TL;DR - I am a Kiki's regular and this location is not very good in terms of quality. Go to location on Madison & Fair Oaks instead if you can. I usually order from the Kiki's on Madison & Fair Oaks because it's closer to me and has always been more consistent and superior in quality than all the other locations I've been to. Tonight they closed at 9pm so I had to DoorDash from the Rockingham Dr location. I ordered my usual Large Kiki's Fries Buffalo and Ranch + Extra Tender and when I opened up the container I instantly noticed the difference. I received literally half the food I would from the other location... especially the chicken. I spent an extra $2.50 for more chicken and got less than I normally would. Then when I started eating it i noticed the fries were low key undercooked!! Was almost like eating frozen fries cooked in the oven. The chicken was okay, but they were super skimpy on the portion size and the fries were booty cheeks. Y'all gotta retrain the cooks, hire new ones, pay em more money, do somethin! Menu is straightforward like your typical chicken wing spot. I ordered the 8 piece bone in wing (flats only) combo and upgraded to the Kikis fries. Now I don't know if my eyes were bigger than my stomach, Kikis portions are hefty, or a combination of both. I barely made a dent in my combo order. Loved the Kikis fries! The food was good my only complaints but not really complaints, more of just not knowing since it was my first time, but I thought the Kikis fries would be made with the shoestring fries as the combo states it comes with but it wasn't. Tried it yesterday. Ordered large Kiki tots and 6 piece wings tossed in honey bbq. Price: it came out to $30. That is expensive. The food: Kiki fries (bbq) - the chicken lacked seasoning. The tots lacked sauce. All you taste is the honey bbq. The tots were perfectly cooked. Crisp. But there's no flavor outside the bbq sauce. Add some tang. Add some salt. Etc. 2/5 Honey bbq wings. Wings were large size. Credit there. But it tasted dry and tough. There was a light taste of seasoning in it. But for the price point. Hard to argue for it. 3/5 Would I come again? Probably not. Suggestions? Could benefit from local bbq or home made bbq sauce. The sauce reminded me of masterpiece or sweet baby rays. Not bad. Just not good. Need some zest. Some tang. My first time at this franchise. I was surprised by the size of the restaurant. There was ample table seating and a bar, with seating as well.i ordered 6 bone in wings - 5 drummies and 1 flat. I prefer flats and would like to know if the customer can specify. Thought that since the salad was an a-la-carte item that it would be served separately; however that was not the case. It was a nice salad but my perception of a $6.99 salad was a bit more than I was given. That's just my opinion. The chicken was nicely seasoned and very crispy. A tad more salt at the end would have made it PERFECT! I took it to go and the salad and chicken were just the right amount for my lunch. Overall, I was very pleased with both the food and the pleasant service. I will return in future when I want wings rather than go to Popeyes or Church's. I Doordash a LOT and I've been curious about this place on DD for quite a while. They had a happy hour special so I decided to give them a try. I have mixed feelings about the food I received. First of all the portions are BIG. I'm not sure what everyone else is talking about portion sizes because that definitely was not an issue with my order. I didn't have to deal with customer service, so I have no opinion to offer on that. My food was ready by the time the DD driver picked up and the food was hot when it was delivered so that's a plus. First thing I tried was a chicken tender, and while the chicken inside the tender is actually quite moist, there were a few extremely chewy spots on the outside. Not sure what that is about, but it matches to what others are saying. Weird though because the inside texture is awesome. My biggest concern is a weird aroma coming from the chicken tenders. Not like a rotten meat smell, just some kind of weird stale laundry smell, like when you leave laundry in the washer overnight and forget to put it in the dryer. I don't know, hard to describe but definitely a weird and off-putting smell. At first I thought maybe it was from using old grease, but the tater tots were perfect and didn't have any odd smell. In fact, the tater tots ended up being my favorite part of the meal because they didn't stink, were plentiful, and they went well with the jalapeno ranch dressing. OH and my sauce 1 option was for regular buffalo sauce ON THE SIDE, because I was afraid the tenders would get soggy if tossed in sauce. Well, I did not get ANY buffalo sauce, not on the strips nor on the side. All I got was the jalapeno ranch that was the 2nd sauce option (probably for the sides). I'm going to put these tenders away in a container for the night and see how it goes with the ones I already ate, and contemplate if I want to risk eat more. I'm not sure if I will eat here again. If I do, then I might try a smaller sample of strips and see if they smell better next time, or maybe visit the store in person to check things out. But I would definitely get a tater tots dish in the future, but avoid them being topped with chicken until I figure out what's going on with their chicken. read more

I have been to their midtown restaurant one time, but the rest of the time, I have always come here. I love Kiki's! I've never tried the wings, as there are two things I always get. Tonight, I got the tots with chicken. When it comes to fries vs. tots, for me, it's the tots every time. They come with a bleu cheese and buffalo sauce topping. The tots are tasty and not tough, the chicken is tender, also with a good flavor, and the sauces are the right amount. The buffalo sauce is not too spicy. The whole thing is rich, but so delicious. I usually get them to go, and when I get home, toss a couple of eggs on top to get that yolky goodness that I love. The other thing that I love here is their version of chicken and waffles. They take the chicken tenders, and cook them *into* the waffle. With the chicken, the waffle, and a little butter and syrup, they are savory, salty, and sweet, all at the same time. Since this is a chicken place, i expected much better. The sauce also costed extra and the tenders desperately needed it. So 2 stars for the tenders since they were still crispy even after a long time. Now the chicken fries. They were surprisingly good. The fries werent soggy even under all the sauce, they gave a good amount of chicken, and overall there was nothing to complain about. Kiki's has great chicken! I recently purchased two lunches from this restaurant and was impressed with both. I had chicken tenders and a chicken sandwich which were both juicy and delicious. The breading on the chicken was light and crispy. They came with sides of garlic and regular French fries. The fries were hot, crispy, and cooked perfectly. There wasn't too much garlic or oil on the garlic fries which was refreshing. The staff was great and got the food out quickly. The portion sizes of each meal were generous. This place is off the hook! Awesome whole in the wall. Super big portions, delicious flavors, fresh ingredients! The ambiance is nothing to write home about. The place is hard to find...and the exterior of the place looks uninviting. But that's where the negatives end and all the positives begin... The staff are awesome! They greet you a mile away and they are so helpful with the items on their menu. I think this excessive cheerfulness was what made me and my daughter order more than we originally came in for! This, I think, is their most inarguable feature! There is so much on their menu in terms of combinations so my order stuck to basics. Maybe our return here will find us more adventurous, but for now, just the basics. Lemon Pepper, Tuscan Garlic and Garlic Pepper for starters with Honey Mustard, Blue Cheese and Honey BBQ for dips, and with a side of fries. And they have boba too! You have to check out their menu. So many flavors and dips for the chicken wings to choose from. And the chicken was just right. Not raw and not over fried. Just right... The price is reasonable. We were driving back to the East Bay from South Lake Table and we're STARVING! Kiki's Chicken had a solid 4 star Yelp rating with "award winning wings" soooo we know we HAD to go! We ordered the Family Deal for $40 (10 chicken tenders, 10 wings, 2liter soda, and 3 side dishes). Since my two daughters don't like spicy we asked for the sauces on the side...perhaps this was part of our mistake? The wings were delicious but the tenders were TOUGH and CHEWY! Even after drenching it in sauce they were still hard to swallow. The side dishes were significantly smaller than anticipated but all delicious, particularly the baked beans! I ordered the medium portion which, even for a guy like me, was a hefty amount of food. The servers were friendly and the order was made ready earlier than expected.
