Distracted workers lead to mistakes!! And they will not own up to it or apologize!! Not the best customer service. Make sure to check your order before you leave. Plan on waiting a long time for your order or them having to constantly ask what the name was for the order while you wait inside. Speaking generally I like this papa johns. The store is always clean and the employees are friendly. Appears to be a family run business, which makes me want to patronize them. My problem is: 2 out of the last 3 times I've attempted to order pizza from this location have been unsuccessful. I just tried to place an order at 10:14pm - hours are marked open until 11 pm - apparently their system is down. Time before this, the store was closed in the afternoon on a weekday. not a holiday. When i showed up the lights were off, no one was at the store, and the doors were locked with several confused would be customers waiting on the parking lot. 2 hours later papa johns employees called me back to tell me my pizza was ready - by that time I had long since bought a pizza from elsewhere. we all know that most of the Papa Johns locations have been shut down around the Sacramento area. So we literally have one by the Sacramento airport and one in Rancho Cordova California. Only wish there were more locations and closer to the house. Did not have garlic in the crust with the cheese as shown, just garlic seasoning dusted on the crust. Stuffed crust is amazing! I can't speak for ALL Papa John's, but I can speak of this one at 9989 Folsom Blvd. I tried this particular location a while back, a couple different times actually, and informed them of their blah tasting pizza with skimpy toppings. The store was pretty run down so I figured this was a lower priority store that just couldn't make the revenue. Then I noticed the store was closed (no surprise, I thought to myself, given the experiences I had). Then I noticed it was renovated and reopened. So I decided, 'what the heck', let's give them another try. Maybe they listened to our previous complaints. Keep in mind this store is literally 3 minutes away from my home, and offers delivery as opposed to the 10 minute drive to my preferred pizza at Papa Murphy's. Unfortunately I was disappointed again. Not for the taste this time. The pizza was actually acceptable as far as flavor goes. But wow, it was supposed to be 3 topping pizza. I guess that location still can't afford to be reasonable with their toppings. Tight management? I don't know, but if they keep penny pinching like that they will lose customers. Give people their fair share of toppings and they might return again. Losing customers for the sake of saving money on a few more pieces of olives and bell peppers just doesn't make sense. This is by far the BEST Papa John's location! Their service is great. We always call ahead to order and drive to pick it up and it has never not been ready once we arrive. I always appreciate a restaurant/service that takes less time than they say it will. In my opinion, their quality of pizza is great. We always order a cheese pizza and it has always been absolutely delicious. The garlic dipping sauce is the best and the first cup automatically comes with the pizza for no additional charge. They will also give you parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper packets, as well as paper plates for no additional charge. It costs $10.85 for a large cheese pizza. I remember calling another Papa John's location once and ordering the same thing, and they wanted to charge $15 for it. I cancelled the order and called this Papa John's immediately because they have the best price. Also, if you sign up for their rewards program, they constantly send you coupon codes that you can redeem online that are very good deals. For example, this week you can get a medium up to 5-topping pizza plus pepperoni rolls for only $10. They send out new deals each week via email and/or text. There is no indoor seating, other than a few chairs that are used if you are waiting for a pizza to be made, but there is outdoor seating that's nice to sit at during warm weather. Walked into store and then employees proceeded to put mask to cover nose and mouth. One guy preparing food didn't even bother covering his face and continued to prepare food. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Papa John's! I was so sad when they closed down but was so pleased when I heard they re-opened and with new owners. Their pizza is, hands down, the best out of all the other pizza chains I've tried, and trust me, I've tried a lot! I always order their garlic chicken, which is to die for. We also ordered their gourmet veggie, which was good, too, but I'm not a huge veggie fan. They have a great carry-out special for $10 for any large speciality pizza -- you just can't beat that! Also, the few times my husband went there to pick up our order, they gave him a free liter of soda, free breadsticks, and free garlic sauce for the wait.
