Ordered a 1/2 pesto mozzarella sandwich with the house salad. Very very good! The pair at the counter were really friendly. I regret not purchasing a loaf of bread- they had so many different kinds and they all looked so good. The only major downer was that I ordered a slice of pie to-go and later discovered the bottom was very undercooked. Practically still dough and I threw it away. Strange because you'd think they'd have noticed too when slicing/ packaging it up.. I'll give them another shot next time I'm up there bc my lunch was great but will look closer if I order pie again. read more

I've been going here for a long time because I love the food, unfortunately I don't think I'll be returning anymore. It almost always feels like you're imposing on the staff by ordering (because you shouldn't be taking up their valuable time with your order and money???), even the owner is very unfriendly - sometimes downright rude! I even heard a person in front of me say she felt like she was annoying the owner when ever she ordered. The food is good but not good enough to make up for the service. If you've got the patience for it, give it a try just for some of the food, unfortunately I don't anymore. I would hope that the staff and owner see some of these reviews and make changes accordingly because it has a lot of potential being lost just because of some bad attitudes. Like I said - I'm not an out-of-towner. I've been going here a long time, and now I'm just done with feeling like I'm annoying people with my business. read more

HPS Plumbing was called out for a simple service to replace a water valve in my bathroom but ended up taking 2 days when my outside water pipe burst below the water shut off valve. Fortunately, Albert Sanchez from HPS Plumbing saved me from further damage with services that far exceeded my satisfaction. He ended up having to rework the piping that will make it easy to shut my water off if or when necessary. Albert was prompt and the quality of his work was extremely professional. I just moved to Prescott about a month ago. Since moving here my husband and I have come to Pangaea almost every morning. We love everything about it. The food is great and the baked goods are amazing. They offer pastries, breakfast items, sandwiches, teas, coffee, and the best fresh baked bread. I will not buy bread anywhere else ever again. The caramelized banana french toast is the best. I would also recommend the grilled brie and fig sandwich, so good. And they also have a couple of vegan options which is always nice to see. The food isn't the only good thing about Pangaea. The staff is adorable and very personable. And I love that they decorated the place with art from local artists. It's a great little place to come to every morning. It seems that they really put a lot of effort into what they're doing. The pastries aren't overly sweet so you can actually taste whats in them. The bread options change every day, as do the quiches and pastries, so there is plenty of variety. I can honestly say that I do not have a single complaint about Pangaea. It's the type of place that I was hoping to find when I moved here. LOVE IT! read more

Recently had their split pea and ham soup as the tomato soup had ran out. Now I'm not typically a fan of split pea but it was super great! What really delights me is the taste of quality ingredients they're using. SO good. And their cups of soup are as big as a bowl.. At a great price as well. read more

We have been staying in Prescott Valley for the summer and every Saturday morning we make the trek to Pangea bakery. They have chocolate croissants to die for, excellent quiche and turnovers, and very good coffee. They also have very good soups for lunch and baked loaves of bread. Bakery In Prescott AZ, First off, I have placed several large orders from them in the past. When I went in later to order a few items again, the owner stated "that I did not order that from them", Which is a laughable thing to say to a current customer. I will not be sending them anymore of my business. I ended up going to a Safeway bakery, and purchased several quality cakes. Pangea is one of the only places in town where you may be able to eat a GMO free meal. The breads and chef's pastries have a wonderful Old World feel to them. Are they totally organic or more importantly GMO-free? I don't know, please ask. The more people ask, the more likely GMO-free ingredients are used. The owner tries and works really hard to make this a healthy oasis in a sea of corn syrup, RGbH dairy, and GMO fed animal products. Please support her efforts to make that final step of affording to source 100% GM free ingredients. After living in Montreal for 15 years, and being spoiled with French pastry delights, happening upon Pangea Bakery was like heaven again! We have treked to Prescott for two vacations now, just so we can sample the flaky, most tender fruit danishes that studd the bakery shelves. So many times we've seen pretty pastries elsewhere, but they were a disappointment to the taste buds. You will not be disappointed with the breakfast goodies of this gem of a chef! We decided to meet some friends and go to Pangea for brunch. I ordered a Pastrami sandwich and my husband a egg panini. First off the staff is very friendly and attentive, but it did not make up for the fact that the Meat in my Pastrami was Green and parts of it tasted old. The sandwiches were unimpressive as if the staff was to busy to look at overall quality. I showed the staff the Green Pastrami but the way they reacted it was almost like this was a common occurrence, they apologized but seemed unsure what to do. I Didn't make a big scene about it as my stomach was already starting to punish me for eating what I did. My husband started throwing up about an hour later so I can only assume that either the eggs were old or something wasn't clean in the back. Coffee was decent, but for the $23.40 that I paid for our meals I could have gotten the same without the Food Poisoning at WildFlower. I'm sure their breads are still fantastic but if I ever decide to try it again which is unlikely I recommend sticking with only their pastry and breads (the chocolate croissant was flaky and better than Wildflowers). I still can't believe a place with such high esteem in Prescott and an owner that I thought cared about quality would serve Old Green Pastrami and old eggs, Avoid the meat unless you want to intimately get to know your porcelain friend. read more

I have been traveling solo across country for the past 6 months and have visited many bakery/cafes similar to Pangaea. I am delighted to say that Pangaea is my favorite!! The variety of truly delectable goodies offered in this wonderful little cafe...including vegan and gluten free items are really impressive, delicious and very much worth the calories. I've had soups and sandwiches also...all really, really tasty. I love this little place that is slightly off the beaten path and I hope the locals recognize the treasure that they have here at Pangaea. note: I have never been a big fan of fruitcake...but Pangaea has changed all that. Even if you can't stand the stuff, give yourself a delicious adventure and try some of Pangaea's surprisingly rich and rewarding fruitcake...it will change your palate in a very yummy way. I have been to Pangaea atleast 6 times in the past several weeks...they never disappoint. Kudos to the staff (always friendly) and the brilliant mind who dreams up the delectable fare. Pangaea is a bakery where the goodies inside the case really taste as good as they look; and the many healthy, organic selections are also something you just don't see everywhere. It's such a shame to only give this place 2 stars, because the food is really quite good. The only problem that spoils this place for me is the service. There never seems to be enough counter help, or, the counter help is a bit short and curt with you when you place your order. They seem to lack a bit of friendly customer service at times. One time I waited quite awhile while the counter help was more interested in finishing her conversation with someone. My mother was with me and just about walked out! Today the issue was the lack of salad dressing, as in none came with our salads, and for 1 salad it had about 1/2 a teaspoon worth of dressing in the little plastic container !! Seemed stingey. I go back for items to go, but today was the 1st time eating in and it was a disappointment. I hope they can improve on these issues because the food is great, but between the bad service and the somewhat basic and uncomfortable seating, it makes it hard to continue going back. read more

Zero stars on customer service alone! I am a CA transplant and was warned to the lack of customer service in Prescott, but this was flat out rude! I had just moved to Prescott and calling different bakeries to see if they sell pre-made small cakes for my fiances birthday. He did not want a cake, but the day before expressed that it may be nice. I knew it would be a challenge, but it does not hurt to ask. I phoned this bakery and she was so rude. She was talking over me after she asked me what I was looking for. I started by saying I may want butter cream; she interrupted me by saying that butter cream is not a flavor. I should have hung up at that point. Then I threw out some cake flavors and included German Chocolate. She respond with the fact that German Chocolate cake does not have butter cream. That was it for me. Bye bye. Do NOT patronize call Grama's Bakery in Prescott; very helpful. read more
