I like Panera, decent food and beverage for a reasonable price. Nice place to eat and do a little work. I mostly go here for coffee, but I like their lunch options. This location is one of few that has a drive-thru options. Like other Panera location, they have a counter upfront with bake good and bagels. And a row of fresh coffee off to the side. Like other Panera locations, there a many places to sit and usually small groups of diverse people. We order coffee and sat down, half listening to the conversation and watching the cleaning team use the same rag on all the tables in the place, just flipping over rag over and over. read more

Placed a delivery order, ALL of my pastries were missing from the order. Total cost was over $45. Spent almost 30 minutes on the phone with the "manager" and then the general manager and was told I can get either a cookie or a you pick two for my trouble. Finally after 30 minutes the General Manager agreed to replace my order. Based on this alone, I might consider to order from them again and this is the ONLY reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 2! The past 2 times we used the drive-thru, they forgot our sides entirely. Today was another example, asked for chips and thankfully we checked our order before driving away. This was always my go to Panera, not any more. The manager is no where to be found and the store was being run by teenagers. This is inappropriate because they don't know what to do. I was standing in line and the line was all the way to the door with ONE person running the register. I asked her to get help and no one came to aid her. We stayed and ate dinner, I watched the line it was constantly to the door with one cashier. Some Workers behind the counter in the kitchen area, could have helped but no one did. Clearly not everyone was busy as several workers were talking to each other and not working. I spent 9 minutes in line which is crazy. I was 2nd in line. This store is clearly not run well at all. You can't expect teenagers to run a restaurant without a responsible adult in charge and monitoring the functions of the restaurant. This is how businesses fail. I won't return read more

Do Not place orders for pick up and expect your order to be complete. I order on 11/21 @1:58 PM for pick up on 11/23 @ 9:30 AM. Ordered two loafs of cinnamon raisin swirl and received one. panera would only refunded me for one loaf and not the hole order. I told them I need two loaf for a big family breakfast and I don't need just one. they refused to give me any customer satisfaction other than just go pound loaf. read more

Panera is a great spot! Their food is great quality and I enjoy the atmosphere. This location in particular though has honestly some of the worst communication or understanding between employees though. On several occasions I have order sandwiches made in a specific way due to preference and not once have they been made the right way. I keep giving it a chance because it's located 3 'unites from my business, but there's no chance in hell im going back to this location! I usually settle for food and don't complain but today was the last straw. I ordered a BLT sandwich and specifically asked for the sandwich to be pressed on their grill with cheese to make it nice and warm. Well they made sure to didn't do any of it while empires just talked between themselves and discussed how people order different breads and what they prefer instead. I feel like there should be some sort of training on how to communicate between the person who takes the order and the kitchen so everyone knows what the costumer orders. Never going back! read more

Panera is Panera. If you are familiar with Panera, this one is just like every other one out there. If you aren't familiar with Panera, they are a bakery-cafe with a cozy, comfortable envoirnment, free wi-fi, and great food. While they may be a tad overpriced, they are still an overall good value. Panera has the best salads you can find at a "Food-Fast" type establishment, in fact, they're salads are phenomenal. Both they're soups and they're sandwiches are also phenomenal. During peak times (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) the line can go out the door, so come prepared for a bit of a wait! This particular Panera has really improved in time, and the new manager they have there is excellent. read more

I'm rating based on delivery. I've ordered a handful of times from this location. There's two delivery drivers. The male one is amazing! He's so friendly and fast. The woman, Kara, on the other hand... If you see she is delivering your food, do yourself a favor and cancel your order. She is rude and complains every time she delivers. Complains about snow on the ground... Complains about the location of your apartment building... Complains she needs to ring a buzzer at your building... Complains she had a hard time finding a parking spot. The second you say hello to her the complaining starts and won't stop until she leaves. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the delivery fee and just go in store to pick it up. If a customer is paying a delivery fee, just drop the food off and go. Especially when they've literally said nothing other than "hey how are you" to you. read more

Have gone here for many years and love it but am in here right now and it's disgusting! Floors have pop spilled all over them and all they did was put a caution sign up. Even though there are about 6 staff standing around in a circle on their phones talking who could be cleaning. They also told me they were out of baguettes and yet the person who order behind me had one. And my sandwich had frozen cheese on it. Pretty disappointed. read more

The portions have continually shrunk over the years. I have been a loyal customer over the years and for $7 the salad was tiny! I just came back and watched several people receive a free Bagel, I inquired and was told only certain people get one. I am scratching my head as to why? I eat there weekly, due to quality even though I am unhappy with the portion size. But now I am being told "some customers" can get a free bagel daily and I am not one of them! Wow, not cool Panera. I visit the Waterford, MI restaurant quite often. Staff is always courteous and friendly, however, I would like to give a HUGE shout out to Kayla. Yesterday I was in the restaurant for about 45 minutes after the lunch rush. Kayla was not only fantastic about providing great service but while I sat eating I watched Kayla thoroughly disinfect the dining tables and chairs, garbage bins, inside and outside door handles, etc. and when she was done Kayla brushed away crumbs from pastry display case, restocked the pastries, and rotated and restocked the bagel case. It was great seeing Kayla take pride in her job and I felt at ease knowing that Kayla and other staff members take great care in keeping the restaurant safe for their customers during Covid. read more

I appreciate the free wi-fi, outside seating at this location (albeit with a parking lot view), and decent coffee and food options that are a little different, fresher, and healthier than many other places. However, the customer service vibe while ordering has been hit or miss for me. Some people here should be in the back making food and not dealing with the public. read more

The food is very good however they apparently have changed their strategy on how they order and/or make their food as we have encountered MANY out of stock items over the last 4 or 5 months. We usually order once a week for dinner. There have been multiple incidences of key ingredients like ham or tomatoes that are out of stock to prevent them from making a sandwich without having to customize it to include some other meat and vegetable. I have also heard this is a common problem at other Panera's as of late. From what I can tell in conversation with store management and customer care corporate decisions are impacting local managers ability to keep food in stock. Not a good sign that customer satisfaction takes a backseat. If you want most choices available suggest you order very early. read more

I used the curbside service 3 times now. Second time took 20 minutes to get my food. After I clicked the "I'm Here" on the app. The third time I arrived 15 mins late and still waited an additional 20 mins. I got my food nearly an hour after I ordered it. When I got home, roughly a 15 min drive, an item was missing from my order. I think I'll pass on this location. read more

My wife ordered a Panera delivery and was notified that the order was delivered, but it was not. When we called to explain the mix up (delivery was not sent to a neighbor, we asked) they said they would re-deliver the order. That was an hour ago and still no delivery. Called a 2nd time to get an update on the order and was transferred to 2 different associates and was told the driver is on the way. I absolutely love Panera and I will select it over any other place in a heartbeat. After visiting the Panera in Waterford, MI on Highland Rd, yesterday, I was extremely disappointed. I placed my order online for rapid pickup. I ordered the Roasted Turkey Apple and Cheddar sandwich (3). I customize each sandwich by removing the walnut cranberry bread and substituting it with focaccia. I asked that one sandwich have the apple slaw on the side and not on the sandwich. With online orders, the payment is rendered when order is placed. I drove 5 extra miles to this location because I've had bad past experiences with the location 2 miles away from my residence. I arrive at the Waterford location and retrieve my order. I've learned to check my order before leaving the store. I look through the bag and ALL of my sandwiches have been prepared with the salt and pepper focaccia, the apple slaw is on every sandwich, including the one I specified, no slaw. I talk to the preparers and was advised that they ran out of regular focaccia, so they gave me salt and pepper focaccia. I commented that their website did not say they were out of regular focaccia like it said they were out of asiago focaccia, which I originally wanted. I asked if there was a way to notify customers of the unavailability and was told "I mean we could've called", with a shrug. Because I was getting no where with them I said okay and walked away. I got to the front of the cafe and asked for a manager. The manager was standing there and I explained the situation to him. He listened but didn't seemed too concerned that as a customer I ordered and paid for what I wanted and was given what they wanted me to have. He said he would talk to them about it. Really? I strongly doubt it. He did offer to remake the sandwiches but the issue is they didn't have any of the bread I prefer. The first issue I have is the lack of customer service. Yes, they could've called me. What if I had issues with salt and or pepper, or allergies for that matter, substituting flavor could have caused issues. The fact I already paid for my food and them dismissing the issue is unacceptable. Why place an order when they are going to serve you what they want you to have. Next time I order out and they ask what can I prepare for you, I'll say surprise me. Because that's what happens. Getting home to eat the $40 + meals ordered for 3, the sandwiches were tasteless, the focaccia salt and pepper bread was super thick, thicker than the regular focaccia, it was square shaped, and the apple slaw was scarce. The sandwich didn't have its usually flavor that tasted like a $10 sandwich. I have never been so disappointed in a meal and service in a very long time. There are many places I pass before getting to this location that I could've pulled up any where else. They may not care, and that is perfectly fine with me, but they have lost my business. i really wanna like this place because it's so close to my house and i love panera but once again-- the portions are the stingiest and smallest, the people making the salads act like they have stock in the place~ which they might have but if so wouldn't they want their customers to feel their food is a good value? So I went to the Panera Bread out in Auburn Hills for the very first time ever going to Panera and it was absolutely amazing. So I decided to try the Panera in Waterford because that's where I was at a time and I ordered a four cheese grilled cheese sandwich and I got something with bacon and tomatoes all over it. I do not like tomatoes so of course it was a waste of money because it was gross and I was already about 20 mins away before I noticed and also I noticed right away a really really long black hair in my soup and my hair is red. I don't usually do negative feed back unless it was bad and I think this was bad I spent almost $9 here on food I couldn't eat I hope they pay more attention next time read more

I finally gave in to my daughters love of Penara's Cheddar Broccoli Soup and went inside the restaurant and ordered her beloved soup and decided what I would try. Thanks to Shelly, many times over, for her patience and pointers in my choices. I loved my Chicken Chipotle Avocado Panini, Turkey Bacon Avocado Sandwich and I liked the Chipotle Chicken Soup and the Kitchen Sink Cookie was delicious and almoat as big as my sink!! I ordered online and did the rapid pick up and it was ready when I got there, but my order was messed up. I paid an extra dollar and some cents for them to cut and cream cheese my bagel and it wasnt cut, and they were hard as rocks, I got two bagels and it was a struggle to eat both of them because of how hard they were, highly unsatisfied. read more

I so want to love this place but, how happy you are going to be with your order depends on who is making it. There is no consistency whatsoever. The Panera website states the Iced Café Latte should be 20 oz. however, I often receive it it in a 12 oz. cup instead! And the 'You pick 2' half sandw is often made using the tiny end piece of the bread, with very little filling, smaller than would satisfy a child. Staff are like zombies, but the food if fair, just as any Panara. Most tables are filthy, and it isn't busy, so they should be clean.

We came in with a group of 8 kids and were very impressed with the service. The person behind the counter was not phased by our large order. I have always come to this panera without a problem but today i had a horrible experience. I ordered a small mac and large mac and the large mac was fine but the small mac was like soup with chewy shells. we asked for a new mac and the second one was the exact same!! the large mac tasted completely different as the cheese was not soupy and the noodles were fully cooked. then, when we ask the guy who took our order for a new mac, he was super nice about it but as we watched him go back to the kitchen area and ask them to make a new one, the "cooks" began yelling at him and made a huge deal out of it. i then saw a lady saying rude things to same guy who had taken our order saying things like "wait for you buddy to get here" "this is a business and i can't watch you the whole time your working" as i watched i felt as though this was discrimination against this guy and it made me uncomfortable. very disappointed read more
