First time here at this little Italian restaurant and all I can say it was delicious! I had the ravioli with three cheeses and the vodka sauce and I asked that the vocal sauce the extra spicy and they did just that! My daughter had the salmon fettuccine Alfredo. OMG delicious. They have a fairly nice wine selection hot bread butter the salad salads are wonderful very fresh. I had the salad with the dates and apples with the homemade balsamic vinegar dressing out of sight. I highly recommend this restaurant it's in Los Angeles in the marina. A little small place but it's worth it trust me. I don't have pictures because I couldn't wait. For 4 meals and 4 drinks the bill was under $100 - which in 2025 is a steal! 2 orders of carbonara (one with mushrooms) - and they use guanciale!!! First time at a place like this. When you arrive, you have to ring a doorbell for service. Not sure if it's strictly takeaway or if anyone actually dines in. They did have tables to sit, however the place was empty. When someone came to the table to take my order, it felt like I was bothering them by trying to place an order. I didn't know exactly what I wanted right away, and they seemed pretty annoyed about that. I am surprised by the low rating that this restaurant currently has of a 3.6. I gave it a five and my group has come back numerous times. A neighborhood restaurant there has been around for double digit years, has good food and good prices and good service. The kitchen is in the center of the restaurant and I guess some people are bothered by that and by the potential noise, but this is an excellent restaurant. read more

I used to love this place. I know is tough in the restaurant biz. After covid, the restaurant started to charge for extra bread. That was then. Now ,they are very busy all the time. Before we were going to go for dinner I called, and asked, ARE YOU STILL CHARGING FOR EXTRA BREAD ??? The answer was yes, $4.00 extra. Well ,when Business was show ,O.K. but now they are doing very well. This extra charge would normally go towards a tip. Enough is a Enough. Im tried of being nickel and dimed here. I had a lot of hesitation due to the lower rating. It was actually my son who had eaten here before with my ex who had suggested it. I ordered for him but, only purchased some apps for myself (Italian meatball and cheese focaccia). I'm very particular with my Italian food as I was raised in a restaurant family and had Italian chefs preparing authentic dishes for me. While not totally authentic, the food was incredibly delicious. I have since ordered multiple dishes from them and dined in their cozy restaurant conveniently located in playa del Rey. Went last night, a Monday. I was worried about getting there 45 minutes before closing but everyone was welcoming. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi, my friend the lasagna. The scampi was delicious, the pasta was just right and the shrimp was tender and good sized. The bread was delicious also. So many restaurants overcook shrimp and give you hard bread. Very interesting entrance and slim walkway to the back of a restaurant. It was a small area, so groups would not be seated in that area. It was quiet but not intimate unless you whispered, you could hear other parties' direct conversation. (Be mindful of Tone in here) I ordered the California Pasta or the Pomodoro Basilico with angel hair. The flavor was light. I added some sauce from my friends order. My friend ordered the frutti di mare. O m G. I'm not sure what is in the sauce, but it was so flavorful and warm. read more

My lasagna was frozen in the middle, which told me that they only cooked the outside, and (more importantly) it was purchased premade, frozen, and just needed to be warmed up. That is NOT fresh. I work in the food industry and cooking some fresh lasagna is not that difficult. This means that most, if not everything, on their menu is prepackaged, pre cooked industrial bulk purchased ultra processed garbage food. It took nearly 10 minutes to get the attention of my server, once I did, she took my plate and the fork that was on that plate, a "fresh" lasagna came to my table 20 minutes later...but no fork! Now I have to sit at my table and stare at my food as it gets cold. Because it took nearly another ten minutes to flag the server down and give me a fork. And I would be understandable if it was busy, but it wasn't. It was a slow night, but I guess it was too difficult to make sure the patrons are happy and for the servers to do their job. So...frozen premade food and apathetic and horrible service. I will never return to this place. Avoid this place at all costs. Go to Alejo's down the street, it's a far superior restaurant. read more

My girlfriend and I had a great experience at Little Italy Kitchen in West L.A. near LAX. The only downside was the parking situation - whatever you do, don't park in the KFC parking lot unless you want your car to be the next meal on their menu! The staff was fantastic, especially my waiter who had to deal with my inability to pronounce a simple dish. He was patient and didn't even roll his eyes when I butchered the name. The Italian dishes that we ordered were well-made. The cream sauce was so good, I wanted to bathe in it. The salad was fresh and the portions were huge. However, be prepared to shout your order because this place gets loud, even when it's only half full. I felt like I was in the court trying to have a conversation. Little Italy Kitchen is the place really decent Italian food which I'll make an Italian mother proud. Just make sure you brush up on your pronunciation skills before you go! read more

I forgot to review this place. I just plain forgot. Italy's Little Kitchen was something I'd see on the regular when I was in college nearby. I said "see," because I'd just drive by it on the regular. I didn't know anyone who went here, so I didn't have any opinion of it one way or the other. It could have been that they didn't have a lunch buffet. That was important! But Paco's Tacos did ... so, while they were on the same street at one point, I certainly knew what the inside of Paco's Tacos looked like. Oh yes I did. Then, it was also a big deal to eat at El Torito's in the Marina (del Rey) where you sort of felt more like a real adult just by being there because you're but a late teen during your first two years of college. But, (my friends and) I would routinely go to Bob's Big Boy in Playa del Rey a lot, because it was good and cheap, and always ordered "the combo." I ate well at Italy's Little Kitchen. I had gnocchi in a pesto sauce. The portion size was to my liking because if it hadn't been, you'd be hearing about it. (I never go back to places that skimp, hence fine Continental cuisine is often useless to me.) I had a soft drink. I also snacked on the bread that they brought out with balsamic to dip it in. I truly don't know or remember how Italian this really is. Bistro-like Italian restaurants here do it, while some of the more Eye-talian eateries bring out potent garlic butter. I believe that, in Italy, they just bring out bread and butter. Also, to add a pedantic (and charm school) element to this review, it is considered very crass to dip your bread in the sauce of your pasta dish, no matter how good that sauce might be. It would make you a "cafone." The girl who was my server was really friendly. They weren't that busy and she shared a lot of insights and facts about the current state of affairs in the 90045 and adjacent areas. Boy. how things have changed. I also learned that the tide has turned. When I was in school, the university but a few blocks away was generally referred to as Loyola. Nowadays, that brings about a delayed reaction because it is more apt to be referred to as LMU. That's how she referred to it in conversation. Moving right along with the yada yada part, the pricing was appropriate and the interior was bright with big windows that allowed me to look across the way at some very expensive apartments. And, surprisingly, I didn't get indigestion from doing so. Doing the Yelp rating thing with this place is a weird one. Italy's Little Kitchen is clearly a 4 star kind of place, but because SoCal has so many eateries of so many different ethnicities, I'd want to keep learning about new ones, even though I do tend to return to old haunts. But I do feel Italy's Little Kitchen does deserve 4 stars. read more

My issue is how was the 4 cheese ravioli $16.95 for 5 ravioli's?? The value just wasn't there. I ordered tiramisu as well and it was such a small piece.
