I will never order from this particular Papa John's again. I've lived in other places and Papa John's has never been an issue, but in this small town, it is an issue not worth it. I was so disappointed when they closed the location out on 173 but I found out just last week that they opened a smaller location on Junction highway. I reinstalled The app on my phone and placed my order just two days ago. Customize it anyway you like or get one of their specialities, you will not regret it at all. The food was flavorful. We enjoyed the cheese-stuffed crust. However, the crust in the middle was soggy. The order was made wrong so we waited an extra 10-15 min. Wow. I called the local number and when a person answered I tried to place an order for pickup. Well the gentleman who answered the phone tried to verify the store I was going to pick up at. I said yes your are right next to BrewDogz. Well that threw him into a tizzy of miscommunication. So he asked me to hold for another employee. Next employee came on and I said I didn't understand what the problem was I just needed to place an order to pickup. By the way this was at approx 2 in the afternoon, not peak pizza delivery times. This is a boo-hiss to the team at the Bandera Highway Papa John's. I was on my way to pick up pizzas that I had ordered online and I realized my tire was flat. I called them immediately and they never answered the phone. The recording said "a team member will assist you shortly" about 1000 times in the 45 minutes I was on hold. When I got there an extremely rude and abrupt manager told me that they do not have a phone system. I told him that they should take the recording off because it is very misleading. He got snippy with me. So I came home with almost $60 worth of cold pizza because they don't have a phone. They have a phone number but they don't have a phone. read more

Pizza is usually edible. Sometimes they even get the order right. However, good luck getting a hold of anyone if your order is not right. They won't answer the phone. Also know that when you call to place your order it sounds like it's going to a call center in India. read more

Probably one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. First the person taking my order over the phone told me my coupon wasn't good because it was for online orders only. Not true! Nowhere on the ad did it say that. He finally agreed to honor the coupon and correctly repeated the order back to me. When I went to pick up the pizza, there were 3 people at the counter but only one who could actually check me out causing my pizza to get cold while waiting for him to take orders on the phone. If you ever find yourself traveling thru kerrville tx don't order from papa johns. They did not bring us the correct pizza but said they would bring us the right one. 60 minutes later still no pizza and when I called they said the driver got confused and will be here in 5 minutes. Papa Johns is my favorite chain pizza place here in Kerrville. I've heard the Pizza Hut is good as well, but they don't deliver to my end of town so I don't eat there much. Their prices are a bit expensive but they almost always have a 50% off deal running so that helps a lot. Delivery takes 40 - 60 minutes to get to my house but the pizza has always been hot. They are a little stingy on the toppings, and that's why I give them 4 instead of 5 stars. I've ordered mushrooms or green olives before to only get like 5 mushrooms total on the whole pizza! I'm not sure if they are low on ingredients all the time or what but there is definitely room for improvement there. read more

I'm not a pizza snob. As long is it is hot and fresh and makes the family happy, I'm happy. This place is pretty quick on the delivery -- we are near Veteran's Loop and 16. Pizzas always show up hot. I'm writing the review about their hot wings. I've only had the buffalo style hot wings and these are the best I've had in town. Great sauce. And delivered! I'd give them 5 stars if their prices were more consistent. Overpriced if you have to pay regular price for what you want. I don't like having to search through the specials. read more

The last time was the last time. I ordered on line and the pizza never showed. I called and they said the driver was on his way, still no pizza. I called again and was put on hold and they never came back. I used a different cell phone and called back, they said we had changed the order to be picked up.
