    Spicy Veggie

After a game of mini golf, friends and I grabbed ramen in the evening. We had to wait for a little while on a Saturday evening to be seated. Service was still kind, immediate once we followed up after waiting perhaps a bit longer than needed. The ambiance inside was well lit, and there were plenty of slurping of noodles. The combination of meals offered are blessed. There is a window to view how the meals are prepared. You may see a flame erupt every now and then. I got a spicy veggie ramen. I really appreciate the variety of veggies used, and the soup was not heavy! It all paired well. God bless you all.

Went for Tuesday lunch and had a great experience. Prices were reasonable, and service was quick. I got the chicken karaage bowl with spicy aioli on the side--super flavorful and just spicy enough to make my nose run, so I added it sparingly. Also tried the Blaze broth--rich, spicy, and flavorful enough to make my nose water. The tofu had just the right texture, and the creamy broccolini was surprisingly rich and satisfying. Casual vibe, perfect for a quick and tasty meal.

Came here over the weekend for an early dinner. SERVICE - Seating was plentiful, and we were seated quickly. Our waitress was friendly and kind so it great service overall. FOOD Crunchy Roll - This was packed with flavor and tasted fresh. The rolls were huge, so the portion size was generous. Garlic Truffle Ramen - This had so much potential, but it fell flat. It wasn't bad but it just lacking in flavor. Karaage Bowl - Unfortunately, the chicken was drenched in sauce, which made it soggy instead of crispy. Overall, the food was just okay. Nothing stood out enough to make us want to come back.

Overall, this was a good experience, but there was one issue that kept it from being a full five stars. My friend and I both ordered ramen--she got the garlic ramen, and I ordered the Blaze ramen. Unfortunately, her noodles were very hard and stuck together, which really affected her appetite. We did let our server know, and while she mentioned bringing a little more noodles, nothing was ultimately done. At the time, my friend thought it was only a few pieces, but it turned out to be more than that. On the other hand, my Blaze ramen was great. The broth was flavorful and satisfying, and I had no complaints with my noodles. The only minor note on my dish was that the broccolini was a bit on the harder side, but everything else was really good.

Pork bowls and spicy chicken bun. All overly salted.

I've ordered Silverlake Ramen two times. The first time I ordered the chicken Karaage bowl and it was extremely salty. Gave it another shot months later getting pork bowls and a spicy chicken bun. I can confidently say the food here is overly salted, and this comes from someone who doesn't mind salt. The presentation on the food is nice but that's as far as it goes. I won't be back.

Absolutely disgusting! Trust me the ramen that you can make in a cup is 10x better and the service absolutely horrible to top it off. Everything is just slapped together here. I know real ramen I know mid ramen but this here is the worse! Chefs in the back clowning around and servers completely lazy! Yikes never again. I mean damn just a nasty fat piece of pork absurdly and 0 flavor!

This was second time eating at Silverlake. My first experience was pleasant enough and my friend was craving ramen. On a Thursday, we decided to do a little birthday celebration for her. We went up to the counter for assistance. The server asked how many and we were promptly seated and given menus. I had been worried it would be busy and we would have to wait but it wasn't. After looking over the menu, we decided go the appetizer + ramen combo. I got the blaze ramen with fried gyoza and my friend got the shoyu ramen with chicken Karage. We waited for a bit for our food. The server bought me my appetizer and ramen and my friend her ramen. Everything tasted good. After a while, we noticed that the server hadn't bought my friend's appetizer. We had to wait awhile for her to come to the dining area before we were able to say something. She hadn't heard that my friend had wanted the appetizer + ramen combo too so she added that to our check. After a bit, we got it. That was delicious. After we were full, my friend got a to go box for her ramen. According to my friend, the place was alright and she had better. I agree with her, it was fine.

Classic tonkotsu & Crispy Chicken Karaage

my favorite ramen place right now! I always go for the combo deal with the classic tonkotsu and the chicken karaage. It always tastes so good. I love the broth in the ramen & they genuinely have some of the best chicken karaage. My fiancé and I were so addicted that we were practically coming here once a week at one point. It can get packed sometimes but most of the time we get seated fairly quickly. :)

    Yummy!

These are popping up all over the place so I was intrigued to try. As far as Ramen goes, this is delicious. I got the shoyu on fire and my husband got a poke bowl. We also ordered edamame. I would definitely say this a great little lunch spot or a casual dinner spot. The restaurant was modern and very clean. Service was good. Check it out.

Came in today because I saw that this spot has a happy hour menu! I opted for a draft beer (Sapporo), the chicken karaage and a large spicy tuna bowl. Everything was delicious! The karaage chicken was a hit for me, it's cooked perfectly and the dipping sauce is so flavorful. The spicy tuna bowl was good. I added soy sauce and siracha to give it a little boost. I noticed at this location they seat you first and you order from the table which I like better compared to the chino location where you have to order at the counter first. It's a small space, trendy vibe and solid service.

The food is still 5 star but had some issues today as I went on lunch and usually have no issues. This time is seems as if they don't have enough help for as popular as it has gotten. By the time we received our food we had to ask for the check and boxes to get back to work. One of our ramen orders had pork when it should have been chicken as the person who ordered cannot have pork. No time to have it fixed so she went without lunch today. Also they say if you sign up for the app you can get a free drink or a topping but the waitress Alexa who was amazing btw very attentive and apologetic even though nothing was her fault said they were unable to do it but when the manager was there she would speak to them if you know that your app isn't working with your system don't advertise it. Great food just a poor experience this time.

My girlfriend and I come here fairly often because it's a convenient place to eat after work, and we've generally enjoyed it. Unfortunately, our last three visits have been disappointing due to missing items we paid for and poor customer service. Today, my girlfriend, her little sister, and I ordered three ramen bowls. My girlfriend is vegetarian and cannot eat meat because it makes her sick. She ordered the vegan ramen with extra noodles and requested that the toppings be served on the side, as I usually eat them. The second bowl was a Shio ramen with grilled chicken, and my bowl came out correctly. While waiting for our food, I watched the cook remove the chicken from the Shio ramen and place it into a separate bowl while wearing gloves. When our order was called, my girlfriend's vegan ramen still had the toppings on it despite our request to have them on the side. We politely pointed this out to the employee at the pickup counter and asked if it could be corrected. The employee responded with noticeable attitude, which was frustrating considering we were simply asking for the order to be prepared as requested. The bowl was handed back to the cook, who then removed the toppings by hand while still wearing the same gloves that had been used to handle the chicken. This raised concerns for us about cross-contact, especially given that my girlfriend avoids meat and can become sick from it. Because of that, my girlfriend only took a couple of bites before deciding not to finish her meal. Shortly afterward, she began feeling unwell. While I cannot say for certain what caused it, the situation was concerning and left us disappointed. We have enjoyed eating here in the past, which makes this review difficult to write. However, after multiple visits involving missing items, incorrect orders, poor customer service, and now concerns about food handling, I felt it was important to share our experience.

After perusing through the menu, which had quite a few blacked out items (black tape applied over the menu item) we both decided on the Tonkatsu Spicy Black Ramen Noodles as well a the Crispy Fried Rice appetizer... the appetizer was delivered but I had to request some small individual plates so that we could eat off of our own plate, rather than reaching over trying to share the same plate and making a mess on the table... no worries, small oversight (or so I thought at the time)... Next came the Ramen... Looked very appetizing, but again I had to get up and request a couple of soup spoons... went to dig in, and while the bottom of the bowl was warm, the broth itself was quite cold... after calling over the waitress and asking them to please reheat (even if they had to use the microwave)... the waitress took it back to the "open" kitchen and they used the microwave to reheat... The bowls were returned and as we started to eat, satisfied that the broth was indeed hot, we noticed a couple of items missing: the corn - no corn in the broth like it was described... in addition to that, no Wood Eared Mushrooms were in the broth either... the wood eared mushrooms set the "black" apart from the standard ramen and cost $.50 more per serving... when questioned about it, the hostess informed us that they didn't have any mushrooms... as a consolation, she offered us one of the "extra price" toppings in place if it... we opted for the tofu... a bowl of tofu pieces came out and although they appeared to have steam coming off of it, the tofu was cold as well... smh... The hostess returned them to to kitchen to be reheated... We received a 10% discount ($4.90 of of a $49 bill)... Not sure if they're going to make it with this level of service and food quality... There have been times the staff seems high and blown out of their minds. Other times they are too busy chatting up with coworkers to acknowledge or provide even the basic decency of customer service. Then, more often than not you are treated almost as a bother. Due to the service here, I have stopped dining in and opt for calling a phone order to take out. On three separate occasions now, within the last 3 months, they have neglected the phones for orders. They would rather disconnect or turn off the phone completely to avoid any future orders. This comes as a surprise when in about 10 minutes of my first attempted call, I see a staff of four people, yet only one customer. I believe there was no excuse as to why they could not answer the phone. I confirmed they accept take out orders essentially until closing. I have always been mindful to not attempt to order within 30 minutes of them closing. The service here is appalling and truly diminishes their potential for how great the spot could be considering the food they have. Food on the other hand is a total opposite of the service, very flavorful and strong punch of spice at a level 3. My go to is the Wonton ramen with a miso base. Crispy rice is a great starter to share. The garlic ramen is also a great contender if you have a garlic craving. Open layout feels like a mom and pop shop. Overall pretty clean establishment. Honestly most people know ramen expectations should be low when you order it as take out but i think they do a great job with how they package their takeout! I've tried their normal lemonade and their mango passionfruit sweet tea and personally i like their sweet tea more! The drink portion is nice and large! Definitely not overly sweet and it always hit with my ramen. I've tried most of their ramens, i like the fact that they have different style noodles. Personally i think their wavy noodles go better with the rich broths like the miso and the Tokyo style one (a mix of shoyu and tonkotsu ) and the straight noodles go god with their clear broth like the shoyu or the yuzu shio. I normally get their shoyu mostly because it gives me the least acid reflux, but that's nothing with their food it's just a health issue for me :( i would say my favorite is their Tokyo style broth. I think it has a nice balance of flavor and the wavy noodles just soak up that broth nicely. I've only had their appetizers on takeout so they're not super fresh, and not really a main stopper for me. The large is good but i wish it was a little bigger with the pieces. Sometimes they're just small and idk it feels like it's missing something. I got the opportunity to stop here yesterday after my tattoo, and the service was decent. Got seated quickly and my order taken quick as well. My food took a few minutes to be made but nothing crazy of a wait. Overall i had a good time, i do go on a Saturday around 7:30 pm so not sure if that matters. For take out i do recommend ordering min 30 minutes before pickup because i do feel like it can take a minute, but thats the nice part of take out that you can order in advance. I think for Eastvale/ norco ramen this place a nice broth and noodles. And it's not overly oily or salty :)
