I normally DoorDash order from this location and have never had a problem. But tonight my dasher was great as normal and the restaurant failed. My order had been given to somebody who was not my dasher and the restaurant refused to remake it! He offered to pay for a new one with his dasher card and was still refused because the lady "didn't want to remake it". Extremely unprofessional on their end and I will never order from here again. If this lady was fired the store would be so much better and would make more money. Whoever owns the franchise needs to look into who they are hiring. read more

I am a DoorDasher who picked up an order from the 1929-C Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403 store, on April 10 around 5:40ish PM. The staff member at the front counter rudely and aggressively told me to not my phone in her "f***ing face". The distance from my phone up to her face was unintentional and because she was so rude about it, I told her she needs to be professional and courteous about it. Then she started screaming insults at me. I felt uncomfortable because I didn't know what she's capable of, so I picked up the order and immediately walked to my car. I normally order from local pizza joints but sometimes I go with a national chain for convenience. National chains are normally cheaper and faster but in most cases you lose some quality. That said, this Papa John's may be the best one I have used. Fast delivery and the quality is pretty damn good. I want to say I typically don't leave reviews specially on restaurants as I manage one. This is the second time I have been to this oleander location and probably will be my last specially after reading the other reviews. At the end of the day it falls on the area supervisor or owner if they don't have one because the manager of the store clearly is overwhelmed or unqualified. I'm not sure the man's name who is in the store ALONE on a SATURDAY. Not sure of when there volume is but regardless of the fact there is no reason for one staff member to be clock in. I would say can't find staff but honestly that's the furthest from the truth when people are accepting $12 hourly for pay to not have staff. So before I left this review I do consider all these things first. The employee is EXTREMELY unprofessional, locking the door cursing as soon as I walk in saying he is to busy to assist me in what I need tho he did apologize but explains he is overwhelmed. I know this isn't the first time whom ever reads this has heard this complaint. If you want your business to succeed replace him, retrain him have better sop in place and get the man some help! Sure one persons business at the end of the day isn't going to make or break anything but with a low rating and nothing being done I'm sure the p& l isn't looking the best recently! I would give them-10 stars on 5/30 I called at 8:42 pm made my order with some call center which was crazy anyway but it was fine tell me the price and how long it would be and what location would be delivering it at 10:20 PM I called to find out where my order was only to learn that the stores were all closed already so I called the 800 number and got someone on a live chat via email who informed me the store canceled my order without calling me without notifying me just being rude and leaving me to wait all night for my family to eat dinner the only thing they could do was tell me to file a complaint online. Even though I had the confirmation email, she insisted it was at a different location, and was indifferent that I'd paid for an order that I couldn't locate. I ordered online and when I went to pick it up, even though I had an email confirmation showing the address, the 3 pizzas ordered and paid for, the manager said she didn't have our order. I saw 3 pizzas on the shelf but didn't want to insult her intelligence by asking about them. She sent us to a different branch on Oleander Dr. but, of course, they didn't have the order. I returned, showed her (again) my email, and said she had to fulfill the order. Her response? "I don't have to do anything." I truly wish I could give it zero Stars. First of all, when I called to order today I spoke to someone who almost spoke no English. She was very difficult to understand and she couldn't understand me. I tried to explain that I had a buy one get one free coupon from the local attractions book. She said oh, I need to transfer you to the local store. So, first of all I shouldn't have to speak to a call center to order pizza. So then after being transferred to the store someone answered and said hold and then left me on hold for over 8 minutes. They never came back. I tried to call back two more times and even chose to speak to the manager in their automated system and no one ever answered. I was able to call my local Pizza hut and they answered. It was nice, I could actually speak to the location and I was treated with respect. We got a Cookie and it was so over done that it was black on the edges and when we tried to pick up a slice it literally fell apart. I ordered a pizza last night from Papa John's. It was a Philly cheese steak pizza and I ordered it well done. Well I got was a piece of pizza crust which was doughy and definitely way undercooked. Is appeared to be not even cooked at all. It was a big blob of cheese and doe with hardly any toppings on it. I recently moved to North Carolina from Florida and after ordering three or four pieces which came in the same way I have finally given up on this store. I see the ratings for this particular store are extremely low. I was offered in Florida numerous coupons for free pizzas and finally while in Florida just started throwing the coupons away.
