. I left and when I opened the second half of my order it was completely wrong. Worst part: employee cooking the food didn't even have his nose covered with the mask ! May as well just take it off ! I called to complain. This is a pandemic and that is a health code violation. Hadn't been to Panara in years. Went here for lunch. We got a couple classic turkey sandwiches, a steak and cheese panini, salad, and tomato soup. Turkey sandwiches were good. Soup was ok. Steak and cheese panini was bad. Very little filling in the panini, and, very little flavor. For sure don't get this panini! Overall, not horrible, but, not good. 2 stars. This location is great, but is on the smaller side compared to other Panera Breads I've been to. The one thing that bothered me was how it wasn't very clean. I had some time to spare and came by to read and drink coffee, but I couldn't help but notice cobwebs and spiderwebs hanging from the windows. The tables and chairs had crumbs all over them too. Recently I have had two different Panera salads that were meh at best. Not impressed, as it seems that the salads did not have much of anything tasty in them. Can't possibly go wrong with any menu item at Panera. Lately I've been more inclined to be more adventurous, and stay away from the usual, known, safe-choices with my food selections, so I have been trying new things. I almost always go with the pick two, and go with half a Fontega Chicken panini and a bowl of Broccoli cheddar soup. This afternoon I stuck with the pick two, except I selected the Strawberry Poppyseed Salad, with Chicken, and a half a Chipotle Chicken Panini, with a side of an apple, and their Green Tea. The salad was awesome! Filled with strawberries and fruit, and plenty of chicken, and a great portion I may add! The panini, was....just okay. A lot more calories than my usual Fontega, and it was just a plain, "okay". If it's going to cost me an extra mile or two to run off calories, it better be worth it! But....it wasn't. I probably will not be getting it again. On the plus side, I think I'll go with a full salad next time and stick with the Strawberry Poppyseed, with Chicken! Pics to follow. read more

No, no and NO to this location! What really irks my nerves is when directions are not followed, especially when it comes to food! I ordered a kale salad with no dressing, extra chopped tomatoes, extra Parmesan cheese and cucumbers. What's so hard about that?! Obviously it was hard for he person that made the salad. I got wedge tomatoes, NOT chopped, I got dressing when I didn't want any and I didn't get the extra Parmesan cheese I asked for! I had to end up going to the store for the extra Parmesan cheese. I like Panera Bread's iced coffee best ! Not cold brew coffee, just iced coffee. More than Starbucks or Dunkin Donut. Their iced coffee is clear and easy to drink. Other coffee shop's iced coffee or cold brew is bitter. read more

I went here based on all the reviews- I will not go again. By far one of the worst sandwich places I've ever been to. The turkey was STILL frozen inside the panini- thats exactly what your looking for in a fresh and toasty sandwich, the cheese was greasy the bread was soggy and limp- I wish I could throw up and empty out my stomache. My fav chain sandwich place in Arizona is Wildflower Bread Company- its tasty and pretty reliable and the bread there would murder Panera's lame attempt.
