Best things: Sauces are really tasty and add to the meal. The chicken and rice were good, but nothing too exciting. Service was nice and order came up quickly. It's clean and spacious inside. The sides on the menu didn't entice me. At least I liked the rice. The spicy hummus was just ok if not a bit on the chalky side. With tax and tip the chicken plate was about $20 and the size of the meat portion was so smol small. Tiny pita too. There's some other Mediterranean spots in the area I would probably choose next time.

Santorini Bowl and Falafel

Luna Grill is a solid option for a fresh, build your own Mediterranean meal. You can choose a bowl or plate with a kebab-style protein, two sides from a Mediterranean-focused selection, and sauces, or go with one of their recommended combinations. It feels very similar to Cava in both format and flavors. I ordered the Santorini Bowl with chicken, which had a great balance of grains, veggies, and sauces. A little bit of everything, and it all worked well together. Fresh, healthy, and tasty, making it an easy and reliable choice.

Chicken Kabob & Koobideh Kabob Plate

Stopped in and ordered their chicken kebab plate with chickpeas and Greek salad, added a beef Koobideh for good measure. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, everything was fresh and nicely prepared. The chicken kebabs had a nice char and the meal was overall very satisfying. Portions size was just right. Fast friendly service and very chill relaxed dining space.

This is one of my favorite places for a quick healthy bite to eat. Luna Grill always has fresh food, healthy choices, veggie options. It's not like you're one of the mill fast food place. I feel like they take their time making it. I'm always greeted and treated well it's always clean and there's always people in here not a lot but they have a lot of to go orders too. It's just one of my go to is when I'm hungry... And I always like the music that's playing.

The food was great! I had their chicken kabob plate and it was good. I don't know if this is because I took it to go, but the portion size seemed a bit small for its price. Hence, why I'm giving it four stars. Everything else, though, service was great, the staff were nice, and the ambience is nice. Very quiet place, you can sit indoors or outdoors. I would like to go back there and try their other stuff.

Gyro Meat Plate

Free parking in the lot behind, they also have free parking on the side streets. Huge patio space In front. Immaculate cleanliness and bathroom smells like a bath and body works store. As for the food I got the gyro lamb beef and the beef roll. I believe it's the same price but the beef roll is way more juicy flavorful and charred well. Highly recommended the beef roll here it's essentially a beef kabob.

My second time here and worth the hype! I tried the Santorini bowl and added extra kale with a side of the chipotle sauce. It was GAS! My new favorite takeout spot. The staff was very friendly, and I love that the space is right next to the parking lot so it's a breeze to get to and park. Very important when you live in LA! I can't wait to come back soon!

Do you have a large selection of gluten free options? For example, if we order hummus, would you be able to include veggies instead of pita? Also, do you use soy in any items? Thank you!

Hi there! Yes. Luna Grill has ton of gluten free options. You can order hummus with a side of sliced raw veggies. They have the nutritional info/allergen guide for menu items with and without soy listed on their website: https://lunagrill.com/menu

I was particularly impressed by the menu, which has plenty of options for vegetarians and vegan diets and a great selection of salads. My husband ordered the breakfast with pancakes and it was delicious! I wouldn't necessarily call it the friendliest service I've experienced, but the food is excellent. I've witnessed him being rude to multiple other customers, he will rip the salt off your table, will start slamming chairs around you and give you a death stare! And even though I brought it up to the manager and to other employees, nothing has been done and he still works there. He absolutely ruined this place for me that I used to patron for over a decade. Awful move! And even worse to ignore that this is happening when you've been told multiple times. The other employees are cool, the food is decent, and the manager I thought was awesome, but they are completely ignoring this issue and it needs to be addressed . That guy needs to go! They will lose more patronage.

tl;dr skip the much-hyped beef tongue; the delicious koobideh far outclasses it in flavor and value…read more To the unsuspecting eye, Attari Sandwich Shop is a hole in the wall on a busy block of Westwood. But those in the know recognize that Attari's enclosed plaza is the epicenter of Tehrangeles, the Los Angeles Persian community. Attari (referring to a traditional apothecary in Persian) opened in 1979 as a sundry shop before shifting its focus to counter-service eats. Across the broad menu, the Beef Tongue Sandwich has been Attari's best-selling item for decades, and it's routinely ranked among LA's must-try sandwiches. Attari's entrance is tucked around the corner on Wilkins. A corroded metal gate separates the street and sidewalk from the spacious, inviting patio. Colorful umbrellas spring from sturdy tables, and large potted plants are pressed against nearly all available wall space. The outdoor area is comfortably breezy and shaded, even in the summer. Additional seating is available inside the cramped, air-conditioned shop. The whitewashed walls are sparingly decorated with Iranian artwork and framed Attari accolades. Classic Persian-language tunes intermix with multilingual chatter. My partner and I visited for an early weekend dinner, and we were able to order immediately. We opted to share the signature Beef Tongue Sandwich and a Koobideh Kebob platter with Zereshik Polo (barberry specialty rice), and our food was prepared in about 10 minutes. The sandwich combined tender meat with a crispy roll and tangy pickles, but the result felt somewhat dry. Ultimately, it was a rich garlic aioli away from being heaven. Meanwhile, the koobideh (grilled ground beef) was addictively juicy and flavorful. The rice was generously loaded with dried barberries, but the uniquely sweet flavor was one-dimensional. The sangak flatbread fell flat; it served as little more than a conduit for more interesting ingredients. Our bill approached $50, and the portion size was large enough for leftovers. While the forgettable beef tongue wasn't worth the hefty price, the delectable koobideh dazzled -- it would be at the top of my hit list if I were to return.

Attari is hands down the BEST Persian sandwich shop in all of Tehrangeles. Not even close. The…read moresecond you walk in, it feels like stepping into old-school Tehran nostalgia mixed with modern LA energy. The sandwiches are unreal -- packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned, messy in the best way possible, and somehow taste exactly like the sandwiches we grew up with in Iran. Everything from the sauce combinations to the pickles to the bread tastes intentional and authentic. You can tell this place was made by people who actually understand Persian food culture instead of trying to "Americanize" it. The vibe is also perfect. Loud, chaotic, warm, nostalgic, cool without trying too hard. It feels like Iran and Los Angeles had a baby. As an Iranian, this place genuinely feels like comfort and home. Every time I go, I end up smiling halfway through the sandwich because it tastes like memories. Attari isn't just good Persian food -- it's Persian culture done right.
