Just wow! We hear people raving about Panera, can't begin to figure out why. Our second experience with them and once again uninspiring. There was no employee in site in the lobby. It's all kiosks, which are very slow with all the choices and people unfamiliar with using them. No one anywhere to assist. We waited over 30 minutes for our meal. It was raining and I had my heart set on grilled cheese and tomato soup. I went to pick up our order only to find out they were out of tomato soup. A human taking my order could have told me this. My grilled "cheese" was all bread with one thin piece of cheese and was barely warm. Our table was sticky dirty. Not once while eating did I see an employee cleaning tables. We cleared our dishes on to an overflowing collection area. I know places are having trouble finding employees, but this was really bad. Stopped in after a long day of travelling. Wanted to order a plain turkey sandwich and a cup of soup. The server had to check with someone else and when they both came back to me, they told me they couldn't do that. The menus were set (Turkey sandwich was on the menu). Very disappointed with this specific panera. I often order for pick up on the app at a different location but this time came in since it's next to the outlets. My sandwich had the wrong spread. I asked them to remake it and they kept bringing the one I returned. Finally, after 2 attempts they remade it but I could tell they weren't happy about it. I'm not the one that made the mistake and receipt clearly showed it. The bathrooms were also another reason for poor marks. The paper towel rolls were just sitting on the small counter and wet. I debated between giving Panera 2 or 3 stars in my review. Here is why I decided to go with 3 instead of 2, even considering that there was a hair in my sandwich: 1) Employees were respectful about the fact that there was a hair in my sandwich and they promptly made me a new one and were sincerely apologetic. 2) The restaurant was very clean and well kept. 3) The food was great and so was the service. read more

I got the onion soup and Fuji Apple salad. Salad was tasty. Took about 40 minutes to get my order for dine in. My soup was lukewarm so I took it back. The person behind the counter said "their soups were set at 275 degrees". I think most likely my soup was in the bowl and sitting there for 30 minutes? Ok, so I had never been to panera before, so this was a really funny experience.. The boyfriend and I went in for lunch, while I took a few minutes to look over the menu I listened to the over eager counter girl ready to "help whoever is next!" lol I ordered a latte n sandwich, He got a half sandwich and soup w small smoothie. Counter girl points kindly to the side n says we wait there for our food. Ok, cool. Where's my latte? (never been here before, n I don't drink much fancy coffee so idk what one looks like). I figure I'll get it when I get my food. No problem. We sit down for only a few minutes when our coaster starts vibrating and He stands up to grab our food, only to find out some old lady grabbed his plate! Lol, it happens. Bummer. I watch him explain that, then read the receipt of our order so we can get his food, and BOTH our drinks. So we sit down with my food and wait a moment (they were very speedy and friendly. Awesome.). At this time I asked about my coffee n was told the counter girl should have given me a cup but that she would now grab me one. Cool, thanks. (still confused. I have to make my own latte?) So she gives me a cup n I make a lap for the latte maker, and realize I'm dumb. I go back, explain, they fix, all is well. Sort of .. So a nice girl brings out the rest of our order but I still had no latte, so I mention my coffee, and she brings me one. Problem solved. Bon Appétit! After fixing up my bland as hell coffee (not their fault, I take my sugar with a little coffee), I see an order up for a real latte and realize I've been duped. I approach the counter still hopeful they will right my order, which they did. Happily. As I'm standing there, the sandwich theif returns with an untouched sandwich, apologizing profusely. I was skeptical, but She was adamant about only having a cpl bites of the soup, so I said no worries, offered her the rest, grabbed my fresh latte and now-free half sandwich, and went to finish my lunch. I told the boyfriend what happened and we had a laugh, and finished our lunch. So after ALL of that - a sandwich theif who wasn't a theif at all, fake lattes, extra coffees, a little bit of waiting and a LOT of confusion on my end.. I had a wonderful first time. Definitely unforgettable. Lol. What topped it off was bumping into the manager on my way out and having a laugh about the whole thing! Shit happens sometimes, roll with it. Am member from Silicon Valley. Best Panera experience ever! Saving 5th star for the day I return to try more here. My reasoning as follows: 1. Believe I was served by the owner/manager himself. It was about 8:33:43 am today and I am still here. The store had only two other customers when I arrived and now that the outlet mall is open STILL not crowed. Always crowded in Sunnyvale, CA two locations. The receipt stated the Cashier: Natalie. Check# 100783. 2. What caused me to believe he was franchisee: He corrected me when I said I just spent a month in British Columbia and knew no Panera stores in Canada. After eating local fruit and poutine in BC, I was ready for my first bagel in over a month. (I did eat some fresh salmon and oysters on the shell in Whistler and the very best Thai in Vancouver.) It for me really was the "everything" bagel. 3. I asked for the real coffee mug---it was warm in my hand. Maybe the stores in California have enough mugs but never have I had a mug still warm from the dishwasher. (It would be too decadent to keep the mugs on purpose. I am from LaLa land and this is the Pacific Northwest.) 4. I did not have to bus my own table. The young lady said the sorting station had just been removed. Was told by another customer who also had trouble finding the sorting station that this store a couple of years new. read more

Not a great experience here. My family loves Panera, but the service at this location is garbage. Our party let the kitchen team know we received cold Mac&Cheese and some Sass-bag said that if we weren't happy we could use the microwave under the condiments. We went inside to eat & ordered at the counter. Mediterranean sandwich, BBQ Chicken Sandwich w/Tomato soup, Vanilla Latte w/cinnamon & 2 bagels to go. They give you a pager for when your food is ready & you return it to the kitchen window to collect your order. Both sandwiches were very fresh (except my last bite had the cinnamon that was supposed to be in my latte on it.) The soup was hot & definitely NOT from a can. The drinks manager let us try to of the teas at the drink station and then gave us two iced teas for free. They did forget to include our to-go bagels on our tray with our lunch order, but a simple reminder & they had them bagged up and to our table in a minute. The service was good, the food excellent but I think the front & the back/kitchen might communicate a little more to make for EXCELLENT service as it seemed like there was some confusion between the two while we were there. read more

Five stars!!! Traveling as a vegan can definitely be complicated and considering I had only ever ordered Mac n cheese here a long time ago, I was unsure what I'd be able to find. With a quick google search I found I could have the Mediterranean sandwich without feta and sub for ciabatta bread. I also was able to enjoy a peach blueberry smoothie with almond milk. When I ordered in the drive thru I asked the employee if it was vegan just to make sure and she was super kind about it and all of her coworkers helped and made sure! Seriously they were all so kind and it meant so much! I definitely don't like making complicated orders and I love when the workers don't make you feel bad for ordering a more complicated order. Not to mention, the sandwich was seriously the best sandwich I've had in a really long time!!! There was some sort of hummus on there and crunchy peppers and it was so freakin amazing. Delicious looking pastries! The Paneras nearer to home don't have this much of a selection. My salad was fine but the chicken was more bottom of the barrel shreds than it was strips of meat and the croutons were blah....like you'd buy at the grocery store. I'm giving a low score because even though it wasn't busy there were a large number of dirty tables. And the tables that had been 'cleaned' were sticky! So gross. read more

I have been here before and the cashier could not get our order correct. My recent visit on January 10 was even worse. My order was wrong not once but twice. The server was rude and argued with me. I love the "clean" food at Panera but not the dirty atmosphere. I have been too so many Panera's and the tables are dirty. Just happened again at this one. I am in town working, figured I would NOT drive thru since I had enough time & every available table needed cleaning. So I grabbed a table, asked someone for a rag to clean it myself, then my food arrived. I explained I would like the table cleaned first. Table gets clean, food arrives. Good. I am a huge fan of Panera's. In May 2018 I set up a ladies's spring luncheon with Panera's catering. They went above and beyond making sure our day was special. Their sandwiches are amazing.. I especially love the tuna or the turkey. But their soup bowl. I LOVE their soup bowl. And their strawberry salad. And their breakfast sandwiches. And their baked goods. Need I say more? read more

Had a terrible experience. Was there on May 25 with my 2 sisters. We all ordered soup. When we picked up our Food, 2 of the 3 bowls were Luke warm. When we took them back to the counter, we were told we couldn't pass food back over the counter. Then we had to find another person, who pointed in a direction and we were told to just microwave it. This was my first time eating at a Panera. The food was really good. There were a couple of mistakes, no salad dressing on one salad and no chicken on the other salad. The recipe says free goodies if your order is wrong and that was not offered. I didn't push it because I didn't want it but if your receipt says it you should offer it. Overall I enjoyed the soup and Asian salad and my husband says his strawberry salad and avocado sandwich was good. read more
