The store started the TooGoodToGo app very recently. While I was definitely not one of the very first to use it as there were at least one or two days people bought before me, I was around the third wave of orders to use this app for this particular location. It is the first Papa John's to use TooGoodToGo in the Delco and Philadelphia area corridor that I am personally aware of so far. There were two staff members who I encountered who weren't aware of the app and kept thinking I had something I ordered in particular. They did confirm that I was at the correct Papa John's location. The staff was very nice, and one of them I sensed was a delivery person who just happened to be in the store to pick up orders for his next round of deliveries. I ended up having to speak to the owner. He did understand the concept. He asked me what I wanted and I said I like combination things and he said for what I purchased, he can't offer me that. So then I just said give me whatever. I ended up with fresh cheese sticks with marinara sauce. Their cheese sticks are really just a pizza pie cut up into cheese stick slices, but it was a reasonably good deal for what I got. read more

I was driving through Ardmore and saw that this new Papa John's Pizza had opened so I decided to stop off. I came in and decided to place an order, which I would have did dinner. I ordered a small plain pizza first and then got a side of cheese sticks. I was told that my wait time would be about 20 minutes, which I found to be very reasonable. As I waited this Papa John's got progressively more crowded with a couple of pickup orders and delivery orders going out. However, the staff here did a very nice job of keeping everything running smoothly. Speaking of the staff, I found them to be very friendly and just great. The pizza chef gave me a very warm hello and I had a nice, quick conversation. The cashier was also very nice and gave me some sauce recommendations for my cheese sticks and asked me if I needed plates. I had me pizza and cheese sticks when I got home and I was very pleased with both of them. I got a cheese piece and I really loved the mozzarella and how it stood out. It went well with the sweet sauce and hearty crust as well. I would have liked if they had given a bit more sauce to offset the cheese, but I still found my pizza to be very enjoyable. The cheese sticks were very nice as well. They were nicely baked and coated with a nice layer of cheese and covered with a drop of garlic. Obviously, the pizzas here are not gourmet, but they are still tasty. Altogether, this is a very nice Papa John's in Ardmore that is in a nice location and serves quality pizza. read more

I was quite happy to hear Papa John's was opening up a location in Ardmore. A few years ago there was a store over in Rosemont that delivered to us. When it moved away, we were sad. We love our local pizza places, and we, being a household with a teenager and his teenage friends, have pizza quite often. So there's plenty of pizza love coming from our house to both the locals and to this new Papa John's. What do we love? Well, first of all, their cheese breadsticks. Yep. They're yummy, with a good flavor and a generous tub of dipping sauce. I have been known to order one just for myself (it's the size of a medium pizza, and yes, I hide it from the NMT). Second, we love their thin crust, they do this better than the locals, it's crisp but still has flavor. Like a zesty saltine, the way my Italian grandmother made her pizza. Hers was better, and it made me appreciate a good thin crust. We also like the new garlic parmesan crust, it's also quite flavorful. We've also gotten their 'desserts' which are executed well for chain-food dessert. If you get the chocolate chip cookie pizza dessert, have some vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup on hand at home, it makes a great cookie sundae. Then get on your treadmill and run for 3 years to work off the gazillion calories. The service has always been good, drivers have been polite and friendly, and the specials help this mother-of-a-pizza-eating-machine stretch her budget. Thumbs up, we're glad they're here. read more

*****Update***** The management here is AMAZING!!!!!!!!! They went above and beyond to make our previous experience right. Will definitely be back!! Thank you so much! The delivery driver was extremely rude. I order from this Papa John's frequently and the delivery drivers ALWAYS come up to the door. I have a baby and to come down to the lobby with him to get the pizza is inconvenient. Also, if I'm gonna do all that, I might as well go out and get food from somewhere hence, why I order delivery...TO MY APARTMENT. My apartment number and door code are also noted on my account. I live in a nice apartment building with a concierge that will even watch their car while they bring the pizza up to me. The person that delivered to me tonight I've had previous experiences with. He's never friendly, but he'll bring the pizza up to the door. Now, not sure what happened to him today, nor do I care. I just want the service I pay for. But he stated that "Papa John's doesn't allow us to come to the door." I said really? Cause I order from you guys all the time and never have a problem. I have a baby with me and I can't come down. Can you come up? He then hesitated and proceeded to tell me "Ok. I'll come up, but next time you order delivery you know I'm coming be ready." EXCUSE ME?! It is HIS JOB to DELIVER PIZZAS. I am not inconveniencing you, I am contributing to your hours. I called and spoke to the manager about my experience and she said she'd talk to him and let him know about the door code etc for future reference. To be honest, there are too many good pizza places to deal with the possibility of having another encounter with him. At first, I was angry for how poorly I was treated, but now...now I'm inspired. I really want to thank him. He really inspired me to be a better mother and spend more time with my kids so they don't grow up to be miserable middle aged delivery drivers. Ps. I'm really sorry I gave this new Papa Johns a try instead of going with my local pizzeria for lunch. I waited over 90 minutes for a cold pizza and cold wings on a Friday at 2:30pm. The delivery driver called me asking where my apartment was, yet spent 10 minutes on a joy ride around the complex cooling my lunch. When I called to complain, the woman who answered told me to expect cold food since the delivery was from Ardmore to Bryn Mawr. The two towns are next to each other and it shouldn't take this long to deliver food. Who wants cold pizza? read more

You know that pizza they had in the cafeteria back in highschool? Must have been papa johns. When they fired 'the papa,' and 'the papa' mentioned on a podcast that their pizza quality has gone downhill- he was right.$18 for a large 5 topping and a 2 liter, but tasted less fresh than Little Caesars. Worst chain pizza out there tbh. Typically, pizza crust is crispy- not so here. Super chewy, and the whole pie was uninspired. read more

Papa John's failed to deliver my pizza. They claimed I gave them a bad phone number and that they waited for an hour. Unfortunately, I was unable to call them back last night-- I was ordering the pizza between two long meetings--so I tried them today. They were extremely rude on the phone saying how they had to pay the driver and for the the ingredients and that if I gave them a bad phone number it was my fault and they don't give refunds. read more
