Cafe Zupas is always a great fast casual food spot. I've come to the Schaumburg location many of times for a quick, healthier lunch when running errands. Their menu has rotating/seasonal items added often but classic staples that you will always see. You can get a single selection or a Try 2 Combo which lets you mix and match the salad, sandwich, and soup options. The Combos also come with a dinner roll and chocolate dipped strawberry. This visit my husband and I shared our meal. We got a Try 2 Combo where I ate the Avocado Caesar Salad and dinner roll while he ate the Turkey Bacon Avocado Sandwich and Strawberry. The meal is $14 but is easy to share or fill you up independently. Some of my other favorites are the Tomato Basil Soup with Ultimate Grilled Cheese and my husband often gets the Mangoberry Salad. Parking can be a bit tough as they share a parking lot with Trader Joes. Tip: All locations are closed on Sundays! read more

Long line during lunch, but it moved pretty quickly. Haven't been here in a while and it seems pretty updated with a different menu than I remember. I got the Hot Honey Brisket Sandwich to go, which came with a chocolate-dipped strawberry, and a regular soft drink on the side. The sandwich was nice and warm, and all the ingredients went well together. The brisket was pretty good, but I couldn't really taste much of the hot honey. Overall, it was still a good sandwich and I'd get it again. Next time I'd like to try their Burger Bowl since it's new on the menu. read more

Been a few times and liked a lot. Today, not so much. Ordered a honey bacon club and there were 2 paper thin slices of ham,one slice of tomato, one or two paper thin turkey slices and absolutely no bacon. Thought I goofed so looked at picture on website and WOW ---- not even close! Picture had real bacon, thick cut roasted turkey,multiple sliced tomato and cheese. Girlfriend ordered soup/ sandwich combo and got whole sandwich and charged for it---- no big deal, took home leftovers. Only one strawberry as I thought one came with each sandwich but not a really big deal. If I'm correct that's 3 errors on a single order. Nice guys but public school grads? I was on the way to O'Hare airport in Chicago and wanted a healthy alternative to eat before I hopped on a plane so of course I pull up Yelp and I search. Café Zupas came up and I thought wow she looks interesting especially since everything was made fresh by hand... I wish I had taken pictures before I started to dig in but I was so hungry. I forgot to do that so here's the pictures that I do have... JC was extremely helpful super patient being that we never been there before there's kind of a learning curve... And his service was impeccable. The whole restaurant was extremely clean bathrooms clean, and the place was packed. That's how you know you got a good spot and being in the Midwest there needs to be a lot more healthier options available and this is a great one. I've been going here for a while and I've found that about every other time I order something's missing. They've forgotten to add chicken, hummus, extra ranch, etc. A reason I don't tip, my tip goes to the money I spend on adding additional toppings or dressings and not get them. Quick, clean, healthy, and affordable. This place stresses fresh ingredients and house-made recipes, and the food tastes great. My favorite is the lobster bisque soup, which I could probably eat forever. I also love the house-made juice concoctions, which are completely composed of fruit, honey, and other natural ingredients. And they taste as sweet as any soda. Finally, and most importantly, the management and staff here are friendly and hard-working, and they take cleanliness seriously. After I posted this, the owners responded with a thank you for the five stars review comment, what a joke they are . Not a single speck of pepper in the entire restaurant! I went to pick up a salad this evening and I planned to eat it there. I saw no pepper in the common area where they store or on anyone's table it so I went to the register and asked for some. They informed me they do not have any pepper at all even the little carryout pouches! I find the shocking for an establishment that primarily serve salads and soups. The team that operates this literally watch it go from seven or eight pepper shakers down to zero and then eventually people complaining about it and still no one took the initiative to even go across the parking lot to Trader Joe's 100 yards away and get pepper for the customers Very very poor Management and no initiative by the team that was there. You should stop telling your customers you don't have pepper so they are SOL and just go get some! I ended up going home to eat. My parents often grab lunch to go from this spot so naturally when I'm in town they suggest it to me. It's really very reasonable priced for tasty soups and sandwiches. It's super convenient to order as you can place it online and simply go inside to pick it up from a shelf. The soup and sandwich seems to be a good deal where you get a full cup of soup with a piece of bread and full sandwich. They also throw in a chocolate covered strawberry for dessert. GrubHub left me hanging and cancelled my order without any meaningful explanation. Since I was still hungry and wanted dinner, I called the store directly. Boy am I glad I did! The manager took my call and commiserated with me a bit and suggested that I place my order directly with them via their website. Since I am just across the parking lot and can't leave my location (I was running out of time for my lunch), he graciously offered to run my order to me personally. JC showed up a matter of minutes later with my extremely tasty food and a smile!. I love their Lobster Bisque soup and mine was still nice and hot. Bonus... While on the website, I registered for the Cafe Zupas loyalty program and got a Free beverage! And, even though I have a discount on GH from my Amazon Prime account, my bill was nearly $8 cheaper! Overall, my experience today with Cafe Zupas Schaumburg has been stellar and I'll be ordering from them (directly, no more GrubHub) frequently and encouraging my coworkers and clients to do the same. This was my very first time at Cafe Zupas! Located in the hub of various stores near Woodfield Mall, Cafe Zupas is very spacious, fast casual restaurant with great parking. They have a plentiful menu that includes salads, sandwiches, bowls, and more! Truly a perfect lunch spot. I got the garden protein bowl which comes with sherry vinaigrette. It was definitely good but nothing crazy. I wished they added a little more avocado and dressing! My friends who have been coming here for years liked their meals, but stated that it used to be better. Every meal comes with a complimentary bread roll and chocolate covered strawberry which I thought was a nice touch! The staff was super friendly, as well. The food here was good but nothing significant or something I'd recommend to others. The place itself was way bigger than I thought and clean, and the employees were great. This is definitely a step above Panara. The soup, salad and sandwich options are plentiful and don't get me started on the lovely drink options and craveable desert case. I have ordered at the restaurant once and ordered online a second time. Night and day experiences. When I ordered at the restaurant the food was brought out quickly and efficiently. When I ordered online, the food came out 20 minutes after the specified time it was supposed to be ready by. The service was so so. I felt like they kind of brushed off bringing out the order so late and didn't really engage as I was waiting for my pick up. The restaurant at the later hour wasn't super clean either so that was a bit of a downer in my experience waiting for my food. The food overall here is unique and flavorful, albeit very salty so I would be careful if you have any sodium restrictions on certain items or just don't love salt. The Chocolate covered strawberries they include are perfect just a cute unique touch and very fresh. I would definitely keep this location in mind as more of a fast casual lunch stop and avoid visiting around dinner time when things are wrapping up. read more

I just experienced kindness and grace at this place that blew me away. El and Alex helped me out in an amazing when I found myself in a really embarrassing situation. I ordered my food and then was mortified when I pulled out my wallet, to realize I had left my credit card at home. I tried an old card but it didn't work. So I told El, who had rung up my order, I have no way of paying for this. As I explained, I felt my face flush with embarrassment. My Brisket Grilled Cheese was tasted great with good supply of beef, but for the price, I expected something larger. The Chipotle Salad is very tasty with wonderful colors and textures. Cafe zupas is always a standard regardless of location. This was the first time at this location and my experience is what I expected from here. We ordered a couple of kids meals and also a try 2 combo which consisted of the pastrami melt and clay chowder. The kids meal we got a grilled cheese with a lobster bisque soup and also the mac and cheese with the mushroom soup. Both came with a drink of choice- we did fountain, because the juices are so good there as well as a chocolate covered strawberry. The try 2 combo also came with a French bread piece and a chocolate covered strawberry. The French bread here is quite good. The pastrami melt was tasty, not that much meat so overall a smaller sandwich for what one might expect for a pastrami sandwich. The soup portion is pretty good for a half portion. Really like the kids menu choices, they get some variety and things they really enjoy like soup, mac n cheese and grilled cheese. I'm really impressed with their soups, the sandwiches less so due to the smaller size on the sandwich. Mushroom soup is heavy heavy on the mushroom flavor. A must try! Clam chowder was good as well, just prefer a bit chunkier. The pastrami melt - it was quite tasty with a nice vinegry peppers, just wish it was larger. read more
