It's been 8 months since My last order from here, and it's my 1st PJ's Shaq-a-Roni pizza. Though, a different pizza, sadly, no improvement over my last Review. While it tasted very good, the crust (especially, the end pieces) was quite chewy. And, while there was quit a bit of pepperoni, I've had (though, few and far between) pizza from other places that had more pepperoni than this. Also, being an New Yirk Style pizza (nothing beats an authentic one; something about the water, and ingredients), this was cut into 8 slices (my preferred number), rather than the 6 larger NYS slices. We ordered 35 minutes ago. Two medium pizzas and a small order of wings. I get here to pick up the food and there's so many customers waiting no one can get inside the store, and of course they haven't even started making my food yet. My husband and are loyal Papa John's customers. We always got our food on time, until now. We made two separate orders, one for a family special and the other for 16 wings. The wings arrived on time but our pizzas did not. It is now 12:20 in the morning and we are still waiting on out food. We ordered around 9:45. This is what happens when you send food out through door dash and not your drivers. We called about an hour ago to see what the deal was. The person acted like he didn't want to deal with it. I just left this place at 4:30 pm I ordered 4 pizzas some jalapeño bite and some cheese sticks. 87.00 dollars worth of pizza. 45 minutes later I go in to check on the pizza they have 3 of the 4 pizzas ready and the jalapeño bites. The cashier goes looking for my 4 th pizza and cheese sticks. She says my box is still on the shelf hasn't been made yet. I ask why but okay. How long will that take? 15 minutes mam. Ok fine. Another 30 minutes go by I finally get the 4 th pizza but no cheese sticks. Now I am like how long on my cheese sticks no one even acknowledges me or looks my way. So I am like hello. You know what where is your manager I been here over an hour and a half. A guy that was making pizzas come and pulls up my order says there are no cheese sticks. Um yes I ordered 4 pizzas jalapeño bites and cheese sticks. They say no you ordered Jalapeno bites and some other bites. Well I didn't get those either but asked for cheese sticks. After almost 2 hours. I brought the pizza back in said just give me my 87.00 dollars back. Oh we already did. I told the boy I need proof of that he slams receipt on the counter. Okayyy ! I am so pissed right now. There was no I am sorry. I will fix this for you, nothing. Just a lot of attitude and they didn't care about the food that I ordered that just got wasted. Unless they ate it or resold it. As a manager myself I would have never treated my customers in such a manner or let that much money for one order walk out my store. Just me though. I'm pretty disappointed in Papa John's overall. This past weekend we ordered a couple of pizzas and some wings online while we were town. First off it's not bad enough that Papa John's already charges a $3.45 delivery fee, but the app asked if we wanted be "Papa Priority" or something like that, where for $2.99 more your delivery will be prioritized. We did not select that option. While the app quoted us a time of 55 to 60 minutes the driver was at our house in 20 minutes. That was impressive; considering we didn't spend the extra $2.99 for priority delivery. The pizzas and wings were hot, but the wings were soggy; I guess that's how microwaved wings are. The large pizza was good, but the medium pan pizza was far from being a pan pizza. Nope, their pan pizza is more like a large pizza dough that's hand tossed into a medium shape; it was certainly not cooked in a pan. read more

Terrible experience, and I mean... how do you mess up take out pizza? Went to this Papa Johns last night, and, as a Georgia College student, you are supposed to get 40% off when you pay with Bobcat Card. This is no longer the case, but they never bothered to tell anyone. I said something about it to the man taking my order, and he said, "No. We don't do that because the machine broke a long time ago." He/the staff didn't bother to notify the school or anything. Additionally, he was beyond rude about it. He should have honored the deal regardless. I knew then we should have just left after this, but we didn't. We picked up the pizza and went home. After the first bite I knew something was off because it wasn't even warm. It was warm on the box but the pizza was barely room temperature. I went on and a few bites in it was doughy and not in a normal way. Come to find out the pizza was almost raw. Yes, raw. I could have sat there and I kneaded the dough myself. Needless to say, we didn't finish it out of fear of being sick. And just the little bit I had upset my stomach as it was. Will not be returning to this Papa Johns. And I don't recommend it for anyone, especially not GCSU students looking to save money because you won't. DO NOT EAT HERE. read more

I love Papa John's pizza. Best pizza in town and the best prices. I have had a few low quality pizzas in the past but that tends to happen when it's late at night and they have high traffic. This occurred this week. This sounds like a bad experience and as though I'm making excuses but they get 5 stars because they have ALWAYS fixed the problem. Today I spoke to Stephanie one of the managers and she not only handled the issue but she was happy to! She asked about my preference of no cheese and asked if I would like my pizza made with clean utensils instead of a slicer used on other pizzas. This is (literally) the first time someone has asked me that. I do react to dairy with a itchy irritated throat, and I am a vegan so I loved this experience. I will be ordering again! read more

I ordered a goddamn buffalo chicken pizza w ranch sauce and buffalo sauce swirl. I did not get both the ranch sauce NOR the buffalo sauce swirl. I was given a box of cardboard w cardboard crust and melted cheese with 4 measly pieces of chicken on it. I am OUTRAGED. Besides the fact that they messed up 2 of our pizzas, zero of the employees were wearing hair nets or beard nets (I should mention all the employees who were making pizzas had hair to their shoulders and long facial hair). One employee also cussed at what seamed the manager when she addressed her messing up the pizza. Very unsanitary and disgusting. read more

This is the last time I will let Papa Johns disappoint me. I would've been better off cooking a frozen pizza. First of all, I called them to place my order and the widely publicized special was not available. I was told that I had to order online to get a pizza for that price. There was that special online. So I ordered it. The pizza was basically supposed to be loaded with toppings, but in reality it barely had any. The italian seasoning also was missing. The cheese sticks there are the most unimpressive ones that I have come across in Milledgeville. They do not have the garlic flavor that I have come to expect from cheesesticks. read more

We called in an order around 6pm on a Thursday night and were told that the pizza would be ready for pickup in about 30 minutes. We arrive at the Papa Johns location and were told that it would be an additional 10 minutes. After waiting the allotted time I went up to the counter and asked again how long it would be and was told that it was in the oven and wouldn't be much longer. The store was short on staff and the manager was very rude when customers would ask how much longer. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. Management should have better attitude when something like this takes place instead we were talked to in a way that shows absolutely no customer service whatsoever. read more

Ordered 2 pizzas for my wife's birthday. 1 - The Works and 1- Garden Lovers w/ original crust Noticed that they were Cold when I picked them up. Ordered at 3:00 for a 5:15 pickup. Picked up at 5:17. Did not eat until around 9:00. Both had little taste, not many toppings and chewy. Have had them before and they were OK. Threw away better than 1/2 left on each. Looked up Guarantee the next day. Because we ate 1/2 before thrown away, it did not apply. Guarantee is USELESS in my opinion. They obviously were made early and let sit for over 2 hrs. Will try Marcos next time. read more
