This was my first time eating pizza here. An unusual and pleasant perk is that they will deliver pizza to the beach/beach access point. At the time we ordered, the delivery time was high (100 minutes) so we decided to pick up our order. It was a surprise when I received a call that our pizza order was ready before we could pick it up (first time that has ever happened to me). Michelangelo's has been a family staple every time we've come to Carolina Beach. A place we've consistently enjoyed from the pizzas, garlic knots, and salads. However, this past time the food was undercooked, flavorless, and just overall a disappointment. The pizzas were in a glass case. Some looked like they had been sitting for a little while, but the cheese pizza looked fresh. The slice was nice and big! I also got a great big garlic knot for 99 cents. The garlic knot wasn't particularly garlicky, but it was big and doughy. The marinara was a little chunky, but tasted nice. The dine-in area were simple diner-style booths that were big enough to accommodate four to six people. There was a self-service soda machine and sprinkle parmigian on the table. I stopped in here for a quick bite while in town for a friend's wedding. We were greeted quickly by a friendly employee. It was a little expensive but that being said the slices were huge! I believe it was about $16 for 2 slices (one just cheese), 2 huge garlic knots, and 2 fountain sodas. I'm sure the location had a bit to do with the prices.
