Since the current manager Jada(?) was recently transferred to the Wynnewood location, we have experienced repeated refusal to accommodate a simple request to separate pastries for a health-related necessity and to help mitigate potential liability related to food allergies, dietary restrictions and cross-contamination. Our concerns have been consistently disregarded and dismissed at this location whenever this manager is on duty. On the evening of Sunday, March 22, 2026 at approximately 7:50pm, the situation escalated unnecessarily. Although the front counter employee had already separated the pastries as requested by type, store manager Jada(?) intervened in a hostile and dismissive manner and proceeded to spark confusion and controversy. These actions resulted in the discarding of the donated items by the store manager without valid cause. She then demanded that our non-profit representative leave the premises without justification and escalated the matter further by contacting law enforcement to have our representative removed. Additionally, store manager made explicit threats to have our organization removed from the donation pickup list, which raises serious concerns, alarming, inappropriate and inconsistent with expected professional standards. This conduct is unacceptable and stands in stark contrast to Panera Bread's Day-End Dough-Nation program. A formal complaint has been submitted to corporate. read more

Today, 4/1/2026 I stopped for a carry out lunch. I ordered an Italian sandwich and a Greek Salad. When I arrived home (10 mins later) I found a grease soaked wrapped sandwich, with an excessive amount of mayo that was leaking all over the wrapping, and an alleged Greek Salad that had been thrown together with soggy olives that had a bitter taste, lettuce that was turning brown in places, and NO Cover top on the salad bowl. The salad bowl had a flimsy piece of saran wrap as a cover. The meal was disgusting. I dumped the sandwich and the salad in the garbage. My purchase was a total waste of money $23.16. The quality of the food and the presentation is unacceptable. The employees preparing the dishes needs Food Service Trainig. This place used to be decent for sandwiches and take out, now it Sucks! I go to this Panera a couple times a month to pick up lunches for work meetings at Lankenau Hospital. They do a wonderful job. Sometimes I have a request to customize the order that cannot be done on the app, and I call the store directly. The Cafe Manager handles it with such professionalism and politeness. It's kind of annoying how companies have pivoted so quickly to technology use. It can be convenient if you don't feel like interacting with people or want to look over the menu thoroughly. However, if you know you simply want a orange scone and no one is able to take your order, it takes a 20 second interaction of "orange scone please" "that will be $2.58" ::credit card ding:: transaction over. Nope I need to scroll through a touch screen (during covid) tell the computer I'm not a rewards member, then I need to confirm that I do not want to become a rewards member, then I need to find the orange scone, then click checkout, then confirm that I do not infact want anything else with my order, then I finally get to pay. Then I wait for the order to be received in the back for someone to bring me my scone. Rather annoying. It's close to target so I will probably return. read more

For years this was our go to when no one could agree on what we wanted for take-out. We had stopped going for a while as more options popped up in the area. We wanted soup on a cold day so Panera was an obvious choice. When I got home I was super annoyed part of the order was missing but too cold to go back out. Chicken noodle soup had weird rubber chicken, they "retired" the turkey club, and as soon as we took a bite of the chicken sandwich it was clear the chicken was not fresh. We then tried the chicken in the salad and it was also dried out and weird tasing. We decided to trash it and open up a can of soup. To boot the bread was hard and did not taste fresh. The salad also came in a plastic that looked like it was sitting in a drugstore shelf all day. This is probably one of the best Panera Breads I have been to. Nice seating area, good staff and great food. When ordering, they have a couple of huge overhead menus. I also believe that this restaurant tests out items before they go to most other locations. For example, they had new chocolate chip cookies, macaroons and a giant salted caramel cookie. The staff here is very kind and knows the menu well. They have been trained to be able to keep lines moving very quickly. Even if the store is very busy and only 1-2 cash registers are open, the staff does a great job and controls the line. The setup of the store can be a bit confusing, and it is located on a vertical angle. However, the staff directs you on where to go so it is very easy to find. I ordered a chicken and wild rice bread bowl. It came out very fast, was warm and tasted pretty good. Their new chocolate chip cookie recipes was amazing with a much harder outside and a great chewy inside. They must have also gotten new chocolate chips as they tasted and melted a bit differently. One concern I had was that during my whole meal a man sitting next to me was on his phone, talking loudly. That is not really the restaurants fault, though. read more

First time in a Panera, cute shop, pretty empty. We ordered two sandwiches and two coffees. None of the coffees were hot. The tables were sticky and gross. We were waiting a long time for our food to be called. My fiance went up to the cashier to ask where our food was. Cashier gave him attitude saying he has to order first. He reminded her, she helped 15 min ago. I don't understand the attitude or how she forgot him considering there only 5 people in the store. The staff is monotone. The order/pickup situation is kind of weird. This was my first time at a Panera and I didn't know that I was supposed to pickup my food when my name was called and it wasn't clear that the pickup station was in the back (hard to even see back there). Someone called my name fast and low over a speaker and I ventured to the back hoping to find my food. Staff should tell customers their name will be called and the pick up area is in the back. Recently had catered breakfast from Panera and was blown away by the breakfast soufflés! I was disheartened when I heard we were having Quiche...but when I saw the soufflés I did a quick double take and grabbed 2! They were SOOO GOOD! But I forgot all about them until I stopped into Panera this weekend for breakfast when my usual go to place was packed! I was so happy to see this item on the breakfast menu and it was just as good as I remembered it at our catered breakfast. I also got the Steel Cut Oatmeal, which is hearty and healthy, and an iced tea. Another plus...I plugged in my phone number for the "Panera card" and found out I had a free birthday pastry waiting for me ;) Chocolate Croissant please! It was a nice alternative to eating breakfast in a diner\restaurant. Felt no rush to turn over the table, grabbed a free refill at my leisure, and had a very relaxing breakfast. No doubt I'll be back! Employees were friendly and helpful. The manager on duty was pretty good, particularly for a younger guy. Good people skills and a good attitude go a long way. Do note, the PICKUP area is not visible from the ORDER area. Just keep walking to the back of the store and you will find the self serve soft drinks\iced tea and the food pickup area. read more

I have tried to overlood the issue of the past. Last time I had plastic in my soup. I called to talk to the manager, who agreed to refund my money but also train the staff. Stating they need to do better. Well I never received my refund and I stayed away from this panera. However I went against my better judgement and figured I would give it a second chance. I work at the local urgent care and rarely have time to get lunch, a good lunch so I figured it has GOT to be better. Well I was most disappointed when there was plastic from the bag it is in AGAIN in my soup. Maybe I need to come there to train people how to open up bags while pouring in containers. Hard cooked plastic, not to mention I ordered a ceaser salad with chicken for my dinner. We work 12 hour shifts at this Urgent Care. Low and behold there was a tomato hidden in my chicken ceasar salad, most people would not question the cross containation of a tomoto in your salad however I am allergic to tomoatoes, never order anything that has tomoatoes in it. DO I waste my time calling, Nahh. WHY. This location like so many should be ashamed on themselves. Panera management should be ashamed of themselves. May they get what they serve to us the customers. Visited on Sat Feb 2nd around 3:30p. I ordered the Modern Caprese sandwich with broccoli and cheddar soup & a small drink...totalling $13. My sandwich tasted like bread because there was basically nothing on it. I went back to the cashier and asked what was the brown dressing on it and he said a basalmic glaze and asked if I liked the sandwich & I told him not really. He immediately offered to get me a different sandwich "no charge". I selected the Mediterranean sandwich which was less money. He told me to just throw out the Modern caprese sandwich, which I did, and he went in the back and told them to make me a Mediterranean sandwich. So now I'm thinking to myself "how are you making me another sandwich at "no charge" if you aren't refunding me, especially since the new sandwich (Mediterranean) is over $2 less than the original sandwich I ordered?" So I call him on it, he seemed confused, gets the Manager, the Manager gives me a refund for the sandwich. After waiting and waiting, no new sandwich! I finally ask where it is, they say "we gave you a refund." I said "So how do you offer someone a free sandwich if they pay for it??" A bunch of dummies at that spot during the shift. This is the second time I have gotten a bad order from the cook or food preparer. The first time my husband and I ordered non-customized specials. Meaning, "How can you mess it up?" something the store has on the menu. He left out cheese, and meat on one and on the other the butter and jelly. So I ask for the items and he states, "that's not what was on the ticket" Second incident I ordered from their Kisosk to prevent and misinterpretation of the order! Decent cheap food fast, should be the slogan for Panera. You can't go wrong with their salads, sandwiches, and soups. The pick 2 is a good option for a cheap lunch. Nothing at Panera is "mind blowing" good, but its a decent option for breakfast, lunch, or a quick casual dinner. The coffee is drinkable, but don't expect Starbucks quality when you order a late. The free wifi is decent, which makes it a good stop if you're telecommuting, or between meetings. The Ardmore Panera is very "blah" since its situated in an old strip mall.
