We were traveling to Missouri and we needed something to eat when we were going to the airport and we saw Panera bread. Panera is one of our favorite places to go in San Diego where we live and they have consistent quality no matter where you are. My husband ordered his always usual green goddess chicken salad with a piece of bread and I ordered my latest favorites which are the Baja bowls and the Mediterranean bowls you can get them with or without chicken. I opted for the Mediterranean bowl today without chicken because I wanted the hummus and all the yummy veggies and healthy greens rice and quinoa and cucumbers and it was delicious. It was just the right thing to have before we boarded our flight and I'm so glad we stopped at Panera. They had great service friendly employees and it was nice and quiet inside the restaurant and plenty of seating with ample lighting. Here is a great place to just hang out and read and study and enjoy your food and they have great drinks too And plenty of baked goods to tempt you.

    Crumbs on every table

I couldn't believe how dirty this panera was, especially during a pandemic. Trays littered most every vacant table, and they were never picked up during my stay the other tables that were available were full of crumbs and trash. They also only brought one item off our ticket and thought the rest had been delivered. I had to wait a while more for a cold bagel. It wasn't busy today, so I'm not sure how they kept dropping the ball. Very disappointed.

We have gone to different Panera's in the past. The staff was very helpful and service was fast and good. I am not sure why others had a problem here. It was a good visit at the supper hour on a Saturday night. Would recommend their newest flatbread pizzas

    Ask for a Green Smoothie

Ok Panera Bread! What in the world is this mess. Visited on March 10th at 11:55am. Does this look like a green smoothie to you?? I asked for a green smoothie using the super fruit base. Not only does it look absolutely gross it smells like garbage. I could tell the staff had a complete attitude with having to make a slight change to how they normally make their smoothies, so sorry I asked. Just say no when people ask for something different, instead of mixing up some crap and trying to be funny. This is truly not funny to me. $6 for something had to put in the trash can.

Breakfast egg Sandwich. Smaller than normal serving. Think they put a half egg. I showed staff. Didn't seem to care or offer to redo.

My breakfast egg sandwich was much smaller than usual. Usually have a x-large egg. This time I think was xx-small. I opened up sandwich and showed staff Person didn't care or offer to replace. For &4.89, needs improvement.

Tomato basil soup in sourdough bread bowl? Yes please!!!

Great food! Good service. Clean restaurant. If you get their soup, you have to get it in their sourdough bread bowl. It's amazing!!!!! Their summer corn chowder is so good! Their salads are good. Cookies decent. Bagels so so good. Try their Asiago bagel, or cinnamon crunch bagel. Their tuna sandwiches are really good too. And we always get a "large" loaf of sour dough bread to take home.

As you can see from the pink bread, it was soaked with pickled onion juice!

My second trip to Springfield, Mo for work. This little area (literally this 1/4 mile of street)…read morehas some amazing restaurants! Unknowingly, I started "scrolling" to find a place to eat and was sucked in by pics of the food and ambiance! So I mapped directions to Cafe Cusco only to find it was next to another great restaurant I had been to during my last trip. Walked in and the hostess, with a welcoming greeting and smile directed my single person party to a four top. Turns out she ended up also being my server and bartender!!! Lilly was her name and she was on top of it all. I believe there was at least one other server. I shied away from apps as I was not sure about the serving sizes as I was not famished... I started with a Pisco Sour that Lilly recommended and she also recommended the Lomo Saltado for an entree. I chose to also have the Ginger Caipirinha. For dessert I had the Quinoa Pudding and a cup of coffee. Beverages were well balanced with lime tartness, great cinnamon presence and over all flavor was refreshing! The Lomo Saltado was very flavorful- def get your salt intake for the day, but it works so well! There was a house hot sauce at each table. I taste tested the hot sauce and decided to liberally add to the dish! A symphony of flavors! The slices of tomato in that Saltado sauce was ... mmmmmmmmm GOOD!! Naturally the tenderloin was packed with Saltado flavor too! I ordered up the Ginger Caipirinha (which did not disappoint either!). Both beverages stand on their own merits and I cannot choose which was better... maybe the sour?? So... then there was dessert... I cannot recall the last time I ordered dessert... quinoa pudding???? I mean... I like quinoa... but do I ever go out of my way to eat it?? No... but add some sweet coconut cream, cinnamon and... wait for it... Black cherry COMPOTE?!?????!!!! Damn! Am I glad I got that dessert! You MUST save room for this! Such a great amalgamation of flavor and textures! Cheers Cafe Cusco!! You've got a great gem here for great prices to boot! Lilly was very busy, what may have lacked in some attentiveness (due to how busy it was) she made up for in her awesome personality, pleasant disposition and great suggestions! Chillin' in haute Springfield?? Check this place out! Cheers!

You wait for the places that matter. Not the ones that open with a whisper and a bland social media…read morecampaign. The ones that take their time. Hong Yen teased us since New Year's. A promise of something real, something worth the patience. And when they finally opened..a soft launch, no fanfare; you better believe I was in that parking lot shared with the Food4Less, off Battlefield and Campbell. Rainy day, cold weather in the summer. Surprisingly the perfect combination to enter this newly renovated addition to the shopping center. Their old location is gone. What stands in its place? Something else entirely. Three to four times the size. Four distinct sections. Booths, circle tables, rectangle tables, even a bar with stools. Seating at this hour is self-managed: a small act of trust that tells you everything about the warm chaos of a family-run operation still finding its rhythm. But the bones are solid. The vibe is an unexpected comfort. Soft piano drifts through the air. The lighting is warm, upgraded, inviting. Faux vines trail from corners, faux bamboo stands tall, a video screen plays peaceful landscapes of Vietnam. Paper lanterns hang alongside actual glass chandeliers. Golden fish with kanji watch over the room. It's a total upgrade from the old spot. This isn't just a restaurant moving locations. This is a statement of intention. We ordered. My fiancée went with the Pho Thai: that glorious, aromatic bowl of rice noodles in a broth that tastes like it's been whispering to itself for hours. Rich, savory, soul-warming. I ordered the Bún bò huê but asked them to swap the standard noodles for vermicelli. A small tweak. The kitchen didn't blink. The broth arrived dark, complex, spicy. The Central Vietnamese cousin to pho that doesn't get nearly enough love in this country. It had heat. It had depth. It had backbone. Our kid got a simple side of noodles. Needless to say, everyone finished their food. Every bowl scraped clean. That's the best review you can give a place. Spring rolls? Fresh. Generous. Bigger than usual, stuffed with care. The service? Quick, friendly, attentive, even while short-staffed. That's not easy. That's experience. Hong Yen is a gem. A real one. Great prices, genuine hospitality, a family atmosphere that welcomes strangers and treats them like regulars. People drive hours for this. Now I understand why. Worth the wait? Absolutely.

It's hard to find a good Pad Thai here in Springfield and sadly that continues. The Pad Thai I ordered was nothing more then stir fried noodles that tasted like dirty grease.
