(1 Star) This was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I have had. I ordered the Jerk Chicken Pasta with extra chicken, but I was given a meal with shrimp and what appeared to be beef instead. The problem is that I am allergic to shrimp, making this a serious food safety issue. Fortunately, I noticed the mistake before taking a bite. I had to drive all the way back to the restaurant to have my order corrected. After waiting again, I expected a fresh, hot meal. Instead, I was given cold pasta with cheese that was not even melted. Giving a customer shrimp when they ordered chicken is not a minor mistake. Shrimp is a major allergen, and this type of error could have life-threatening consequences. The replacement meal being cold only made an already frustrating experience worse. I cannot recommend a restaurant that is this careless with food orders and customer safety. read more

I went to Pan Fiyah during lunch hours since I was in the neighborhood and had heard good things about this restaurant. The atmosphere was welcoming and not crowded at all. The cashier was friendly and introduced us to their $10 lunch special. I ordered the jerk chicken pasta, which came with festival bread and a soda. It was a great deal for the price and very filling. While the cashier was friendly and the lunch deal was a great value, I did expect the pasta to be more flavorful, especially for a Caribbean spot. I can't front, all I eat is the jerk chicken pasta. Any given day, anytime it's the same great tasting Beal when I order it. The service and quality is superb! The service was average at first, but it seemed to reflect the mood of some of the other customers, who weren't particularly friendly or enthusiastic. With that said, if you're patient and positive, it's definitely worth the wait. I am very outgoing, and my interaction with Mikayla really turned things around. Going there you gon wait a minute for yo food. Ion blame them cuz it comes out hot and fresh. I had the jerk pork pasta and it was so delicious I couldn't put the fork down till it was finished. Next time I'll get the jerk chicken pasta or try the mango habanero chicken plate. They are busy so make your order quick while you on that phone so they don't skip over you, or leave you hangin. And their ETA is accurate. So if they say 20 minutes, they mean it. Here's a picture of some of the jerk pork pasta I devoured! I'm only taking off one star because they can be quite pricey. Definitely in that $40 range if you want more than just an entree. So I'd just stick to a $12-19 entree if you're eating on a budget. Portions are pretty fair. A Jamaican fusion restaurant to pick up food to go. This in my opinion is one of the better Caribbean restaurants around as they have a great variety of food. Their lunch specials are usually M-F starting at 11am at the moment featuring a Barbi-Fried chicken, Fried Chicken as well as Jerk Chicken for your options. The delivery was pretty fast, the food was piping hot, but the flavors were not there. I got a munchy bowl and the potatoes were giving instant. The sweet chili salmon was just fried with sauce on top. The jerk was just spicy, not flavorful. The noodles were dry and topped with melted cheese, then the sauce just sat at the bottom. The bigger they have gotten, it seems less effort and time is spent on food preparation. The last couple times I have ordered festivals, I found them to be extremely oily and soggy. I work for DoorDash and every time I am placed an order from here I have to unassign because nothing is ever ready within 40 minutes of my arrival time. I learned that well on and I mean even as simple as just jerk chicken pasta, and the small order at that. I'm not sure what general management is doing as clearly they are not observing what is happening go service at this place. I DoorDash for J Alexander's, Cheesecake Factory, Grand Lux, P.F. Chang's, Outback Steakhouse, Chili's, and everything is always ready when it's supposed to be. I understand you are not fast food, however those chains are on point as your restaurant is not. There is a way for your company to let DoorDash know the time. Wait you have the technology there and yet your employees fail to use it. You walk in and you're greeted with an oblique smile they do not tell you how long the estimated time is going to be once they go back and look for your order. They come out and speak in a soft tone when there's like 12 people in the the small "waiting" area and announce the order in a timid voice, and then give you an attitude and eye roll if you missed the name called. I am the office manager at a technology center and I would've been fired a long time ago if I didn't greet a customer with a smile and help them with pure customer service. Again the manager who handles this restaurant really needs to do a deep dive on who his employees are as they are smug and rude, and the cooks need to be cooks.
