Awesome nail salon in Kent! I live just down the street from this place and it's my go to place, not just because of convenience but also because of service and quality. Everyone is very friendly here and the atmosphere is great. It does get pretty busy at times so calling ahead doesn't hurt! I always get long coffin shaped acrylics! Before hand they used to only charge me 25 for the long set (base price) but now they charge me 30 which is still better compared to other places I've been to. Only thing is that sometimes my nails aren't evenly cut when glued onto my actual nail, so on one hand it may be a bit longer than the other and that the ends are uneven. But the shape is consistent and these nails stay on forever! The pink and glittery full set is from back in the summer and I loved this combo ! The clear pink is a full set shellac I got done recently which cost 45 I believe. The shellac really lasted a long time as I've had these nails for three weeks now with no chips or fading. Service is stellar here and while they do work quick they are efficient. read more

Have you ever seen that comedy bit by Anjelah Johnson about nail salons? I can totally identify with the part where she jokes about ending up with one janky nail that points off in the wrong direction - that ALWAYS happens to me. Except here! I work at a computer all day, and I have small kids, so I keep my nails on the short side. Needless to say, when one looks janky, it really stands out. This place is the worst place I have ever been. I went in for a regular manicure and came out with massacred nails. I had dip, which I am aware will weaken my nails but how you take it off matters! They never consulted and when she started peeling them off with force I asked if filing and soaking would help (because I have done this before (and aware of the outcome) she said "this is how we do it." I'm mad that I didn't leave because I know if I had gone somewhere else I would have had better nails in the end. I don't think the picture does it justice. This is my go to spot to get my nails done when I'm in Kent. They have a wide selection of colors, especially in Shellac. All of them do a great job but I always have My do my pedicure- the massage is everything!!! I also like how there's not much of a wait time because they have a lot of workers, so that's always nice. The place is nice and clean. There was one time I did not like how my nails came out (it was shellac- think it was a new worker too) but of course I was in a rush so there was no time to fix them. The owner apologized and told me to come back and she'll do my nails for me. I went back in the next day and she hooked me up. My nails came out nice and lasted long too! read more

I came in for shellac manicure (not a full set) I probably had almost every finger cut up by the technician. I kindly asked her not to cut my cuticles anymore as I started to bleed and she responded along the lines of "your skin is too dry" yes that could be the case but again I asked her not to cut if it was too dry. Not to mention she ended up scolding me for "keeping my nails too short" for the record they were normal length and not everyone wants super long nails.. Same went for my pedicure. The technician cut so deep into my toenails and blamed it on an "ingrown toenail"... funny thing is a few days later my toenail has a pulse coming from it as it got infected... overall it was not a good experience and my gel manicure stained super fast and chipped within a week. Eh not work $60 for cut cuticles, swollen toenail, and chipped manicure. read more

Got exactly what I asked for, beautiful nails. However, I advise anyone with sensitivities to salon products to avoid this place. Last year I got acrylics and experienced similar issues at this salon. Around my fingers I would get itchy bumps, very small but noticeable, not to mention uncomfortable. Went a year without them, it went away and I got them done again somehow forgetting about this. Also, my skin under my nails was peeling! You can see how disgusting it looks. It felt like a bandaid had been under my nails, making the skin so moist and easy to rip off. All of my fingers had this, my thumb pictured the worst. My skin ripped all around my thumb. I don't have sensitive skin, I have no idea why this place has this issue for me. Could not keep my acrylics on for more than 13 days, which is ridiculous for $35. I took them off today at another salon and it was excruciatingly painful. They also seemed annoyed with me when I somehow got a tiny spec of red polish on my orange finger and asked before i left if they could fix it. I have been going here for 6 months. I regularly see Van. She does amazing work, her application of acrylic is very even and smooth, she makes greatly shaped nails and also does nail designs. She works quickly and is very polite, the rest of the staff is very nice as well. They act very appreciative of tips and dont talk much amongst themselves. The environment of the salon is very calm and it's never very noisy there. This is my favorite nail salon in King county and I have been searching High and low for about two years now. STOP!! DONT COME HERE!!! STAY FAR, FAR AWAY! I came in to get a pedicure and they had me go to the foot bath, I put my feet in and then as the water is filling I'm noticing DEAD SKIN CELLS FLOATING IN THE WATER!!!!!!! It was disgusting! I flipped out and they didn't seem to care at all. I told them I'm reporting them to the health inspector. I hope all of the other women who were in there felt disgusting. There were several who were getting pedicures and I GAURANTEE their foot baths had DEAD SKIN CELLS floating in the water too. I recommend you check out Royal Nails in downtown Kent. I can't believe this place only has a 3 star overall rating. I have been driving from Auburn to Kent to see them for years. There are a few new people that do some things ok and other things not so great, but I have learned if I just tell them I don't like something they will absolutely fix it. Van's nail designs/drawings are fantastic. Mai does the best pedicures, with a leg massage that nearly puts me to sleep. And the owner Kathy will always make anything right if you are not happy. I would give 0 stars if that was an option. My mother went here this past week to get a pedicure. The lady rubbed the pumice stone into my moms ankle at the same time she was doing her feet. She rubbed the skin on ankle right off and caused it to bleed. Still charged my mom for the pedicure. When my mom went back a day later after extreme pain to show the owner she was blamed for moving during the pedicure (which she didn't... totally ridiculous). Anyways, stay away from here. I will absolutely never come back here again. The girl that did my nails was coughing so much, another coworker told her to put a mask on. During the time she was doing my nails, she would also stop to take cough drops, and not washing her hands! She also dripped lotion on the table, wipes it off, and still used it on my hands! Fantastic timely service! I was in the area and needed to get my shellac on, was super stoked to find a place so close. Very convenient location, close to the drug store and dollar store if you need to get random stuff and get your manicure out of the way! Staff was super friendly and did a great job with my nails. Atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing, and I am definitely happy with the staff and their competence. I've truly never been to a better nail salon. Their space is not only very clean, tidy and comfortable, but the staff was more than willing to squeeze me into the end of an extremely busy day. I'd had a botched gel manicure done the day before at a different salon and wanted it fixed so badly. They went above and beyond a regular gel manicure, gently removing the previously caked-on polish and buffing out my damaged nails from a former acrylic job. The gentleman who did my nails was careful, precise and very friendly. On top of that, I was charged nothing extra beyond the standard gel manicure price. Thank you for fixing my nails!!! read more

They did an amazing job on my set of french tip nails. The pedicure was phenomenal..she did extra massage on my feet i was so relaxed!! I also had eyebrows waxed and it was perfect!! All of that for only 52 dollars!! Unbelievably inexpensive for the superb quality of work!! He was also very quick and took the time to talk with me while he did my nails!! Panther Lake Nails has been my to go for nails place for way over 10 years but the experience I'm about to tell you I don't know if I can go there again? I wanted to give it a one star but I do love most of the gals there but these new two I've never seen before? I'll have to admit my nails needed grooming but the way my nails grow they never can cut them very short so therefore they look longer than most people. The gal who did them made me feel like it had been ages since I'd had them done and really it had not been that long. She commented to a lady that was doing someone else's nails on the other side of me and that lady has done my nails many times before but ignored her for quite awhile and said something to her and then she went along and did her business like normal. The lady that was so nice has a daughter who works there too and was always so pleased with how she did my nails Then a nail artist a couple of chairs to the left went outside for about 5 minutes with the smell of marijuana coming from her and went back to work on her customer. I wouldn't have liked to be the person who was having my nails done by her. Since when can someone be allowed to work on someone who is under the influence? I only been here once but I gotta say it wasn't a very good experience. I wanted to get acrylic, the guy that did my nails did it awfully painful and when he tried to glue my nails on it already started to come off when attempting to file. It started to look great afterwards but a day after one of my nails already broke:( within a whole week all of my nails started to come off. It was pretty much a waste of money. I'm not saying the place is bad but I'm saying it all depends on who you get. read more

I couldn't believe what was said to me! I told the lady doing my nails that I was pregnant (to make sure the products were safe). She responded, "Oh, I thought you just had a fat belly." I was speechless. If that wasn't bad enough, my manicure was uneven and my pedicure looked like I painted my toes while driving. I will not be returning to this place. read more
