Arrived about 1230, staff kindly gave us a handheld menu. We were joined by other family members and ordered at 1245, our order was ready at 130pm. Business was steady, but it just seemed a little excessive on the time to fix and bake two pizzas. We had the garlic chicken, a small and it was really not that great. Where's the garlic? This is a great family owned business. Toppings are a plenty. Hint order more than one topping. The thin crust is a staple product here and has been this way for over 50 years. They are a good pizza in their own way and a definite change from the usual franchise pizza places. If you like pizza this is a great place to try. The crust was wonderfully crispy and piled high with toppings. Price was reasonable. We ate in, and the restaurant is definitely 50+ years old, but a fun old-school vibe. On the website said they closes at 10pm. But when We called in at 9:41pm to place a pick up order. They asked to put me on hold for 5 minutes, and when the employee (Patrick) came back. He told me that they're not taking anymore orders for the night with an extremely rude attitude. How unprofessional, a well trained employee would've been informed their customers before placing them on hold for a whole 5 minutes. Very disappointed in the food. Thin crust which is reviewed as amazing in so many reviews- it was terrible. We did the meat lovers and it was bad. Ordered chicken wings- please don't! They were soggy and felt like they warmed them up in the microwave and served them, so gross. The garlic cheese bread- this was interesting; it was like a slice of toast with cheese thrown on it. I lived in the coastal bend for 23 years and LOVE panjos pizza. Yesterday, 4/26/2020, I drove two hours to buy this pizza since I haven't had it in awhile and it was not worth it at all!!! After a 40 min wait time the pizza was cold, dripping grease, all of the olives were piled up in the middle and it was super small. It was supposed to be large but looked like a small. I am very displeased for 18.99. Complete waste of money and time. I will NEVER return to this establishment. Not to mention the girls were extremely rude. I've been coming to panjos for years but haven't been in awhile. I took my family to eat there today and it definitely is not what it once was. The pizza was a charred cracker wjth a little cheese sprinkled on it for good measure. A large pizza is about 12 inches in diameter.Definitely overpriced and not worth the long wait. Had a pepperoni and onion pie tonight with my friend. He had never been there (unreal) and I had not been in a good while. So crispy and oily tasty good. Was gonna eat one slice only, but finished my half. May have to go more often. This is a pricey pizza and the prices aren't listed on the menu in the restaurant. We even asked for the price and the employee just said it depended so we didn't find out until after we ordered. The employee recommended extra cheese for the meat lovers pizza and it was super greasy and had way too much cheese. The crust is crunchy all the way through on the bottom. This makes it easy to pick up and it but it was impossible to cut for our toddler with the plastic utensils they have there. It's an okay pizza but not worth the $23 price tag. read more

Out of the past 5 visits I've had at place, 4 of them have taken over an hour and a half long to get my food. One time I was on hold for over 15 minutes while I was on my way to Panjo's because I was trying to get the order started before I got there. I stood in line and ordered my food while still on hold. Also they do not enforce people to wear masks. The one time I ate here was a few months back and it really wasn't anything special. Not worth waiting so long for it. Most of the time I walk into the restaurant, there is visible smoke and smells like they just got done burning a pizza. We are new to Corpus and this pizza was recommended to us by many so we tried it last night for the first time (a Friday night around 5:30 pm). All I can say about the pizza is WOW! I am not exaggerating to say it's the best pizza we've had in YEARS. Simply fantastic from crust to toppings and everything in between. That being said, the reason I gave them a 4 is because the live music was simply WAY too loud. I love live music as much as the next person, but we literally had to shout at each other to talk and were constantly saying "what?!" across the table because we couldn't hear. There was definitely a lot of it. The employees who took our order and brought out the garlic bread were friendly. That's a plus. The pizza was just...not. It tasted similar to frozen pizza. The crust was certainly thin, but it was tasteless and bland. The sauce was plentiful but way too sweet for our liking. The pepperoni itself was good. Maybe it's just a preference thing. They've been around for a long time so they apparently are popular here. We just weren't fans and we won't be back to give them another try. If I bring an outsider they cannot understand my raves about what we are eating. I will go to these places every time I am in town and I love them. Or maybe all locals....several people from Corpus seem to love this joint. We started to think Corpus just doesn't have GOOD food after our experiences on this trip -- people rave about something and it's only ok at best. This was one of those places. The toppings, however, did not taste fresh and the pizza we got was so greasy it made Pizza Hut look good. Seriously - napkins to dab up the orange grease kinda situation. The garlic cheese bread was some lame hot dog bun looking bread with white cheese and a hint of garlic on top. They're served in a basket all leaning on one another. By the time they got to us they were cold and soggy. If you've got a hankerin' for pizza and want to try something local rather than a chain, I recommend it -- it's not gonna kill you to eat this stuff -- it's just not good enough for me to want to do it again. I have frequented Panjos for the last 20+ years. I grew up going to this place. The Pizza was always the best. After being away from Corpus fpor many years, i came back and was soooo happy to to find that the recipe hasn't changed. Although new owners,,,I applaude them for not changing anything..I must say that panjo's has set the bar for pizza. At least for me. I have lived in many cities and states and have yet to find a pizza place that offers the wonderful pizza that Panjo's offers. I look forward to my next visit to CC,TX and can order 3 large pizzas. Like the other reviewers, I too grew up coming here with my parents. It's one of my first choices for a "Forced Family Fun Night". I'll tell my age and say I've been coming here for over 30 years. I remember being six years old and my parents bringing me and my brother here. It's not fancy. It's walk up ordering and food pick-up. The BEST part about Panjo's is that comfort of tasting a bit of one's childhood. How often can you do that? We almost always get pepperoni pizza which is so beyond cheesy and loaded with pepperoni. At other places you would have to order double meat to get this much pepperoni. The menu is quite extensive -- including large, generous salads, awesome sandwiches and burgers. Not too long ago a friend and I popped in for lunch and had the sandwiches~ generous portions! I had to take part of it home! It's a great place to bring the kids! There is a large picture window into the kitchen so the kids can see the pizza being made. And be sure to come on a Friday or Saturday night! Bubba will be there to play the piano and passes out sheet music beforehand so everyone can sing along!. Don't be surprised to see a birthday party going on either. Any night of the week, it will either be a kid party or a kid-at-heart party. If you want a home-town experience, this is the place to come. read more

I am a huge fan of pizza. Any pizza, really. While I could die for a good thin crust, I am perfectly happy with the extra cheap multi-national chain pies. That said, I could not possibly bear to eat another slice from Panjo's. I ordered one of my favorites: mushroom, pineapple, and green olive (for some reason, it always tastes like spring to me). There was not a single topping that didn't look and taste like it was found in an unlabeled can at the back of a long forgotten pantry. The crust had good intentions, but was burned and hard enough to make it difficult to eat. I will say that the atmosphere was nice. I like the layout of the place. Classic pizza joint.
