It only took me 11 months of living in Huntley to check this place out and that was the same weekend I was packing to move out of Huntley. But eating breakfast here on a Sunday morning had me rethinking our decision to move. Obviously they were busy as it was Sunday after church breakfast time but the servers and all the staff did a great job of getting everyone in and out and all needs attended too. Awful experience. The host didn't greet us. When he took us to our table, he walked for ahead, dumped the menus and kept walking. Not one word. The waitress was harsh and rude. The food was blah and portions extremely small. The restaurant is filthy and should probably be torn down. Save your hard earned money and skip this place. My family and myself take trips out to Woodstock Harley Davidson and always pass by this restaurant. Finally we decided to go inside for breakfast seeing that the restaurant was packed. The restaurant offers the choice of homemade or regular toast. I highly suggest getting the homemade raisin toast and their pancakes. The pancakes are light, fluffy, and nicely buttered. Nice little coffee shop, friendly service & good food. It was a busy little place for a Monday morning, seemed like an older local crowd, which usually means the food is good. This is your typical small town breakfast place! The food is absolutely amazing! They have the best skillets in town. My server was extremely helpful and knowledgable of the menu this made ordering a breeze. The food also was served in a timely manner we barely had to wait. The food is awesome and really quick. Almost all of the servers are excellent. Since the food is so quick, if you want something extra, you might need to wave your server down but that pretty normal in my opinion. They bring you water right away and they keep your coffee or drinks filled pretty well. I've only had a few times that ive had to wait a bit but if they are really busy, the busser goes around to fill everyone up. I definitely recommend trying their homemade bread/toast. The waitresses here are charming & very good at what they do, & the one bus boy is also a very hard worker; your coffee & water will always be filled. The food, as far as greek diner food goes, is just average. Some of the soups are very good; others, very bad. The minestrone soup seems like they took their spaghetti sauce, watered it down a bit & threw in the leftover canned veggies. On the flip side, the split pea soup is tasty & comes with delicious croutons. I like the hot sandwiches (hot beef, hot turkey) even though they tend to give a very small ice cream scoop of instant potatoes on the side. Breakfast is fine- how can anyone screw up eggs? We have eaten here quite a few times and the breakfast is very good! The homemade rye bread is the best I have ever had. HOWEVER, the waitresses are NOT so good. When we went last weekend, they ran out of mozzarella sticks and I was really bummed. The appetizers plates were brought with our drinks. Our waitress, Diane, after taking our order, had the nerve to say she will run to Jewel and pick some mozzarella sticks up so we will have them. How about just order them?! A different waitress walking by at the same time actually told us we should probably leave and go somewhere else since they don't have the mozzarella sticks. WHO SAYS THIS KIND OF GARBAGE! NOT FUNNY AT ALL! ACTUALLY VERY RUDE! Mid way thru our breakfast/lunch, the waitress who told us we should leave, came to us and asked if she could take one of our appetizer plates and she would bring us one later. She then proceeded to another table with the plate she took off of ours. It was not used, of course, but YUCK! That is disgusting! And no one ever brought another plate. This same waitress came by a short time later, after my husband finished his pancakes and she asked if he was finished with the syrup bottle and he said yes. She then took it and brought it to another table. Double YUCK! The restaurant isn't that big. There is no reason why they shouldn't have enough plates and keep them clean so they don't take them from one table to the next. GERMS people! Also, you should have enough syrup bottles or wipe them down before just sending to another table! Never noticed how GROSS this place was before! I wonder what the health department would say about both of these situations? If we ever eat here again, it will be take out only! TERRIBLE waitresses, but decent breakfast food. It's you're average breakfast joint. The building and furniture is outdated. The food was average. I had two eggs with ham off the bone. They gave mostly the fatty cuts of ham. The hash browns were waaaay under cooked, but their home made wheat bread dunked in over easy yolk was delicious and was their saving grace. read more

Decent food, horrible service. Called there to make sure the place was still open and was told they were open for a kn other 1 1/2 hrs. Got there in 10 mins and was told very rudely by the owner that they were closed even though the place had like 10 tablesnbeing served. The owner wouldn't even get off the phone and speak with me he said that if I didn't like it then he doesn't need my business any more. So good I will not be going back there ever. read more
