All of a sudden, I came up with a gluten and dairy allergy. I have really missed my pizza. I always went to my brother's and his wife's for Tuesday's pizzas from Papa Murphy's. So,when this allergy came up, my brother said, no problem, they would get me a gluten-free and dairy free small pizza. I was hesitant. Wow, wow, wow! I must say that was the best crust ever and the pizza cheese was amazing. I had all of my favorite toppings on my pizza and I am going today to get my own to bring home. Sure...you have to go pick it up, bring it home, then bake it yourself...but it definitely tastes WAAAY better than any chain/delivery place around. There are often coupons in the mail, online or via their text club. So prices are pretty affordable--and I do believe they accept EBT as a form of payment. And if youre low on cash and want extra toppings, you can always add more when you get home. You can also call ahead or order online if you want to have your pizza ready when you get there. I was in there with my mother today(October 5th, 2021) and ordering a pizza, and while it took a while to get our pizza... the employees there were friendly, courteous and did a great job getting orders for pizzas to waiting customers. Discrimination or Ignorance or both? I ordered (2) pizzas both custom- a "build your own" and a customized "Cowboy Stuffed Crust" pizza online and specifically requested to have all the meat removed on the Cowboy pizza and added chicken. The confirmation receipt that I have lists all of the ingredients that I selected for both pizzas. One pizza was made correctly, the other pizza was not. Me and my husband do not eat pork or beef for personal religious reasons. After cooking the pizza, I realized that they had not removed any of the meat I had requested and instead added chicken to our custom Cowboy. I should also point out that the rest of our customizations were correct. We threw that pizza away because my husband and I do not eat pork and beef. Since their business was closed, and I really wanted to have a Cowboy pizza, I decided to call in the next day and ask if they would remake it. I figured I had my receipt, I bought (2) pizzas and I was only asking to have the one redone since it wasn't right. It shouldn't be a big deal especially when I had the confirmation that listed everything that should have been on the pizza. Wrong!!! Andrea, the manager, had the biggest chip on her shoulder. She started off on the wrong foot with a snarky comment of "maybe you don't know how to use the internet." Evidently, Andrea decided she was going to exercise her bestowed power and insult her customers rather than working to a resolution. However, I could have overlooked an unprofessional and rude interaction with a snarky employee but what I can't overlook is the fact that she stated that " I shouldn't have ordered a pizza that comes with pork and beef products if I don't eat it." Say what? I am not allowed to customize my food to accommodate our beliefs when you offer the option to customize a pizza? I ordered the pizza the way we are able to eat it, got a receipt that says I ordered it the way I wanted it and the final response is to slam how and what we eat due to our beliefs. Really? Way too far over a measly $18.00 pizza that for the goodwill of all could have been remade but Ms. Andrea, after demonstrating why she shouldn't work with people,...decided she wanted to show her lack of tolerance for those who eat differently for a deeply and significant reason. I will be sharing my experience with their corporate office. There isn't a law against being a bad employee or providing bad customer service but trying to be insulting around our food choices (due to our religious beliefs) in an attempt to "dunk on a customer" is a new low. read more

First off let me say I like Papa Murphys pizza its very yummy....BUT it gets 1 star b/c of the shitty ass service I received the other night! I phoned in an order around 8:45pm. The girl on the phone said "I can take your order and just to let you know we close at 9pm" I said "No problem I will be there by then" When I placed the order I was on Steele & 84th. Now if you know the area it does not take more than 15 min to get to 100th & Bridgeport from there. So, I headed over once I made the order. I arrived at 9:01pm. The doors were locked and they were already sweeping and cleaning. I knocked on the door. The kid working yells "WE'RE CLOSED!" I said "I understand that but I placed a phone order" He opens the door and flat out says "OH WELL ITS AFTER 9! WE'RE CLOSED! THE REGISTERS ARE CLOSED AND THERES NOTHING I CAN DO!" I said "So your telling me when I called 15 minutes ago, you made my pizza and b/c I'm here at 9:01 and you not going to allow me to pick it up?!" He said "WE'RE CLOSED!" and slammed the door in my face. I've worked in the industry before and I know it takes more than 1 freaking minute to close down a register & put everything away. So they were closed way before 9pm! Now I don't know about you but that was the most disrespectful way I have ever been talked to or treated by any business! We've always enjoyed these u-bake pizzas - they are delicious! However, last night my son woke up vomiting for most of the night. Without any other symptoms I think this was a food bourne illness. S. auerus moves through you like a tornado - it's an intensely miserable but brief episode of nausea, vomiting, cramps and/or diarrhea that may last only a few hours or, at most, a day. Likely sources include egg-based foods (egg salad, mayo-based salads, custard or cream-filled pastries), poultry, meat or dairy products that have been improperly refrigerated." I was told that Papa Murphy's was voted the best pizza chain for many consecutive years, beating out papa johns, pizza hut, dominos, etc. So of course, I had to try this pizza phenom. It's an interesting concept. Order your pizza style, they make it for you right before your eyes, saran wrap it, and you take it home to bake in your oven. A part of me thought that baking the pizza in a special oven to perfection was half of what makes a pizza great, but to my surprise, the homebaking thing works! We ordered the hawaiin style thin crust, and also tried the double decker chicago style. The thin crust was a definite winner, but the chicago style was dry and left you wanting a lot more sauce over the entire thing. But for the price, especially if you have a coupon, totally worth it! read more

Papa Murphy's will whip up an awesome (and huge!) pie in just a few minutes for less than half what it would cost to have one of the other places deliver-- the catch, of course, is you have to pick it up and then take it home to bake it. At least you know when it'll be ready and that it'll still be hot when it *arrives* (plus, no driver to tip)! There are often coupons in the News Tribune, probably available online as well... I choose to visit this Lakewood location over a couple of others that may be a bit closer because its a clean store and the employees here have always been fast, courteous, and managed to get the order right while the others (especially 72nd & Pacific) have had some problems. read more

LOVED THIS CONCEPT of to-go pizza! This was the first time I had their pizza, and was very pleased with the end result. The pizza was delicious! I had the Chicago-Style Stuffed pizza. Instructions came with the pizza, and it came on a disposable, oven safe platter so all I had to do was remove the plastic wrap and place it in the oven. The pizzeria was clean, and the ingredients fresh. The customer service was great too. The gentlemen that helped me explained the whole process since I had told him that it was my first time there, and was very nice, and appreciative. read more

I had to wait for them to finish their conversation to begin my order. she ever so slowly put on the ingredients while everyone else walked around. when I finally got my pizza I got to the car to realize I was missing one of my toppings. I go back in and the person who I later find out is the assistant manager says oh the bacon huh? This is the worst service at a Papa Murphy's Pizza I've ever experienced. My husband and I ordered online, and I must say, after both my husband and I having experience when we were younger WORKING for pizza places, this place takes the cake. Not only was our order "not there", my husband walked in, and was not acknowledged, had to wave people down and say "excuse me..?" my first point 1) inconsiderate and bad customer service. Then, after a 15-minute hassle, our order, lo-and behold, was sitting on the racks behind the person at the register..2 ) Why isn't customer service #1? My husband had to show proof after stating multiple times that we did order from this store, our pick up time, and our order confirmation number. The teenager/worker didn't bother to think that looking for our order was necessary in order to tell us that the order WASN'T, which it was indeed, there. I explained to my husband that after terrible service like that, we should have received our order for free..but they seemed to think otherwise. I wonder if they are ever treated so poorly when they venture out to eat...? Lakewood Papa Murphy's seems to think that regardless of the hassle one must go through, that they still have the right to charge you for even the worst customer service, attitude, and a task so simple that you'd think that did it daily. The customer should be welcomed, thanked, and asked to come again...Which we will not be doing. Good grief. read more

Horrendous service, with six employees available only one was taking orders from a customer who had no idea what they wanted meanwhile the other five customers and myself were looking at all of the other employees who are busy mopping, making online orders or talking on the phone, anything to avoid eye contact with customers who desperately wanted to get their food and get out even though the manager herself Kayla asked if I had an online order I said yes but I just hadn't paid for it thus I had to go wait 10 minutes for something that I had already ordered just to pay for it read more

So I was a bit nervous to order a pizza and have to cook it at home, but it turned out amazing. This is definitely going to move up my list of favorites. My husband called in an order and when I went to pick it up, the order was closed out at the register. There was no record of what he called in and thus, no pizza was ready for pick up. There was no explanation nor amends made for this error. I was in town shopping and happened upon a papa Murphy in Lakewood. I love pizza but had never had one from this chain I paid $14 and change for one that still needed to be baked. I thought I read the directions , I set the oven to pre heat then tried to figure out how to get it off cardboard. I ended up rolling it and unrolling it on the pizza pan. Well I couldn't check the crust to see if it was done because it was stuck to the pan. So the crust wasn't done and half of the crust was stuck to the pan. When I talked to my son he told me it was suppose to be left on the cardboard. I called the store and asked where it said that the pizza should be left on the cardboard and the young lady said she'd have to ask someone. Well she came back to phone and said they would replace it if I brought it back today. I said I can't get back till tomorrow. She said they would only replace it if I brought it today. They would however give me 3.00 off my next pizza. Wow! What next pizza? I hadn't had a first one yet. I won't go back, I think it's poor customer service. read more

I called in an order and had to ask for the total. I thought it was kind of high for 2 pizzas, so I checked online and found I could get the exact same thing online for $10 cheaper. I ordered it online and called the store back immediately (3 mins after call in order was placed) told them what I found and cancelled my call in order. Long story short...they didn't cancel my call in order, and my credit card was charged. So I paid for 4 pizzas and only got 2 and had to pay 10 bucks more than the online order. They told me that my husband picked them up before I called to cancel the order. Not true. I was talking to the assist manager who offered very little help and had poor service recovery. I still have not received notification that my card was credited back for the online purchase. I will travel to University Place Papa Murphys next time! read more

Went to go pick up my pizza normally it a great pizza but the last few times I went the customer service has gone down hill after speaking to the manager Andrea I can see why the pizza are great does not bother me when I got to cook it my self but what does bother is bad customer service and a manager that is the one doing it this company needs to stop and see the way she is really and the health department needs to spend more time in there for it being a point when no one there but me to pick up a pizza clean your work space, sweep the floor clean, and wash the the measuring cup used in each container and last but least if your going to get all mad when I call you out on a complete lie wait until the customer leaves before you talk crap yes I heard Andrea not a good leader in the food business industry I have worked in it for over 27 years you can't make everyone happy but you can respect what a customer says it there money that keeps this business open read more
