After checking Instagram, I learned they were participating in the West Covina Electric Boba Fest & Night Market. Each pizza is made to order and took about 15 minutes to prepare. Pizza was a 5/5 . Loved the chewy texture , fresh ingredients reminded me of being back in Positano Italy. I will definitely come back for that . But I won't be adding the 8$ fresh burrata , it had a sour taste to it, I couldn't eat it unfortunately /: and I would say skip their ranch . The food is DELICIOUS I have had the Diavola (personal favorite) Carnivora, and Salsiccia and they all are authentic and amazing flavors of Italy. This place beats everyone in town and the family is so nice and humble. They deserve all the success and I have become a loyal customer and will keep coming to this place for my pizza. Look... I'm no pizza expert, but I believe this food truck has some of the best Neopolitan-style pizza Los Angeles has to offer. In 2023, Yelp ranked this as the 13th top pizza spot in the US and Canada, which is an awesome accolade if you think about how many pizza spots are out there. Anyway, my go-to has always been the Salsiccia, which is a mushroom-and-sausage pizza. Other favorites include the Carnivora for meat eaters and the Margherita if you want something classic. The dough is soft and chewy with nicely charred blisters around the crust, the sauce they use really sings, and the ingredients (particularly the basil) are fresh and flavorful. I definitely recommend eating their pies as soon as you receive them. My wife and I don't even wait to drive back home because we know the best time to eat a piping hot pizza is right away. I look forward to trying their pesto-based pizzas, like the Regina, next time we visit! read more

First, know that YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A FOOD TRUCK. This is a key piece of information you should know and hopefully you're reading these reviews because I just pulled it up on Yelp without looking and started driving, trying to find it by the address listed, which of course, was inaccurate--it's on Arrow, not Barranca, so I don't know why they listed it as such. Second of all, know that Google is not going to take you to the right place if you click on "get directions" from the Yelp app. The pin that's visible on the Yelp map is close but it's actually across the street from that pin. It's across the street from Neighborhood Christian Fellowship and the Church of Christ in Covina. It's parked in front of a vacant empty drainage city ditch. Now for the food--it's probably closer to 4.5 stars. I will take responsibility and say that I brought it home and we didn't eat right away, so that it was probably a little soggier than if I'd eaten it right there. BUT it was 90 degrees outside and 4.30pm, so that wasn't gonna happen. But I did only have to wait 5 minutes for the Salsiccia and Carnivora bc there was nobody ahead of me at that time LOL. A few minutes in the toaster oven restored it to its (presumably) former glory. I LOVED the gigantic fresh mushrooms and the Italian sausage was tasty. The crust, though a little too charred in places for my liking, had decent flavor. What I didn't love was that they were $20/pizza for a relatively smaller pie. They were bigger than personal pizzas, and could probably feed 2, *maybe* 2.5 persons. They're maybe 11"? I'd measure, but it's all gone, haha. I get that I'm getting authentic Neapolitan pizza which is hard to come by around here, but I guess the 5 stars raised my expectations a bit too much. read more

Had this at first Friday's in Venice. First thing I notice was oven they make everything in. Ordered a calzone, guy helping me was super helpful in helping me decide. Watching them put it together brought something more to it. When it came out they still spent about another 5 mins to add more to it which just made that flavor so much better. A classic Neopolitan! My first time trying this place and with such high ratings my expectations were high. Ordered a Salsiccia, received a beeper and waited about 10-15 minutes. Owner was friendly enough. Though the people that ordered about 5 minutes after me ended up getting their 2 pizzas before my 1. Noticed that it wasn't until after they placed their order that they started preparing all the pizzas with mine last. Impressions: Visually looks solid with some nice char spots. Dough was light and airy with a good chew. Sauce amount looked right as it wasn't too wet but was way too light, didn't have that San Marzano freshness and needed salt. Toppings were fine but didn't pop as much expected. What made me really sad was how floppy the bite was. I ate it right in the car so I didn't let it sit and get soggy. Normally when you eat Neopolitan the bottom is completely dry but I found my fingers greasy from the flop getting ingredients everywhere. Really wanted to like this spot being so close to home but I think overall Adamz Pizza Stop in Hacienda makes a much better Neopolitan. They could do better but I might find myself here out of convenience and to give them another shot. My experience doesn't seem to reflect what others have experienced. I've had my eye on this truck, especially because I believe the owners live nearby and I usually see it parked on Arrow Highway in Covina. I decided to try it after hearing the owner is from Italy! If you're looking for the traditional American based pie, you won't get that here however, this pizza might be the closest thing to Italy!!! I ordered the Salsiccia which features sweet Italian sausage, mushrooms, sauce, mozzarella and basil. I think everything paired extremely well and the sweetness of the sausage was my favorite! The dough is super thin and you get that nice char from the pit they are using. Because I'm so used to the American style of pizza, I was looking for a sturdy undercarriage and I didn't get that here and that's okay because it was still pretty damn good. I definitely would give them a try, I think it's amazing that we have something like this in Covina. Also, the service was super quick! The pizza here is spectacular and has become one of my favorite Neapolitan pizza spots by far. There is a pizza oven inside the truck where they cook the pizza. They have two tables available in front of the truck under a canopy which is nice so you can eat your pizza fresh. The owners are a friendly couple and they have a large glass window on the side of the truck where you can watch them make your pizza fresh to order. I ordered the Regina pizza and it was delicious! It comes with an outer spread of pesto, tomato sauce in the middle, basil leaves, mozzarella cheese, and a large dollop of ricotta cheese in the center. This simple pizza was made fast and tasted great. I love their chewy dough and the ricotta cheese is perfect with the pesto and tomato flavors. Overall this is one of my favorite spots for a delicious Neapolitan pizza and I would highly recommend trying them out! read more

Located on Arrow Hwy, there is plenty of surrounding street parking. I believe this truck is family-owned, and the service is amazing. Extremely friendly and helpful. Some amazing qualities about this place. The pizza truck has a fire oven inside. WHAT?!? And you are able to see the pizzaiolo preparing your pizza. The ambiance is a little bit nosy, considering we are next to busy traffic. But, it is an amazing spot to chill with your friends, plus, there are 2 tables to sit at. Keep in mind, that if you are going towards the evening, bring a sweater or jacket. It does get a little windy and cold, during the fall months. I got the Salsiccia Pizza, and my friends got the Calzone and Margherita. I HIGHLY recommend eating the pizza right when you get it. Sit down in your car or at a nearby table, and try a piece first. You will gobble it up so quick. The quality and freshness of these pizzas are to die for. The dough is SUPER SOFT and chewy. The ingredients are superb. The cheese is delightful. I cannot find anything wrong with this pizza. Typically, I would think some pizzas are burnt on the bottom, but they bake it perfectly. I pass by this street so often but didn't even notice the truck parked on the street and I'm glad that we decided to try it today. I don't care for marinara sauce but am open to trying them as I know everyone loves pizza. When we walked up the lady said they also have a special of lasagna or meatballs, which weren't on the menu, so we added an order of lasagna ($16). We also ordered the Salsiccia pizza because I love mushrooms. It comes with sweet Italian sausage, mushrooms, tomato sauce, mozzarella, fresh basil. The 5 stars is for the Salsiccia pizza and their service. They were friendly and had fast service. It felt like I didn't wait long at all for the pizza. The Salsiccia pizza has a soft crust, which I loved. It didn't taste underdone and most pizzas I feel like have too hard of a crust for me and I end up not eating the crust. This crust was perfect for me. The flavoring was also good, I enjoyed the toppings a lot. The lasagna I would say is a 4, as it wasn't really for either of us (I had to get my friend's feedback too since I'm not big on marinara sauce). I'd go back for sure, but would be interested in trying the pesto pizza without the tomatoes :) At the time we went there was only one other car in front of us waiting for their food. Honestly, I've had pizza places were known for good pizza. From LA to NY+ to Napoli, and honestly this is some of the best I've had. I seek out good pizza, especially Napoli style and again, this is one of the best, if not the best in the US. Rivals some in Naples, I have to say. Even their Marinara Pizza which is basic, no cheese, is phenomenal. The Sauce and dough!!! The Pesto, Regina and Diavola are my faves. I haven't tried the pasta but need to.
