I just have to say this place is a hidden gem. I've ordered TWICE from DoorDash & they just go over the top everytime! I order quite a lot because I'm too lazy to cook dinner sometimes & it's great having leftovers for lunch tomorrow. However when I recieved DoorDash from this place, their portions are EXTREMLY generous. I'm happy to see an abundance of food esp in this economy, not to mention seriously delicious !!! my boyfriend is obsessed with their chicken Alfredo & im a big fan of the lasagna. My family and I recently moved around this area and are always looking for new restaurants to try. I drove by this place many times but never tried it until last weekend. What attracted me to try it was their sign that they offered gluten free items. My son has a wheat allergy so any pizza place that offers gluten free items is a place I want to try! My family went for dinner last weekend and because it was our first time there, we bought a variety of items to try to see what we liked. We tried the BBQ chicken pizza, the gluten free pizza, kids pepperoni pizza, the gluten free baked ziti, the shrimp scampi, chicken sandwich, and the buffalo wings. I called in the order and by the time we arrived, we only waited a few minutes before our order was ready. There are some tables outside so we took our food and there. What a feast! Everything tasted delicious! The gluten free crust is one of the best I've had. The BBQ chicken pizza is good, although I prefer a thicker crust like what they used for the kids pepperoni pizza. Buffalo wings were good and came with fries. Didn't care for the fries, they were soggy. Chicken sandwich was crispy and yummy as were both pastas! My family loved it here and my husband has declared this our new pizza place! read more

They have what I consider to be the best gluten-free pizza with vegan-free cheese I've ever had! There is a bit of dairy in the crust which I found out later, but I guess not enough to cause me a challenge big enough to stop eating it. read more

Papa Pizza Pie has become my favorite pizza spot -- and that says a lot! You can tell they really have the business side down, but the food is even better! Everything from the pizzas to the garlic bread, bread sticks to the wings, and soups to the cakes are delicious! I live in Duarte but don't mind making the drive for a good pizza pie! Welp, the pepperoni was okay. I hadn't had their pizza since their old location. I recall not being impressed, in fact not being a fan, but today I thought I'd give it another shot. My opinion hasn't changed. Everybody's opinion on pizza can vary. Just because I'm not a fan really means nothing. They had steady traffic going in to get food, so there's something good in there. I'm giving 3 stars because I feel it would be cruel to give less, and I had some wine. I support small business and I'll be a cheerleader from the sideline. read more

We ordered an antipasto salad which was full of meats, cheese, onions, mushrooms, olives, pepperoncini and big enough for 4. We ordered a medium thin crust Papas Supreme. Papa pizza pie is sooooo good! The quality of their dough and ingredients can't be beaten for the price. If you love Red Devil in Covina, this is right up there with them but for a more affordable price. Their party-sized pizzas are amazing! I served it at my drive-by baby shower and it was wiped out and my family consists of tough critics. I have also ordered their spaghetti, antipasto salad, and hot wings all everything was delicious. If you have not had this pizza then you are missing out. My husband and I are within walking distance and we're starving for this pizza. We though that it was closed by the way that the patio looked ( nothing was set out) but we walked up to the dirt anyways and I'm so glad we did. Without knowing anything we ordered a simple pepperoni and cheese pizza and some wings. It was a bit on the pricy side but we are always okay with getting what you pay for! I really appreciate that Papa Pie added an awesome vegan menu! The vegan pepperoni pizza is my fav. Their vegan cheese is delish and taste better than cheese made from mother cows milk. If you like meatball subs, try it vegan! Its the same taste as meat minus the cholesterol and saturated fats. The staff is nice and food is ready on time. One complaint though, if you are still serving food than it should be illegal to close your restrooms. So as a first time customer I expect to be wooed.. I'm afraid that I wasn't. I ordered a gluten free pizza with pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon, mushrooms and red peppers . Medium. Was told it would take one hour. And I ordered it around 6:10 pm so I figure 7 pm. I received my pizza at 7:30 pm. It looked fantastic and I grabbed the box and it was barely warm.. brought it inside and opened the nice looking pizza, but it was almost cold. I called and told them that I received the pizza at 7:30 and it was lukewarm. I was out then put on the phone with "Papa". I was told that it was because of covid problems and that if I just warmed it up in a toaster oven it will be fine. And next time I would order ask for Papa and he would give me a discount. I asked for the discount now and he said well he would have to charge my card twice and it would be a 72 hour wait to get it changed.. blah blah blah. So for a first time customer being told how wonderful the food is, I agree it tastes great.. However businesses are not only about the food.. I also pay for the service! $3.99 for delivery and $19.99 plus tax for a medium pizza. I will have to rethink whether I will order again.. I guess lesson learned.. "covid" ruins everything! Ok, so I'm updating my review (again) because I feel that I was overly harsh before... I was really upset that I was told the gluten free crust was vegan when it wasn't. That sucked. (I was also pregnant & very hormonal & was really upset to have unknowingly ingested eggs several times...Just being honest. ‍) HOWEVER, I also understand that mistakes happen. Running a successful restaurant takes A LOT of work & I'm sure they are doing the best they can. I also have to say how grateful I am that this restaurant is willing to offer so many vegan options. And they really are damn good! The regular, non gf crust is vegan and it is delicious. They also have fantastic vegan sandwiches & a vegan Cobb salad that is one of the best I've had. Their vegan ranch is killer! I also appreciate the owners respectful response to my previous upset. I no longer live in the area but decided to give them a try again on a recent visit & really enjoyed the food. I will go back & I hope others are willing to give them a try. read more

This used to be one of my go to places for vegan pizza and all I can say is I was deeply disappointed today. I ordered my usual vegan margherita pizza with vegan pepperoni and they've definitely changed the cheese and the pepperoni. The pepperoni today was thick and salty and they now use daiya cheese which is my least favorite vegan cheese. The other two pizzas we got were the regular pizzas with chicken and pepperoni but they hardly had any cheese. I understand a lot places are trying to cut corners to save money but if it's going to drastically change the flavor of the food at least cut down on the price instead of making it more expensive. read more
