Brought some out of town friends who liked Mediterranean food. First time at this location at the Fox Hills mall between Macy's and JC Penny. Plenty of parking and ADA access. Comfortable seating. It wasn't busy and plenty of seating but our party of four stood there for a while before we got acknowledged. I could tell the two servers were overwhelmed as they dispensed with the pleasantries. Once we sat we waited again for menus and then waiting again for our drink order. Again this was a Thursday at 7pm. Not busy at all. Falafel wrap - delicious, love the mild seasoning, plenty of falafel with cucumbers, tomato chunks and lettuce. Was filling but light. Ate it with amazing cucumber dill yogurt that was not sour. I hate to write this review because I've loved Panini Kabob for years and have visited many of its locations, but this particular location is poorly managed and has the worst service I've experienced. We arrived around 5:30 on a Friday. There were only three tables seated inside and one outside, and we were told to sit anywhere. I chose a table in the corner, and then we waited about 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order. During that time, the server who eventually waited on us was taking drink orders from two other tables, retrieving them, and delivering them. I'm not sure why a busser couldn't have dropped off the drinks, especially since after delivering them, the server then took the order of a table that arrived after us. I also want to note that there were two servers on duty. Had we been properly seated instead of told to sit anywhere, this situation may have been handled differently. read more

We always love panini and grill across multiple locations including Marina Del Rey and Century City Mall. They used to have one in Playa Vista but closed during the pandemic. This one seems new, so we ordered our usual (chicken kabab with a side salad), as well as a new item in the menu Salmon and Brie sandwich. It is very tasty and you can tell the j gradients are of high quality. Our order was to go, and we were pleasantly surprised to see they have a separate area just for pickup, unlike the MDR store where pickup is mixed with the line for sit down, creating a bunch of confusions during peak times. read more

I had the 'Beef Koobideh Kabob' entree with Mediterranean salad and Basmati Rice. It was cooked perfectly, healthy, and satisfying, with that authentic Panini Kabob Grill flavor I've come to love. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. The restaurant itself is spacious, clean, and well-organized. The service was outstanding. A huge shout-out to our server Angel...he was amazing, super attentive, helpful with the menu, and ensured we had a wonderful dinner. My coworkers and I patiently waited for this location to open because we heard great things about this restaurant and it quickly became a favorite. We order takeout at least once a week, and every single experience has been consistently great. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. My favorite is the chicken kabox and chicken pesto panini with a chicken soup on the side, soooo good! The staff is always incredibly friendly, welcoming, and efficient, they now know us by name. Our orders are always ready on time and exactly right, which makes the whole experience easy and enjoyable. The staff, particularly our waitress (Esmeralda), took it all in stride and kept us on track, so we ordered, received our food, had our drinks refilled, and had boxes (so many boxes because there was so much food!). We were boisterous and needy, yet Esmeralda kept her composure and was cheerful and professional. She also took photos of our table for us. The service was great. Went Saturday and again had the misfortune of bring served by Elizabeth. We were a party of 6 and had taken friends who'd never had panini kabob grill before. We were embarrassed when the service was off to a bad start. Elizabeth had us follow her to a table and then she placed our menus down and walked away. It took a while for her to return to our table to take our drink orders. Even when she engaged her demeanor was cold and almost annoyed as if she didn't want to be at work. We ordered drink and she placed all of them in front of two first time guests. So our friends were the ones who had to pass out the drinks to the rest of the table. When Elizabeth finally returned to take our order it had taken so long we omitted ordering appetizers as we feared it would take forever to get them. We ordered two family meals and Nate brought our salads over. He realized we hadn't been provided plates or utensils so he also brought those over. When the food came out it was again Nate who brought it over but the kabobs were warm not hot, possibly from sitting at the window for a while. Nate was really kind so we didn't want to give him a hard time and decided to let it slide as the food was still enjoyable. The chicken was especially tender which was a nice plus. Our friends really enjoyed the meat, chicken, veggies and rice. They were impressed with the quality and quantity of the food. About half way through our meal Elizabeth finally reappeared to ask if we needed anything. We finally requested our first and only refills as all the drinks were empty by this point. We were frustrated with the lack of service on her part and commented on how Nate the supervisor seemed to be doing most of the work. I even saw a customer sitting in the corner who waited almost 20 minutes to order because Elizabeth kept walking past her. It wasn't until the solo customer started tapping the menu on her head that Elizabeth noticed her again... Later I had to get up to request more peppers are we couldn't get Elizabeth's attention. A short time later she noticed we were finishing up our meal and brought the bill and some boxes. Due to the amount of left overs we had we needed more. When I got her attention to ask for more boxes she saw the tab was ready to be paid in cash so she immediately dashed to pick up the tab. She brought back the changed and left it at the table without saying anything and forgot the additional boxes. I decided we'd had enough of her disregard and disrespectful behavior so when Nate walked by we asked to speak to him. While we spoke with Nate Tonisha had shown up and started her shift. The super woman she is she had immediately began to clean up the mess that had been left by a party behind us that left 45 minutes earlier. Suddenly I also noticed Elizabeth suddenly began sweeping and checking on her remaining tables. Her behavior shifted as if she wanted to seem more productive than she had been the past hour. Elizabeth seemed to over hear our conversation with Nate because when she walked past our table she glared at our party. After we spoke to Nate who apologized for the experience not being up to standard Tonisha also stopped by. She remembered us from our previous visits and also extended her apologies. We told her Nate and herself were excellent leaders who set a great example but we understand that some people simply don't care. Both Tonisha & Nate welcomes us back and promised the next visit would be exceptional and encouraged us to remind them if there is someone else we'd like as a server. Nate even offered to personally help us on our next visit. As the food is great, parking ample and seating usually readily available we like this location. The food is always fresh, delicious and good quality. I highly recommend this location however equally emphasize to avoid being served by Elizabeth if customer service matters to you. All in all if not for Tonisha and Nate salvaging the visit and leaving our first time friends with a great impression they could of lost business of potentially new customers. I would love to hear back from the district manager or owner so that we can emphasize how wonderful Nate & Tonisha are... but also address Elizabeth's pattern of poor customer service. read more

I ended up with a tray of tofu, that was mistaken for salmon on the paper internally from the host but was it absolutely worth every bite. I'm a tofu fan but this was the best I've ever had. The texture, consistency and over all flavor you'd be surprised when you found out it was tofu! The trays came with perfectly cooked rice. Grilled veggies, pita and the best hummus I've ever eaten packed full of garlic. I'll be hunting this out when I'm back in the region again. read more

Didn't really enjoy my visit here. I walked in and there wasn't anyone at the front so I went to the register and stood around for a bit. One of the staff told me to "Sit anywhere free" so I did so, until another server came to me and asked me to move to another seat. Not a big deal but why? After that I ordered which was fine. It took some time for my food to come out, but not egregiously. I would say 15 minutes. I got the beef koobideh kabob plate. The koobideh kebab skewers themselves were okay, not super flavorful. The rice was small in quantity, made up for by a large amount of salad. The yogurt sauce it came with was pretty good. Overall I wasn't that impressed by the food but it was serviceable. Service was fine, a little chaotic despite the fact that the restaurant wasn't that busy. The main annoyance I had was that when I was paying, they handed me a console and then it brought up tip options: 15%, 20%, 25%. I usually tip 20% but I always find it a bit cringey when your servers stare at you point blank while you pick a choice, worse that the console only had 3 choices with no custom option. They catered to our needs and the food was delicious. We ordered a variety of things kebab rice salads pastas a couple of bottles of Pinot Grigio which complimented the meal nicely. I have to mention this , our server Polly was absolutely adorable and she hustled. She kept a smile on her face while handling all 16 of us. She is a huge compliment to your restaurant. Horrific Customer Service - Unprofessional and Completely Disrespectful I have been a loyal customer of Panini Kabob Grill for over 8 years. I have dined at almost all of their locations, and as someone with professional experience in the food and hospitality industry, I know exactly what good service and food quality look like. Sadly, my experience today (Sunday, July 12th) at the Culver City location (inside the Westfield mall) was hands-down the worst treatment I have ever received in any restaurant. When we arrived, we politely asked the waitress if we could sit at a table of our choice. She flatly and rudely denied our request. When we asked for the reason, her hostile response was literally, "It is what it is." When I criticized her unacceptable attitude, the waitress--whose name is Alisent--became incredibly disrespectful. She pointed her finger at me and aggressively told us to go stand over there and wait for the manager. When the manager finally arrived, things only got worse. Instead of handling the situation professionally or apologizing for the waitress's blatant disrespect, the manager was completely unhelpful and dismissive. To make matters worse, Alisent immediately went over to the rest of the staff, whispered to them, and they all started mocking and laughing at us right in front of our faces. To top off this petty and vindictive behavior, they told us we would have to wait 40 minutes just to be seated, purely to spite and annoy us. At that point, completely frustrated and insulted, we walked out. We ended up driving to the Marina Del Rey branch instead, where the experience was night and day compared to this toxic location. I am uploading the receipt from the Marina Del Rey branch as proof of our visit today, along with photos, to show the stark contrast. Management at the Culver City branch needs to seriously re-evaluate their staff. Alisent and the manager on duty showed a complete lack of basic human decency and professional training. After 8 years of loyalty, I will never step foot into the Culver City location again. Absolute disgrace. read more

I love Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern food. In fact, the Cava by my house is my new go to spot. However, there is a Panini Kabob Grill in what I know as the Fox Hills Mall near my Mother's house and I actually think it's better than Cava. I've been there twice now and both times the food was excellent, the portions are massive, and the prices are right. The last time I went, I ordered a falafel plate that came with 10 falafels, salad, pita, and massive portions of hummus for 12 bucks. When you order a falafel bowl at Cava you get two falafels for like 16 bucks. I've also had their paninis which are equally as good. If I had one gripe about this place it would be that it is slow. Now I've only been there on Tuesday evenings which is a slow time, so I get that they would staff accordingly. Considering that this is a chain, I'm also not sure if this is the same at all locations, but honestly the food is good enough to look past the slow service. The service is friendly, just don't expect to catch a quick bite here. Honestly, if I had a choice, I'd choose this place over Cava almost every time- unless I was in a hurry. read more
