Pizza arrived barely warm, wings were slightly warmer. Asked the driver what time he had left and he just stated that they were super busy. Easy to tell pizza had been sitting before it headed out and more than likely wasn't in a thermal tote. Super disappointed with our recent experience with Papa Luigis... my fiancé went to pick up the pizza. He placed the order at 6pm. Was told 6:44 for pick up time. He arrived and waited for an hour and a half!! Finally got it at 8pm. Told him that they would buy him a drink while he waits but he ended up having a bill placed in front of him. He got home and the pizza was missing cheese and sauce on half of it (it looked like it was ready and they took it and put it back in the oven to heat it back up) It was also very soggy when we asked for it to be crispy. She was REALLY friendly and talkative, made us feel like we were at close friend's house! Generously offered my vegetarian extra veggies and feta in place of chicken on Greek salad. The Greek salads were delicious, and generous portions- I took half my salad home! Beef tortellini was delicious and warranted a take-home bag. Don't pass up on this homemade Italian gem! For the past five years, my brother and I have visited Milwaukee and this is THE best place for Italian cuisine IMHO. We've had their thin crust pizza, various Italian dishes and great appetizers. My favorite thing on the menu is when they have their chicken dumpling soup, so so good dunked with their garlic bread. The prices are reasonable, the staff is very friendly, and the amount of food you get is a great value for the money. You apologetically took our drink orders before we were all there. Said 3 tables decided to close out at the same time. No apologies are needed dude- we were early! We appreciated everything you did for us. Before we even had a chance- you brought extra app plates and extra napkins. We all had waters brought to us. We all happily chatted amongst our group and thought that you were f'n fantastic the entire 90 minutes that we were there. We were not a rowdy group...but you kept the drinks and food flowing and managed to keep the separate bills correct. That's a feat in itself!!! I'd love to talk directly to your manager and tell him how amazing you were; we noticed you checked on us several times, noting we needed nothing at that point, and appreciated not being interrupted. I know my (personal) bill was only $16, and I hope you noticed on the tip that you are very appreciated. I wish I could give more but I'm underemployed currently. Out of the ordinary stop for lunch as I had been several times for dinner. Quickly greeted by Hannah who was also assigned as our waitress. She was great with quick response to our inquiries and verifying our pizza order for accuracy. Soup and salad were delicious, fresh and hit the spot. Complimentary garlic bread was brown and crunchy just the way I like it. Pizza arrives piping hot on the thin cracker crust we enjoy. Hannah was prompt to bring wine and water never leaving us dry. Visited Friday night after not being there in a while. Food and service were good as always but a new surcharge for use of a credit card left a bad taste in my mouth and will influence whether I patronize this business again. I once owned a retail establishment and ate the cost of credit card users as a cost of doing business and not a direct pass through to the customer. I have eaten there a lot, ordered from there a lot. I liked-the food ok, it's better then decent and it isn't far from me. Labor Day Weekend I had people over playing games and I ordered online some pizza from there. After they were 45 minutes late I started calling and kept calling as no one answered and I was in a loop recording. I called 3/4 times then checked and I was charged. People were hungry some cranky enough to leave and go out to eat. I had a 10 year old home so I couldn't go out at 9 pm( by then) . I ordered from another place for the remaining guests, My daughter feed them as I fell asleep before it came. The next day I called explained asked for owner as I spoke to him once about a fundraiser. I got a manager who assured me it wasn't their fault they requested the online to be off that day. I said I guess I get it, he said then it could be 5/7 days for a refund but he would make a call to work on it. I told some of the people who were waiting on pizza that night several work in food service and they questioned why along with the money I was charged back did he not offer me a free pizza or even breadsticks for ruining my party. I thought about it and called him back, he stated that I admitted it was probably not his fault and he was getting me a refund. I won't order there again only because most places would besides giving me money back as I never received the food, would value me as a frequent customer both dine in and out and offer to make it up to me. delivery is so hit or miss. one time the meal we order is perfect, the next time I have to call and complain which I do not like to do. The food is good, but it would be better if what I ordered was what I actually received. Tonight we ordered an Italian beef sandwich including fries and a pizza pocket. Delivery arrived so fast we were shocked! Opened the bag the driver dropped off and lo and behold the pizza pocket was missing, I called back before the driver could even be gone, and told the "manager" that I only received half of my order. He promptly blamed the driver. After about 35 minutes, my pizza pocket arrived. Then my husband checked his order - the Italian beef sandwich was missing the advertised on the menu melted cheese, peppers and onions and appeared to have been prepared on garlic bread. I am not sure why we can order perfectly cooked food, but 2/3 of the time it comes not as ordered. Who is to blame? The cooks? The driver? The manager on duty? Come on - we know you can do better. Over years the years I have developed a love for thin crust over thick/ pan and in my search I found this gem. This place has great pizza and has easily become one of my favorites. It's also become my families as well after recommending it and a great spot my brother asks for whenever he's in town. Not only is the pizza fabulous, let's talk about the fried eggplant! It's perfect! Nice and crispy. It does tend to get soggy sometimes if u order for take out but I don't blame them for that, that's just the name of the game. The mama mias garlic bread will satisfy the butter garlic lover in your life and the jalapeño poppers are also good. I did knock off a point though because I have ordered take out it and it has been burnt. I really liked there pizza. However there delivery was not good. I would pre-order a couple days in advance and called day of to confirm the order. It either came messed up with missing things or they didn't come at all. Then I had to call around trying to get it fixed and done in a timely manner. We came here with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. My friend had made a reservation so we were able to get seated right away. The waitress was very helpful and was very efficient. She had a great sense of humor and was just fantastic. I ordered the lasagna rolls - it was fantastic. It's a great option for people who are vegetarian because there was no meat in the lasagna rolls. It came with either a salad or soup. It was yummy. I would definitely order it again. Went back about 2 months ago & the pizza was great...the last 2 times was awful. 1 was too much cheese & not enough of ingredients. The other was way too much ingredients & hardly any cheese. We ordered thin crust & the waitress told us there thin crust is traditional. Per the menu, there is thin, hand tossed & thick crust. I don't think the waitress knew how to take orders. Despite the good food, I won't go back. We were seated, by the hostess, next to the only other people in the restaurant. My brother and I were talking about something that had been in the news. There was no hate talk, nothing derogatory about any person, race, religion or culture. Nothing graphic or vulgar. The customer (after eating) on their way out, apparently complained our conversation offended them. After the offended customer left, the manager came to us to tell us we offended that customer and we should be mindful about our conversation and mindful of our surroundings. The manager made me feel like I was a naughty little kid. The only thing missing was her wagging her finger at me. Our conversation was no different that if I read a newspaper story out loud and then voiced my opinion on it. I respect that the other customer has a right to their opinion and feelings, just as we have the right to our opinions. I do not feel that justified the manager's treatment of us. read more

well, well, well....low and behold, a pretty good italian place in cudahy. for a sunday night, a much appreciated uncrowded delight. with our entrees we ordered came a choice of salad or soup. we chose the salad. maybe the soup would have been better? the house salad was a sad array of iceburg lettuce with a few carrot tid bits, cucumber and tomato slices. the wait was a bit long for our entrees, we had wished that there would have been some bread with oil and vinegar, but maybe we were asking for too much? the place had been tastefully renovated, our waitstaff was pleasant and efficient. when our entrees did finally appear, they were both good. i had the meat lasagna (enough for two), my fiance had fettuccine alfredo. we felt that his dish was a bit bland, but a good job on the lasagna Papa Luigi. all-in-all, a pretty nice surprise. read more

Tonight I ordered a large meat lover pizza and buffalo wings and as I took a bite into the wing they were still frozen on the inside. After, I told the bar tender the wings were cold and under cooked, she took the remaining wings to the back and a long moment later one of the kitchen staff came out with what appears to be the same chicken wings and gave it back to me.
