Those kinds of bagels are hard to find and all too often, the places that try to boil and then bake don't quite capture the right flavor in the dough. Spread scores high in boil and subs wood fire for bake. The dough is solid and I love the non-traditional options like rosemary-olive oil and sweet potato. The staff lets you know which bagels are still warm from the oven to help you with your choice. There are a variety of breakfast and brunch sandwiches along with an assortment of cream cheeses. I have a thing for a warm sesame bagel with jalapeño cream cheese and the one I received here was perfect! Service is quick. The concept is cool. We loved the vibe of the Bagelry it was train station themed I guess. The staff were very nice. For $24 we personally thought the bagels were good but weren't THAT good. I think they were interesting and the rosemary salt flavor was good but the texture didn't hit the spot when you crave a bagel and the fillings could have used some seasoning. Experienced Spread before as a quick carry out at the Bryn Mawr shop and fell in love with the bagels. I was in the Wynnewood neighborhood craving a bagel breakfast sandwich. I thought I'd check out the Spread Bagelry that moved into the previous Delancey Street space. Wow- amazing bright decor and light through the front of the store makes the corner spot comfy.my order came out quickly and hand delivered by a staffer. I was going to eat in my. Carbon the way to my next destination however the eating areas was inviting I sat down and enjoyed my meal. I noticed how happy the staff was and that made my experience more enjoyable. Vibrant fast pace restaurant. Food is always fresh and staff is always professional. On this visit they were extra busy and although I liked my sandwich I wish it had more than 1 slice of bacon. The smoked bacon must have been cut in half's and a half of my sandwich had no bacon. For the price point I want to taste bacon on my sandwich. My drip coffee was also warm not hot but that is a fatal flaw of many restaurants. I would definitely return just not during one of their rush hours. read more

I decided to stop here as I passed by. As soon as I walked in all 3 employees were friendly and happy. The supervisor Jamar (not sure how to spell his name) greeted me and helped ring me up. The other gentleman was prompt and fast in making my order as well as the lady with my drink. The place is clean and the bagels are delicious. The bagel guys are amazing and everyone was really nice. The drink girl in a Cheetah headband is the slowest, rudest, and sassiest service worker ever. Ive never seen someone go to the bathroom so many times in 20 minutes. Im concerned for her health... hope she washed her hands. We ordered 3 bagels and coffee. Got the bagels within 4 minutes of ordering. It has been thirty minutes and we still haven't gotten the coffee so we nicely asked and she rolled her eyes and went to the bathroom again. Spread finally opened in Wynnewood at what was previously Delancey Street Bagels. We arrived at 9:30 on a Saturday morning and there was very little line and our food came out fast. Living on the mainline, my wife and I both got different lox options. I had The Classic with nova and my wife had the nova scramble. Both were very good! In particular, the bagels were nice and doughy which I like. The prices are a bit high for what you get, at least with the lox options, but they are very good. The interior has been updated with a very modern flair and while there is some seating, I can imagine it fills up quick. Given the convenience and quality, I expect we will be back often! read more

The first time I went there the bagels were great. I had the classic with cream cheese, lox, onions, capers and tomatoes, very good. The second time I went the I went on the late side and the bagels where awful, over cooked and broken in pieces. Should not have sold to me. I thought I give them another shot. I got the classic and when I got home there was NO lox on the bagel. I basically paid $15 for a bagel with cream cheese, super disappointed. I had been to Spread in Bryn Mawr many times & enjoyed it, so I was happy when Wynnewood opened - closer to home & much better parking than Bryn Mawr. I went several times & found the staff to be helpful and I really liked the store ambiance. However, after a couple visits I noticed that the bagels were noticeably smaller & thinner than the ones from Bryn Mawr. The bagels aren't cheap so I stopped going to Wynnewood & returned to Bryn Mawr (& sometimes Newtown Square.) To be fair, it's been a while, so maybe they've heard this complaint & addressed it. I'll also say that I miss the maple bacon cream cheese. It wasn't my go-to, more of a special treat on occasion, but sad it is gone. Sometimes get the pistachio which is also yummy & unique - but not as good as the maple bacon. read more

Randomly stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon right before closing so there weren't a lot of options. The grill was already off so we could only order things that didn't need to be grilled. We ordered bagels and coffees. The coffee was honestly the worst coffee I've ever tasted. I got the seal salt caramel latte and my boyfriend got the orange cinnamon latte. I've never tasted such terrible flavors in my life. I had to throw mine out. The bagels were average. Nothing to write home about. The restaurant itself is cute though. Its clean and welcoming. Bagels are very good! Quality control is very off because the size of bagels varies greatly (like some are double others, even same type). Bagel sandwiches are pricey but good so worth it when they are on the bigger side. Nice to have so many tables to sit at. Glad that they finally got a new tenant in this space!! read more

We went for the first time to this new replacement for Delancey Street, hoping to get a tuna melt like the one that Delancey Street had. We were very disappointed. The bagel was fine, and the service was fine, but the tuna was terrible. It was too sweet and tasted nothing like any tuna I've ever had before. My wife said it was the worst she's ever had. We ate half of each bagel after our walk. Later I added stronger cheese and pepperoncini to give it some sparkle, but it was no use. I threw it out. read more
