I want to start out with excellent customer service. I wanted an extra garlic Alfredo, chicken, spinach, mushroom, spinach, mozzarella, and Parmesan, thin crust, pizza. So I put in my order and paid online. It told me my pizzas would be ready in 30 minutes. I got there right when they should have been ready. I expected to walk in and pick up my pizzas. Nope. There were 2 men in front of me who were deciding what the wanted, ordering and paying separately. Ok that's fine, not a huge deal. I finally get up there and they can only find one of my pizzas. They finally find the other one sitting out in the counter only partially made. It was the crust with sauce and a pile of cheese not spread around and no other toppings. So how long did it sit there? Who knows. I should have asked for a totally new one but I was surprised and didn't think about it. I had to them wait while they finished making my pizza. I was very unhappy but just took my pizzas and left. I would have given less stars but the pizza ended up being really good. Tons of toppings as requested and made just like we like them. It was $10 Tuesday so we got a good deal too. I had decided I would never go back but the pizza was worth the mistake. I would ask for a new pizza if it happened again though. read more

Papa Murphy's has a special where you can get: - a large pepperoni, or - a large pepperoni & sausage, or - a large cheese pizza For $5.00. Good deal! The toppings are liberal, the sauce is fine, and the cheese is... cheesy? Too bad the crust is gag-inducing. I'll own up to the fact that I may have played a large part in the first failed attempt at baking these thin crust pizzas. It's been a while since I've been to PM so even though I followed the directions to the letter, I should have realized it wasn't done when I pulled a slice out and the dough was just as gooey as the cheese. I'll chalk that up to operator error. PM is not going to be held responsible for the first $5.00 that I wasted. The second time (next day), after my brothers called my culinary abilities into question, I knew that the pizzas needed to be left in for significantly longer than the directions stated. This was done. The cheese was bordering on becoming burned before it was taken out. And the crust was still all... floppy. Not like a good NY style floppy but an undercooked, doughy, disgusting floppy. Also, it has a strong yeast quality to it, that... Words fail me right now. I'm so sad. Use the online coupons (when available) and get their regular pizzas. Avoid this $5.00 crap. It is so awful, and makes me long for Lil Caesar's. Yeah, that bad. read more

I wanted a pizza, but I didn't want it now. Ever get that feeling? So I checked out Papa Murphy's, conveniently located near my 'hood. Not many things are. Being of the thin-crust, carnivorous clan, I opted for the Meat Delite - a thin crust pizza with sausage, pepperoni, and ground beef, and btw they don't skimp on the ingredients (see pic) The store itself is really clean and the staff was friendly enough, and I soon walked out with my pizza. The directions say 12-18 minutes, and mine looked about done at 17. I have a timer and an OCD streak so trust me on that although YMMV. The crust, as Jeff M pointed out, was a bit floppier than I like. I too think it's either technique and/or oven related. I'm going to try this again a little lower in the oven, a little higher on the temp and a minute or so longer, but this attempt wasn't as crispy as I expected. It was pretty darn tasty though although the sauce was just a touch too much on the sweet side for my taste, but overall very good. Normally, All-American is just as close and convenient, and I'm a hard-core fan of their pizza. But for those times when I'm passing by and maybe want a pizza for later the convenience of Papa Murphy's is a winner. read more

I kind of forget about Papa Murphy's, but it is a good option on a busy day. All the convenience of take out, and tastes much better to me than a frozen pizza. Plus, I have them use a lot less cheese than they normally do, and it really makes a difference. Even going light on the cheese, it still looks like a ton of cheese to me. I ordered the Spicy Fennel Sausage, one of their Gourmet Delite pizzas on a thin crust. I added some extra veggies to up the nutritional value, and asked for about half the normal amount of cheese. Once I got it home, I added a fresh spinach salad and baked it until it was extra crispy. To me, this was as good as most of the gourmet pizza around town. I think I'll be moving Papa Murphy's up on my list! read more

As far as takeout pizza goes I think Papa Murphy's is the best. The ingredients are always super fresh. The crust is super yummy and the sauce is excellent. You can can have the pizza's built any way you like or have one of their many specialty pizza's made. The "Chicago Stuffed" or "5 Meat Stuffed" pizzas are fantastic, especially if you are feeding several people at once. The only pizza I've had from there that I didn't like was the "herb chicken Mediterranean deLite". That one got a resounding "yuck" from all four people at the table that night. Other than that they are awesome :) The best part, and the part that confuses most people, is that they make the pizza and you bring it home and bake it yourself. No problems there, because they give you the sheet it cooks on and the directions. Which means your pizza is always right out of the oven fresh every time. It also means, should you want to cheat a little and impress friends, you can throw it in the oven when you have company and claim it as your own! read more

Excellent gourmet pizzas, with lots of awesome veggies. They have meat options too. Everything Is very customizable. It costs as much as Pizza Hut but with better turn out. And yes you have to bake the pizza at home but it comes out exactly like you want. And it doesn't have much oil / grease. read more

Our family loves this place. We eat their pizza at least once a week. My favorite is the chicken, spinach and artichoke pizza. The kids love Canadian bacon pizza and a package of cookie dough. I've even gone in there just for a salad! The Gluten free crust is outstanding!! The whole take-and-bake your own pizza makes it fun. read more

We've been going to this location for a while as it's 3 blocks from our house. Tonight we stopped by just minutes before 8:00 & while other customers were leaving - they locked the doors! The employees acted like they didn't see us & were the only people/car in the whole parking lot. So we found the Papa Murphy's at 150th & May which Yelp shows being opened until 9:00pm. We arrived @ 8:20 to discover this store also closed at 8:00. However, these employees met us at the door to let us know they were closed & after learning of the Hefner store locking their door before 8pm, they offered to make our pizza!! In short these 2 employees were very courteous & kind & have certainly earned our future business. We will gladly drive the extra 6 miles from now on! Awesome store!!! read more

I have a tip for a crispy crust. Heat the oven to 400 and bake on the lower rack with the oven door partially open, and keep an eye on it. Lift the edge of the pizza to see how the crust is looking. When it looks like it's getting a little dark, close the door. Still, you must check to make sure it is not getting too dark on the bottom. If you think it is where you like it, move the pizza up a bit to finish off the top. This may take a little practice, and you could ruin the pizza, but if you are careful and attentive, it'll work out. Good luck. Mel Wright read more

This Papa Murphy's has more customers than they want or need! We like Papa Murphy's because we can get what we WANT, usually.. Three times now, we have gone in to get a medium pizza, and three times we were argued with and were refused mediums. Tonight was the last straw. We were told that they were not making mediums. When I asked for the owner's name, Thomas came out and said that he was the owner and they did not medium pizzas and would not make them. When I said we would not be back, he said that was fine and we had nothing else to discuss. Wow! I do not recommend this restaurant and suggest another one. Great Customer Service is Papa Murphy's motto. This location is not embracing this. I suspect this one will be gone before too long. read more
