Took a group of students to Indy for a conference and ate here a couple times. The food was very good with quick service. It's a typical "diner" menu with eggs, pancakes, French toast, and crepes. They also offer some sandwiches like burgers, chicken sandwich, wraps, and even a Greek gyro. I had a biscuit with gravy, eggs, and hash browns for just $10. It's no secret that I'm a big fan of the Lincoln Square Pancake House "chain" of Central Indiana-based breakfast/brunch joints. While I have no problem saying that some locations are better than others, or at least more consistent, when it comes down to it I'd have a hard time giving any of the locations less than a 4-star rating. Truthfully, I missed this location for quite awhile. While it's practically right across the street from my Government Center office, it's not a place I can easily get to since most of the time when I'm downtown I am, in fact, either working or going to an event. I think this is considered the Indiana State Teachers Association building. The building itself is pretty easy to find (though there is lots of construction going on around here). Lincoln Square has simple signage out front - you just have to figure out going into the building and accessing it rather than hoping you can find a streetside entrance (you can't). The good news is that it's worth the effort. The decor is warm and inviting. The people? I don't know how Lincoln Square does it, but they seem to always be able to find people who are geared toward warm, family-style customer service. Yes, again, some are better than others. However, I'm hard-pressed to think of a time when I've had a bad Lincoln Square experience. The Lincoln Square menu has a strong focus on breakfast. Lunch options are definitely available and you can get any of it during their breakfast/brunch hours. I tend to be pretty basic. I'll do pancakes or french toast most of the time. Sometimes, I'll do sausage as a side. Other times, I'll snag potatoes because I'm obsessed with potatoes. I'll always have an unsweetened iced tea. This location found friendly people, good service, and a casual but professional vibe I enjoyed. I got the french toast with hash browns. Hash browns are always a bit more of a commitment since they're not a usual side (so they cost more), but I find them worth it. Accessibility is pretty solid here other than the effort to find the place. There's no street or meter parking close here, so this really is the type of place you visit when you're already downtown working, shopping, or at a nearby parking garage (and there are several). I have to consider this to be a hidden gem in downtown Indy. I live closer to the Emerson and Shadeland locations, however, I definitely plan to come back to this spot when I get the chance. If you're in the mood for casual comfort foods and/or a fine breakfast (I'll admit I consider lunch to be just a notch lower overall at Lincoln Square), then this Market Street location of Lincoln Square is worth the effort to get here and to support a truly local breakfast/brunch chain. read more

This was a great spot to grab breakfast before leaving Indiana. It's within walking distance of the Conrad Hotel, where we stayed. This was a plus so we didn't have to worry with the hassle of trying to find parking. They were very busy, but we didn't have a wait time. It's well worth the wait though. For the portion size we received it's worth every penny. This diner had fairly decent seating and was filled with laughter and conversation from all the patrons within. While the west side of Capitol Ave. is responsible for the latter, the east side, although not making it, certainly serves wonderful sausage along with many other tasty diner plates at Lincoln Square Pancake House. I've eaten at other locations, and this one certainly meets the same standard. Very friendly service, a warm, inviting atmosphere, and no frills dining. I usually steer clear of skillets. Just never know if a catastrophe-on-a-plate will be served. But, I had the German skillet and it was terrific. They also have a nice menu of lighter options. Despite being super packed, the Lincoln Square Pancake House moved through the waitlist quickly and got people seated in what felt like very little time! Similarly, once we were seated, servers promptly came to check in and get our orders, then brought out drinks and food very shortly thereafter. It's a very no-frills space, but bright and lively on our visit. The food was generally solid diner food -- lots of pancakes, omelets, scrambles, and the like. We got the Breakfast Burrito and the Pesto Omelet, as well as coffee and tea. My partner enjoyed his burrito, and said it was flavorful and filling. I was somewhat less keen on my omelet, though I didn't dislike it. The Pesto Omelet was supposed to have feta cheese, spinach, and sun-dried tomatoes in an egg-white omelet topped with pesto, but mine had fresh tomatoes rather than sun-dried and the feta was mysteriously absent, which was a bit disappointing even though the omelet still tasted good overall (mostly, I expect, due to the flavorful pesto on top!). I will say that the hash browns on the side were great. Zero complaints on the hash browns! I think it's likely that the missteps were due to how busy it was due to the convention. I pretty much feel like I can dine in at any Lincoln Square and be just fine! This was my first time at the Market st location and I can say I think I might become a regular. Food: I got the Huevos Rancheros, which is considered a breakfast egg dish but I got mine without and it was perfect to my liking! This has become a go to ever since I found out it combines all the faves; the chorizo sausage, crunchy tortilla, pico de gallo and hash browns! I would describe it like a big loaded nacho, breakfast style. I also got a side of bacon (chewy) and it was made to perfection. They do have mimosas outside of the regular orange juice, apple & cranberry ! I got apple and i felt like I drank bubbly Welch's apple juice, which is my favorite. Service: we were seated pretty quickly and our waiter Demetrius was super friendly, attentive and fun. If you go, say hey and tip well! He made sure we was goodttt! Ambience: it gives a diner vibe with the booths and bar dining checkout. Has both booths and chair seating for those who like options. I sat near the windows, and since it's located downtown near Ohio, the windows give a nice people and downtown traffic watching view. So it'd be chill to come with friends or chill alone. Went to sit down and booth was covered in water (looked like a someone set a wet busser tub down and failed to clean it up) but I got some napkins and it was fine. Lots of good stuff on the menu. Had to ask for syrup (you'd think they'd bring that automatically with waffles, pancakes, French toast, etc.) Chicken wasn't a chicken finger but it wasn't a hearty piece of fried chicken either.
