Great ice cream... and pineapple whip. Fast service. Great food truck with even walking tacos.

Honestly, they won by default when other, closer cafes and diners weren't open yet for the day. It was surprising to me how many places in the downtown area didn't open until 10 or 11am. When we arrived, there were a few patrons already seated who appeared to be in construction or the like. The staff was upbeat and very chipper for it being 8am (not a bad thing). We were seated in a comfortable booth, but it was rather cold inside. I was happy that I had a sweater in the car. The restaurant was super clean and while the vibes are nostalgic, everything was up to date. The televisions were playing shows in black and white and the playlist was playing older hits. Our waitress let us know that both sides of the menu were available all day (breakfast and lunch). This was perfect for us because Hubs usually prefers breakfast and I am more lunch-leaning. On this day though, I opted for breakfast as well. I had the one-egg breakfast with bacon, wheat toast and fruit. My husband ordered the two-egg breakfast with bacon, french toast and applesauce. Everything came out lickety-split and was what you'd expect from a diner. Simple and sufficient. My husband had 2 cups of coffee. I had water with the good ice (iykyk). Our bill was given to us and the prices were decent. If we were in the area again, we'd definitely return. Sidenote: It was on a Thursday, and our waitress told us that in the evenings, between 4-8pm I believe, they have car shows out in the parking lot. Sounds cool!

We started with coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice, and you can immediately tell they don't cut corners--the OJ tasted bright, fresh, and totally worth it. Now let's talk about the food... because WOW. The Signature Pancake Platter was unreal--fluffy, golden, melt-in-your-mouth pancakes that honestly might be some of the best I've had. Adding the soft poached eggs took it to another level (that perfect yolk ), and the hash browns were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside--exactly how they should be. We also ordered the West Coast Omelet with feta, and it was packed with flavor--super fresh ingredients, cooked perfectly, and a generous portion. And yes... we had to add extra pancakes (no regrets), which were just as amazing the second time around. Shoutout to our server JJ, who was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Service like that really stands out. Everything came out hot, fresh, and quickly, and the portions are more than generous for the price. You definitely won't leave hungry. The benches were the only downside, it is definitely time to replace them! But tables were clean and cute inside. If you're anywhere near here and craving a top-tier breakfast or brunch, don't even think twice--this spot is a MUST. Already planning my next visit!

It's a typical "diner" menu with eggs, pancakes, French toast, and crepes. They also offer some sandwiches like burgers, chicken sandwich, wraps, and even a Greek gyro. I had a biscuit with gravy, eggs, and hash browns for just $10. I also tried the Hoosier tenderloin (breaded pork sandwich). The kids also loved their food. This is a great, affordable option in downtown Indianapolis. Check it out when in town.

However, I was disappointed that a portion of the automatically added 20% gratuity will be going to Jess W. I expected better service, especially with gratuity already included. When I asked if I could purchase a side of hash browns, I was willing to pay the additional charge. Instead, I was told there "was only enough for the hash browns on the burgers." The response felt dismissive, and there was no effort to see if another option was available or to provide a more customer-focused explanation. I understand that menu items may have limitations, but good service is about how those situations are handled. Unfortunately, the level of service I received today did not meet my expectations. I hope this feedback is shared so future guests have a better experience. Food was excellent, but go someplace else if you are looking for better service.

Same great staff, same cool space, same open kitchen where a party of one like me can grab a counter seat and watch the chefs do their thing. I've honestly always enjoyed that part of the experience. Today I had the avocado toast with feta and an egg on top, and it totally hit the spot. Earlier this week I tried one of the newer menu items -- fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, plus a sample of jalapeño cornbread and Asian slaw. Incredible comfort food. And as someone who normally isn't much of a slaw person, I was surprised by how much I loved it. They also tried to tempt me with the roast beef special, which honestly looked great, but at 10:30 in the morning I just couldn't fully commit to roast beef yet. Maybe next time. The new name is a nice tribute to the owner's mother, Arleen, but thankfully it still feels like the Milktooth so many of us have come to enjoy over the years. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been in awhile.

My husband ordered the steak omelet with hash browns and toast, and he said his food was very bland as well. We also ordered a side of refried beans. I will tell you right now. They are the best I've ever had assuming you like spicy beans they actually made my nose run and I love hot, anyway we'll be going back there again probably just for the Mexican, but the breakfast did look good on the menu I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wanted to try out a new Mexican menu or someone that wanted Mexican and someone that wanted a traditional breakfast they have both.
