Located in really cute location of the downtown area. Indoor and outdoor seating, pet friendly outside covered area. Servers were friendly and accommodating. Food was pretty good, and menu had good variety of burgers, sandwiches, and salads for lunch. My son was excited about the skinny fries lol. Tried the muffuletta panini which was good with sourdough bread (although I still prefer the traditional muffuletta bread). The burgers were good as well. Sadly couldn't even try this place as they set the chair on the edge where if you sit down... you immediately fall over. DANGEROUS and then didn't remove the seating so it could happen to someone else. read more

We come here almost every week. Service is great. Atmosphere is beautiful. Food is excellent. If there's a special that speaks to you, try it. Amber, Boyd, Carson, Johnny, and Maya are all wonderful. Some of the employees have been here for years, which says great things about Pete and the company in general. Panini Pete's is a fairhope institution. read more

This place is amazing! We have eaten here over the years and they continue to provide great food with top notch service. Their beignets are arguably better than what we got in New Orleans. The back yard courtyard is an ideal place to sit and relax even on 90+degree days. We even brought our dog and they could not have been more accommodating. If you are ever in Fairhope, don't miss this gem. We are already planning to go back later this morning. read more

Hidden gem. Great outdoor ambiance for a lunch date with surrounding local shops. Dog friendly. Service was average. The red hair girl with braids is really friendly and a good server. The Petes Muffaletta Panino was nothing spectacular to be on the "top 100 in Alabama". It felt like a sandwich that could be made at home. The olive sauce was good, but could have been spread more thoroughly though the sandwich. The mozzarella sandwich would be better with spinach included. The bread was great though. I was disappointed in the side salad. It was a couple leafs thrown on a plate with a side of dressing and nothing else on it LOL. Overall, nice place, but food could improve. read more

I visited while on vacation last year and I still crave this place. Everything was amazing from the food to the courtyard setting. Even though our vacation was to Pensacola, Fl we planned to spent the last day of our trip in Fairhope, just because we'd seen Panini Pete on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives and Guy's Grocery Games so many times. It was definitely worth it! I had the house roasted turkey panini and and the beignets. I would definitely recommend both. Can't wait to go back again. read more

Now open for dinner Thu - Sat. Signature cocktail list. Pasta is all house made fresh. There is no comparison to a dish made with fresh versus dried pasta. We had Gulf Shrimp Scampi and Carbonara. Fresh chopped garlic, lemon and parsley in the Scampi. The Carbonara was the best I've had outside of Italy. We also had a meatball appetizer and a half order of bread that came with fresh Marzano tomatoes. Just absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back. They also give a 15% military discount! Pete has always been a huge military supporter. From his time with the Mess Lords doing USO trips to cook on at sea carriers to his displays inside his restaurants. Being from Louisiana and going often to New Orleans the French quarter vibe did not do it for me but it was cute. I was not very impressed with the menu but I should have looked at it before going as I was looking for traditional breakfast. Beignets were okay but nothing close to what I am used to. The breakfast sandwich was okay but nothing great. Giving it 4 stars because everyone was very friendly and helpful. My expectations were a little off base for the food, I would expect most people would think it was good. read more

We walked past this place, and one of the waitress, who was very polite, suggested we sit down and order because they were closing in two minutes. Boy, am I glad we did! I ordered a delicious turkey pannini, and my wife ordered and told our waiter "Hamp" that she was going to split it with my sister in law, and to our surprise he was smart enough to bring the Chicken Salad sandwich already split into two plates! Hamp was a very pleasant young man who was very pleasant and helpful for our first time in town. If I had a negative and had nothing to do with our fantastic service, it was the fact that we got charged for drinking water, of all things! We will definitely be back, but we may have to bring our own water! read more

I think this place is way overrated. Went on a weekend and they were out of beignets. Super bummer. I got the turkey panini which was supposed to be one of the best things on the menu. It was terribly dry and flavorless. I got a green salad as my side- it was just ok- and my companions got French fries which they said were very good. None of us were wowed. I'd skip it. read more

5 star beignets, that is the entire review. These are certainly not Cafe du Monde beignets- the ones at Panini Pete's are miraculously airy and light. It's seriously an incredible bite. I was astounded. The dough was hot and gave the slightest familiar savory buttery flavor that a good doughnut has. I did not try the lemons that came with it, in fact I found it a little odd but I'm sure some people would swear by it. Meanwhile, I'll swear by just the beignets. read more

When traveling, we like to find D,D,D's places. Per Guy's recommendation, we stopped at P.P's for lunch. This place is a GEM! The beignets are absolutely delicious - with or without the lemon wedge, but my, oh my, its a must (& tasty) try! I ordered the fish special. It was a seared tuna sandwich. The sauce was phenomenal. The flavors made the sandwich spectacular. The waiter was super helpful with all my dairy-free questions and offered suggestions for substituting. We ate in the atrium for the cute atmosphere and to enjoy the outdoors without the wind. Really good! We sat outside underneath the shade w the high of 98 today and it was fine! The fans helped along w the cups full of ice water! My daughter and I ordered the seared tuna. It was about 4oz at the most, served with rice( or a bad risotto) and three baby carrots. The tuna special was $45.00 a plate. We were extremely underwhelmed . By the time we ordered and got our food was about 1.5 hours and the food tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for quite some time. I've had much better Tuna at Kravers and the Oyster House for about half the price. I would rate this place a 3 out of 10.

If you're traveling through the Mobile Bay area, you need to stop by Pete's for breakfast. Eating in the greenhouse, in Fairhope's French Quarter, was one of the greatest surprises I've ever encountered on my worldwide travels. It was unexpected and delightful. The experience is whimsical and the food is even better. Their beignets are unreal, out of this world, forget about it. The ooey-gooey inside and that lemon juice on top... flavor bomb! Love, love, love! Has a New Orleans vibe. The food and service were excellent. Enjoyed sitting in the courtyard by the fountain. There is also indoor seating if you don't want to sit outside. We had the panini burger, tomato basil soup, avocado and mozzarella panini and the muffuletta. All were delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant. We were a group of six. Got seated pretty quickly. The waitress took our drink order (4 water/ 2 pop), took forever to receive drinks. When the food arrived the fries on all 4 plates were cold. The roasted turkey panini was dry and barely had any condiments on it, only one little strip of red pepper on it. Didn't eat the other half. The harvest salad was delicious!! read more
