The staff here is friendly but being a very small hole in the wall place it's better to order take out and eat at home. They get really busy during the lunch rush and with limited seating u may have to wait awhile unless someone is willing to share a table with you. This is a great place if you're looking for some pork, the bbq pork is amazing although it might be a bit sweet at times, the service is absolutely amazing with friendly staff, it wasn't very crowded and that can be a good and also bad thing, good thing is you can get amazing food really quickly, bad thing is that it means the business isn't running well, which surprises me because this place is great! The only thing i think needs to be improved is the menu and the place, the menu doesn't list the drinks, for example the Thai Tea with boba isn't in the menu, and the place could use a rework, a new coat of paint maybe, add some decorations, the door seems old too, and definitely needs more advertising! read more

My family and I were in Honolulu for a little over a week and came here twice! Also gabbing food to go! Food is delicious! The Cantonese staff here were very friendly. We ordered the Char Siu noodle soup (my favorite dish- perfect for cold rainy days or even if you're craving something warm to eat and drink), cold chicken half, chicken chow fun, crispy noodle with seafood, and fried rice. That goes to saying, no matter what you order, it WILL be AMAZING! The restaurant is small so seating is limited but they do a good job finding seats to accommodate you. Dishes will come one at a time but it's worth the wait to work on one entree until the next one comes out. Also, family style is the best way to order! You're going to want to try everything!! Good food, good value, stumbled onto this place while in Chinatown for a brief visit. Had the char siu noodle soup and beef chow funn. Food came out pretty fast and it was fresh, tasty, and good portions. Reminds me of the Cantonese eateries around home. Also got the honeydew with pearl - most are made with fresh fruit and the ones with powder are noted. We're ready to go back to try the other drinks, unfortunately we're not local :/. read more

Stopped in Chinatown while on Oahu and found this wonderful café. While it is a small "hole in the wall" café, the food is beyond delicious. I have always been a fan of Orange Chicken, this place has effectively ruined Orange Chicken for it as no other place will live up to how delicious this place is. I spent a week in Oahu and took every opportunity to somehow be near Chinatown around lunch time so I could stop in and eat. This chicken was so good, that my picky 4 year old son now loves both Orange Chicken as well as rice (I would fight him previously to just try Chinese food to no avail, but the aroma of their food had him ready to both dig in as well as eat a large portion of my food). The prices of this place are very reasonable, and the staff is super friendly. If you are in Oahu, I would highly recommend finding some excuse to swing by Chinatown and grab some of the best Chinese food you will ever find. As a side note, their café is located close to where the busses run so it easy to take public transportation both to and from their place. read more

Incredible hidden gem!!! This place is actually kept clean and neat by the friendly staff and the food is super great value plus delicious! Try their noodles laksa! There's not a lot of places in town for laksa actually! Their chicken meal special is amazing. I couldn't believe how much food you get. I think they can charge low prices because of the lousy location. If they were in a better location they'd have to jack up their prices. Cake noodle: EXCELLENT! Service awesome. Price is right. I walked in less than 10 minutes before they were closing on a Saturday; they were obviously packing up and ready to go, yet had no problem at all seating another customer. I asked for Oyster Sauce Chicken on Cake Noodle (the bone is where the flavor is often times!) but they were out. They did have minute chicken though (boneless), so I went for it. It was GREAT! The cake noodle was ono-licious. I would recommend making the trek to anyone who is looking for a better than average noodle experience. I crave noodles quite a bit and that day, it was cake noodle, which it is not often that I do. And when I do, I will do my best to make it to Papas. read more

I hope they get the address changed on Yelp. It is not on Maunakea Street, it is on Hotel Street between Maunakea and River. I got a little lost since i was trying to follow my dot on the yelp map on my phone to get there. I finally had to call my mom who told me about the place. I got take out food from here and the service was pretty quick. I ordered minute chicken with cake noodles, their signature duck, salted fish and chicken fried rice, beef brisket, macau rice noodle. This is my first time visiting this restaurant. I am a tourist from San Francisco. I ordered the Shrimp Won, Beef Brisket noddle soup and beef chow fun. All of them are above my expectation. The shrimp won ton come with a full shrimp and the skin is thin, it is quite a pleasant surprise to me. Beef Brisket is tender and the favor is just right. Taste-wise, it is even better than a lot of Chinese restaurants in San Francisco. The server is friendly as well. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more
