This was my first time at a Papa Murphy's so I wasn't sure what to expect. I love that we get to take the pizzas home and bake them whenever we're ready to eat it so it's as fresh as possible. We ordered a pizza and a salad. Pizza looked okay but tasted like tomato paste, no pepperoni or herb flavor...that's it. Salad was brown, wilted, and the container was only half full. I ordered garden salad but the guy said" well, all we have left is a meditator a Caesar salad"...both looked awful! When questioned about how much was in the container he tole me that that's how we always make them. He never offered a refund or anything. I've been using this Papa Murphy's for years and never got food like this!! Come on PM....you can do better than this! read more

This pizza is OK. I remember going to Papa Murphy's in Austin maybe 15 years ago. And I always thought the pizza was pretty good. Maybe I just didn't know any better. OK, so I ordered a pizza with pineapple, zucchini, artichoke hearts, and extra sauce. No one seems to carry green olives anymore, so I have to add my own. To start with, the pineapple (tiny cubes) has no flavor. If I didn't know pineapple was on the pizza, I would have no idea what the cubes were. How is it possible that the pineapple has no flavor? How does it not taste like pineapple? Is it because they cut it into such small pieces and there's not enough to run over your tongue to get the flavor? I don't know, but that's really suspect. Next, if you're offering artichoke hearts, actually put on artichoke hearts. The leaves are nice, but artichoke hearts are the meaty part of the artichoke. If you're not gonna put that on there then change your menu to say artichoke leaves. But still it's nice to see artichoke hearts on a menu, because not many companies offer it. The zucchini was also cut very thin. Not thick enough to really get the flavor. Also, I ordered extra sauce, but there didn't seem to be much sauce in the center. So if you're eating a pizza the traditional way (triangles), the first bite has no sauce. Lots of sauce at the edge though. I also ordered stuffed crust. When it came out of the oven, the cheese in the crust was nice and soft. But after 30 minutes, that cheese turned very rubbery. Maybe check with Papa John's to see what they do, because theirs is perfect and stays soft all the time. Would I order from this place again? Probably, but I would need to call in my order so that I could specify what they need to do, or maybe it's better to just go to the store top make sure that they do it right. Also maybe get less cheese. It was a lot of cheese! read more

Papa Murphy's is under new management. I got to try it recently and it was really good! Had the Gourmet Vegetarian pizza, with non-dairy cheese, and after cooking it at home, my friend and I just gobbled it up! So easy, fast, and convenient to grab on your way home - will definitely be back! read more

My wife went there about a month ago to get us a pizza because we loved the idea of a fresh baked pizza and the way it made the whole house smell like a pizzeria which was great. This time though, she came home empty handed and told me that the New Braunfels store that we go to on Walnut was completely trashed. She said there was food on the floor and trash behind the counter. I was shocked and asked if she was sure and she said, she should have taken pictures to show me how filthy it was. Needless to say, we haven't been back and I really loved getting pizza from there until that. My advice is to check the area inside the store before you order anything, just to make sure your food is contaminated by filth. Just sayin'. read more

Papa Murphy's is officially DEAD. I moved to town in 1998 and Papa Murphy's came to town a few years later. Before today the last time I was there was about a month ago and got a half ass version of my old favorite. Being a 40 year restaurant industry Vet, I decided to look the other way ......manager change, one rogue employee.....but today I went back and ordered my old fave and got the same wrapped pile of garbage as I got a month ago. HERE IS WHO THEY ARE NOW: Half the Ingredients you got before.....and those ingredients are no long prime pizza toppings.....they are what is known in the industry as "pieces".....the stuff the supplier sweeps up from the floor. Either the company is going bankrupt, the company has been sold to a loser or the company has decided to milk these units for a few years with a double profit margin.....as long as YOU don't pay attention. Anyway.....I'm now OUT.....this is a trash place. The Interior has fallen apart and the guy who made my pie today looked like he had just crawled out of bed .....thrown on his two week old dirty gym shorts and went "to work". The people at the counter the these last two visit hax close to zero IQ's....zero customer service training.....and were absolutely bottom of the barrell. I'm probably a Marco's guy now.....but will NEVER return to this roach trap. It's day is passed. read more

I called about 40 minutes before closing to place an order and the kid gives me the "just so you know were closing at 10." Ok, I get you dont want to be there or take another order, but I'll be there soon to pick it up. Rushed to the restaurant, got stuck at a train, still made it there at 9:58 and the lights are off and the doors locked. read more

I know it was last minute to go to Pappa Murphy's. But I pulled up at 7:50pm and the staff locked the door before I got out of the car so no point trying since they were turning off the lights. Maybe should change the closing time to 7:50 and not 8. Love coming here. I wasn't even going to have them make anything I just wanted to grab something that was pre-made. I have been debating about posting this for awhile, but it has been really bothering me so I finally decided to make a review. I went in about a month ago and there was this older gentleman who went before me ordering a pizza. Sweet old man who was saying how he is happy about getting an all meats pizza for his wife and saying how all meat pizza is her favorite pizza and this male with purple hair said to him "oh trust me hunny it's mine too if you now what I mean" making a facial gesture and everything. He made the older gentleman and myself highly uncomfortable. Other than him I have had great experiences there and love coming there but I think what he did was highly unprofessional. read more

The Papa Murphy's in New Braunfels (only one) has been going gradually downhill for awhile. It's a real shame that whoever owns this business franchise does not care. I managed and ran (did everything) in a italian pizza restaurant in the past and know there is so much missed potential. So here are my observations for improvement- either take them or watch this place close in 2022- Don't let young kids run the store. There is a constant turnover of staff. No one who works here takes any pride in their work, they are unclean in appearances ( greasy hair hanging in their faces/clothes unclean) and there are no covid precautions being taken here, forget sanitation. I was here yesterday and a young man eating a cupcake in one hand walked up to the register and waited on a man while still clomping down on the cupcake. The staff runs the register then steps over and starts preparing food without any handwashing. The store is dirty. Hire a retired person and pay them a little to manage the place. Someone with some experience who can keep these kids in line and yet be a positive role-model for them. I've never seen anyone who appears to be in charge of things. Obviously the kids are in a hurry to get off work so when is the cleaning done? It's not done. The restroom floor has months of dust against the wall. Wanna see the tip cup fill up kids? Clean yourself and learn some basic public relations on your own because nobody here cares what you do. I believe this was my last visit. read more

We stopped by after the kids soccer practice on Friday and picked up the cheesy bread, garlic chicken pizza & Chicago style. Omg, they were all fabulous! The ingredients is fresh, plentiful, and flavorful! It only takes 10-12 minutes to bake, so by the time we got home, got the kids settled and the car unpacked, the pizzas were ready! So easy! This will be out regular Friday night pizza stop! Highly recommend for anyone wanting to try something new. read more

Crisp and friendly service, this "joint is always on point." I usually order ahead online and my order is faithfully there made fresh, waiting on me. And the price is right too. The first time I went here it was because I was in the parking lot to make a phone call and there was a constant stream of people in and out for 30 minutes. I kept thinking how could a place that sells Un cooked pizza that you have to go get and isn't cheaper than delivery be so freaking busy. So I said what the hell. The pizza was incredible. I came here today to get the kiddos a pizza. My 3yr autistic son picks his meat off his pizza and refuses to eat the other parts so I requested the meat on the bottom and cheese on top. Worst experience I have ever had with a food establishment. I purchased 4 family sized pizzas ($50) and brought them home to bake. Followed directions on sheet and dinner started baking. In about 8-10 minutes smoke started coming out of my ovens and filling my house. We rushed to see what was occurring and two of the pizzas had charred black from the special tray burning. Smoke poured out of my ovens and the pizzas were ruined. I called to complain and the customer service was awful. Basically, "your problem not ours, we don't refund for any reason". Was told it was my fault for cooking two pizzas at a time which Jesse (asst mgr) explained was an occurrence he knows well after working there for 8 years and having the same hung happen to him. No warnings whatsoever on the instructions that baking two at a time will almost burn your house down. Zero compassion from Jesse and zero compassion from Chantel (store mgr), I should have known that baking two pizzas at a time was a fire hazard. Unbelievable responses and my first Yelp review ever! I will never go to a Papa Murphy's again and I will do everything in my power to inform the public about this horrible safety hazard that Papa Murphy's knows all about and does nothing. No wonder the Pearland location closed, worst food and customer experience ever. read more

However, can't use the online only coupons because online down and they will not let you order over the phone. Think outside the pizza box and help your customers be your customer. We drive up at 7 pm on the dot. Store says it doesn't close until 8 pm. Knew something was fishy when I drove up because there were girls in there dressed like they were going to a party behind the counter and in the kitchen. (No one was dressed like they work there.)
