I have the sip club so I come by regularly for drinks. The store wasn't full. Today I ordered a pumpkin muffin and a hot tea from the kiosk. The employee said hello to me as she walked out from the back, and asked if she could take my order. I said I placed my order at the kiosk. I was told in not the nicest mood to go to the back of the store. I did. Everyone back there was friendly. Made my hot tea and sat at a booth. The table was wobbling all over the place. The lightbulb in the sconce above my head was out, along with a few others around the store. The wall by me was dirty. I don't think the employees here are very happy, and it could be cleaner, but I'll keep coming back since it's an easy drink stop after Costco. The tea is consistent and the pumpkin muffin was moist and tasty, but it would be nice if someone put a little more care into this location. read more

I went here to grab a salad to go while the rest of my family was at the next door, Chipotle. I ordered a green goddess cobb salad which has chicken, bacon, eggs, avocado and lettuce. I asked for poppyseed salad dressing on the side. The cashier was a bit flaky and did not ask me what I wanted for my side- I wanted an apple. So I told the person at the counter where my salad was to be packaged. I got my salad to go and it was very good. First time at panera bread. I placed my order , they gave me a buzzer and than we sat down. They didnt give me any direction so when the buzzer went off i went to the register, their was only one person at the register so i waoted until she was done. She than told me i have go to the other side to pick up the food. I went to the other side and than i realized we there was the extra utensils and seasoning there too. I wished they informed the customers ahead of time because i went during lunch and their was a lot elderly people. Seems like they were in the same boat as me, didn't know where to pick up the food & wandering around. For a child the kids menu was great. I ordered the mac & cheese and based off the cup size the staff showed me it looked like a good size but when i got my meal the portion was so small. Seems like it was smaller than the to go cup size. The food was good but the price for the portion size was not worth it. read more

Love getting some cheap food here without it being the junk food that we would usually pay for the same price. The drink choices here are allot healthier than most places too. Although they still have the typical soda fare as others if you'd like. Free refills of course...who doesn't nowadays? This location is another haven for those that need a place to work from their complete computers, tablets or phones. Just don't be that jerk that takes up the largest table and sits by him/herself. And being kind enough to buy some food and drinks proportioned to the time you spend here would be nice. A pretty roomie location so you don't feel like you're breathing down someone's neck our store them down your neck. You can order through the Panera app or on the tablets in the front of the store if you're shy. They'll bring the food to your table, just remember to take a badge when you order. read more

Literally the only place I've ever eaten in my life at that anytime you walk in there is nobody to order from. Literally nobody in the restaurant lol. Is this a joke? Who manages / owns this place? I waited a few minutes and then just ordered two muffins from the kiosk. Five to ten minutes after I ordered from the kiosk some guy walked out and I asked if he could grab me the muffins and he said "No sorry I don't work in this section sorry". A couple minutes later some girl came out and I asked if she could get them and she did. Everytime I go here I feel like it gets worse. Last night I went to pick up dinner at 6. I had to order from the kiosk because the guy working at the counter was scratching his head, leaning over the counter and scrolling on his phone. They were out of the baguette sides so all they had were apples and chips which wasnt the worst thing in the world. My daughter wanted broccoli mac n cheese which they no longer sell so instead I ordered the broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl (which you have to pay extra for) which they said they still had -I specifically ordered the bread bowl because they didnt have the baguette sides. Then I ordered 2 sandwiches and a french onion soup, along with 2 drinks. I waited a while for my order to be ready which I do not mind, however, the drink station was disgusting- it looked like it hadn't been cleaned all day- sticky with straw wrappers all over the counter, and the machines had not been wiped down. When I finally got my order I went home with it (less than 5 minutes away). They did not give me the bread bowl (so I wound up paying over $9 for a tiny cup of soup), shorted me 2 sides, and both soups were lukewarm at best. The sandwiches had avocado on them and pieces of the avocado were brown. I stopped getting salads from them because the lettuce is always brown. The quality of this place has significantly dropped while the portions have gotten smaller and the prices have gone up. I wont be going back to this Panera again and instead will support smaller family businesses. read more

Beautiful new location. It has both stairs and a handicap accessible ramp. The outdoor seating area looks nice. We went for lunch and ordered You Pick 2's. The food was right on par with other Panera locations. I tried the Roasted Turkey & Avocado BLT sandwich. Really tasty! The sandwich is a bit too heavy for the sourdough bread though. The staff was really friendly. One of the employees even came around with samples of the Super Fruit Smoothie! Awesome. And we enjoyed those samples. Will order one on a future visit. This location just opened last week. It is directly behind Chipotle in the JCPenney parking lot. I love that they finally opened a location by Willowbrook Mall. It's a really great location and I will be frequenting often! read more

I know that I can always get a delicious meal served at any Panera Bread location. But what differs from each place is the level of service and the ambiance of the restaurant. Fortunately for this location it has the other two elements to a successful culinary equation. This particular location has ample seating, is always well-maintained, and the staff are both efficient and courteous. I mean seriously what more could a patron ask for. I often find myself on boring days driving to this Panera with my laptop, ordering whatever I'm craving for that day and just relax for hours on end. The free Wi-Fi is definitely a draw for many such as myself that want a change of scenery instead of staying indoors in the house. I continue to patronize this particular Panera for good reasons and have no doubt that those who give them a try will as well. read more

Food was meh at best but the salad bowl and silverware we got were dirty. It looked like they hadn't been washed, there were bits of hardened and dried food on the bowl, and the silverware had smudges and smears of some kind. My sandwich had balls of unmelted cheese in them when they should have been melted but were partially melted at best. Furthermore, we had to take chairs from a different table to have enough for all four of us. This Panera has been very disappointing lately. read more

I always wondered why this place is always empty while every other Panera I've seen is packed, especially during lunch time. I went during peak lunch hours and there was almost no customers. About six employees were just hanging out and talking at the register and when I walked up they quickly dispersed. I've never seen more consistently miserable employees anywhere. Seriously I've had better customer service at any McDonalds. I know it's probably not a great job but wow I didn't see a single employee who didn't look angry or like they were in the middle of an existential crisis. It's the same menu as every other Panera but even the sandwich I got was so poorly thrown together. I first found out about this Panera when the one in West Caldwell ran out of bagels on a Sunday morning (who does that?!). A quick Yelp search for the next closest Panera brought up this one -- so, sight unseen, I trusted my fellow Yelpers and aimed my car toward Willowbrook. When I found it (kinda behind the new Costco, near Dick's, where the old Wayne Towne Center used to be), I was surprised to pull up to a building with a patio! Could you imagine eating Panera outside? Neither could I ... until now! I went up the stairs and into the prettiest Panera I've ever seen. The counter area is in the newest style of Panera shops, with a large curved counter that allows you to see everything. And, most importantly, there was a wall full of fresh bagels! I ordered 4 bagels, and the cashier told me that if I ordered a half-dozen, it would actually come out to be cheaper. Two extra bagels and my money back? SOLD. I appreciate any employee that is looking out for my wallet, so thank you! When I got home, we dug into the bagels and they were soft and super fresh. Really good (dare I say the bagels were better than the ones from the WC location? Shhhh). I've been back since the bagel excursion for lunch, and I was greeted with the same friendly service and super fresh food. Free wifi ! Great Customer Service! Ample seating! I was in need of a drink! My mouth was dry and I was aiming for something a little more fun than just plain water ! I decided to stop by and see what Panera can offer me. I was torn between three choices - Açai Berry Iced Tea, Green Tea and Hibiscus. Two friendly employees offered me a sample of all three. I was flattered for the great service. When it came to paying my Acai drink, my Panera card was not registered but she accepted it and earned points! Immensely appreciated ! At about 930pm I ordered for pickup a mozzarella tomato and basil flat bread ( toasted ) and by the time I got home to eat sound 955 I noticed it wasn't toasted there was lettuce and some other things I didn't ask for. I think this location has been making recent changes to the way they do things because I have been going to this Panera for quite some time and it has always been average in a way. However, I went today and I was so happy with my experience. I had the worst day ever because I had to go to the DMV and everyone there was awful! I decided to stop by Panera and they completely changed my day around...which sounds really weird but hear me out. As soon as I walked in I saw that they had new kiosks that you can order from/customize your own order which was great!! You can add different condiments, change breads, etc. secondly, they began to bring your food to you instead of having to wait by the cooks, I didn't really mind in the first place but I thought it was a nice change. Also, when I got my food I noticed that the portions were a little bigger and they didn't skimp on the ingredients, plus, they gave me a free cookie!!!!!! I was really happy with the service, the employees were very nice and hospitable and I am looking forward to my next visit. ALSO- I highly recommend their green tea passion iced tea, it's so refreshing and not too sweet. read more

I currently use Panera Bread in Wayne as an office. I'm here at least three times per week. I have gotten to know most of the staff. Although I enjoy the food, my comment is regarding one employee in particular. Margie is responsible for making sure the tables and eating areas are clean and well presented. It's obvious that she takes pride in her work. She is always making sure the tables are clean and free from trash left behind from the previous customer. It's a great pleasure to know that there are still individuals who take pride in providing excellent service for their customers. This is a pretty good Panera. The parking lot is huge, and the seating area inside looks disproportionately small compared to it. The food is the same as all the other Panera, which is kind of the point of a chain, as is the fact that they get the orders wrong most of the time. They give you a buzzer when you order to let you know when to pick up your food, but most of the time they bring the food to the table anyway. I ordered salad with tomato basil bread, but they brought me a salad with an apple. When I advised them, they brought me a baguette... Panera just always seems to give you what they want instead of what the customer wants Decent coffee and they did a good job keeping it fresh. read more

Great customer service at Panera Bread in Wayne. I go often so I'm familiar with the menu. Today I was served the wrong bowl, which was no big deal since I liked what they served me anyway. I never complained but half way through the meal I mentioned it to the manager who happen to check in with us. 5-minutes later they gave me the correct entrée to-go...FREE! I order from this location to deliver frequently for lunch at work. Out of the many times I've ordered, the order had been right every time, but the delivery drivers have more than half the time ignored the delivery instructions given (There has only been one girl out of the 3 different drivers I've gotten who followed them). Today, however, will be the last time I ever order from there. Delivery drivers getting confused (on one occasion, delivering my order 20 minutes later than expected when it left the establishment on time) was able to be overlooked. I even overlooked the time where my order left the Panera location and I watched my driver going all over the place before finally calling to find out what was going on, only for the manager of the location to try telling me I didn't order from their location. I use the mobile app to order. It directly links me to the location and phone number I ordered from when I track the order. Finding a Fly crawling around in my sandwich today, however, is where I'm officially drawing the line. So beyond disgusted. read more
