So our entrees were really good but the appetizer and the service was horrible. Our server Alyssa was very hard to get her attention, kept not bringing us things that we ordered, asked for or that she offered to bring, and was very rude. We had some issues with our appetizer not being good but we were still charged $20 for something all of us tried to eat (and that all of us normally like) but could not eat. When we asked if there was any way to have it taken off (since only 4 got eaten with us trying them but they were so bad we couldn't eat them) she was very rude and said "must just be an acquired taste" and I REPEAT we ALL eat these all of the time other places. Very enjoyable experience. I had the bam-bam shrimp and 1/2 of a crawfish poboy. The shrimp were excellent. The 1/2 poboy was still huge and very good. My wife had the shrimp Basket and enjoyed it. I was in town from Myrtle Beach South Carolina and a local recommended eating here. We tried it and loved it! I decided to bring my dad here for an early Father's Day dinner! He loves shrimp and lives in Bryant Al where it is impossible to find good shrimp. I was worried that the hour and half drive would be too much for him( he is almost 80). He enjoyed the drive and was amazed at the coconut shrimp! He said best shrimp he has since he visited the beach! Monica was our server and did an OUTSTANDING job! I found this little gem on yelp. I was extremely pleased with the food. It was awesome! We started out with the Boom Boom shrimp, which was very well seasoned and spiced. Then my lunch companion and I shared a 4 option Cajun sampler and a seafood combo basket. I love crawfish and the crawfish in the combo basket didn't disappoint. Found this place on a business trip to Guntersville. Was doubtful at first but left impressed. I go to NO once a year so am familiar with Cajun food. This place is great. Had a sampler of gumbo, shrimp and crawfish jambalaya and etoufee. All with lots of flavor and great spice. Will come back the next time I'm in the area. read more

I ate here on Tuesday around 6:30 pm. The pricing for the food is reasonable but the food is sub par by far. They have a fairly extensive menu. My associates ordered chicken fingers and onion rings and a chicken pasta plate which they both said were ok. I ordered gumbo, which was horrible. The shrimp creole was a little better but not much. It seems as if they are good at fried food but their actual Cajun dishes are FAR from authentic and not desirable at all. Should take a day or two to male good gumbo. This tastes like someone made it in 20 mins and then let it sit all day. Wouldn't recommend this place unless you want some sort of fried chicken dish. read more

We have tried this place multiple times over the past two years hoping we would have a better experience, but this time my wife ordered salmon and it was definitely a bad piece of fish that had either sat for too long in the refrigerator or had been re-frozen multiple times then cooked. We eat salmon weekly and it never has any bad odor or sour taste like this salmon, and after we sent it back the kitchen staff still told us nothing was wrong with it. That worries me more than anything if a chef can't admit the obvious. If it's an accident or mistake, just admit that it was bad and apologize and that's all that's needed to feel good about the situation. I had grouper and it was very dark meat and not white and flaky like fresh grouper typically looks, so I'm afraid this place doesn't get fresh fish very often and apparently serves everything they have until it runs out. That's all I can assume from our experience tonight. The other times we have tried it over past months we always have something that's not up to par and we always hope that it was just an unusual situation, but it's happened too many times now to be a coincidence. The employees are all college age kids that are very nice, but don't seem to understand the importance of food quality and customer satisfaction. We've tried hard to have a good seafood place, but no luck here for us. read more

I love this place!! I had my parent's 25 wedding anniversary party there and the staff was great! They were very understanding and accommodating. They have a large room that comfortably fit around 30 people and still had extra booths on the side! They have great food and great servers. Try the gumbo! It is my whole family's favorite! Stopped by here again this afternoon. As solid a stop as we have found around here. Got to chat up the owner, who was a really great guy. Our waitress, too young to bring beer to the table was a pleasure. Pretty, smiling, helpful. Braces and all, still smiling the entire time, what a refreshing change on what we have found around here. Found out that Papa Dubi was a real guy, the owner's grandfather, how cool is that? They are a little pricey, but for the quality of food, I can't complain. You can't get food this good outside of NOLA. I did the sampler, with gumbo, jambalaya, and red beans and rice, all were fantastic. The bride had the blackened shrimp fettuccine Alfredo, which I assume was good, but I didn't even get a nibble. We had the bang bang shrimp for an app, it was stellar. I've got nothing but props for this place, they rock it out, especially for being in a strip mall beside of Aldi. Already looking forward to our next visit, which may be tomorrow. read more

Nice surprise! Stopped here on a whim and both ordered the blackened catfish. Wife had it with Cajun rice and hush puppies. The catfish and rice were delicious. Don't skip the dessert.
