Papa's is one of the few places that's open late in Cloverdale so we ate here after our movie. They closed at 9 but we got our pizza to go and they were quick about it. Sadly when we took our pizza back, it wasn't that great but it was enough to fill us up. It's unfortunate that this area doesn't have a stellar restaurant. Considering the small size, something with good eats would flourish here but I think the people have just gotten used to what's being offered and the businesses don't care about the quality of the food. My pizza wasn't really cooked all the way through and the sauce was bland. Bleh. I ate it though because that's the only option I had. Truly sad. read more

The seating concept sucks. Got kicked out of our table and we were there first. Guess you have to get it delivered if you want a pizza.

When in Cloverdale, don't even look for any better pizza. They really have the best pizza. I moved here from Santa Rosa and this is better pizza than I got in Santa Rosa as well, unless I was looking for a thin fired crust. This place is always awesome the staff is so great! We go there all the time. Tonight we went and we were greeted by I think her name was Ariana? Sounds like that, she always has a smile on her face and speaks with such respect and love as she takes your order. my pizza was wrong she immediately took care of the issue with a smile. After that my son ran into his friend (3) the both of them. They acted like tots and aggressively bothered the poor girl more than one time. My son in particular had a toddler fit at her for putting up a sign that said a game was broken. This did not bother her one bit! She was still as chipper than ever and very nice to us and the kiddos! Bottom line, this staff is awesome! We decided after getting one of those pizza's you bake at home several times and felt the crust and toppings just didn't taste good. What was a sausage was a tiny balled up piece of meat and it did not taste good.. SO, no more! Our pizza from Papa's was great, all the ingredients were fresh, the sausage and other meats and veggies were fantastic. The crust was well cooked and was not overbearing! Really enjoyed our pizza at Papa's. We were there almost 2 weeks ago when staying in Cloverdale for the weekend. It's a very cute town and literally every local we passed when walking smiled and said hello. We were actually going to hit another restaurant but it was closed. The pizza smelled amazing and they were open so we went. We were very happy with the pizza and we got a nice starter salad - the small was a shareable portion size. Pizza was super fresh and the crust was very tasty with a little bit of sweetness. Seems like a family run place. Service was good and everyone was very friendly. Made friends with some local residents sitting next to us. Seems like a fun place. Would definitely return. read more

Just stopped by tonight and had their Mediterranean Salad (artichoke hearts, olives, feta cheese lettuce and green onions served with the dressing of your choice)...absolutely delicious and fresh! My husband and I also shared an Aloha Sub which was rich and scrumptious ! The new location is bright and fresh. Definitely a place to cool off and enjoy a great meal! I don't know how Costco can make a better pizza than these people but it's true. $10 versus sending someone's employee to college for my single pizza order, i'll go with Costco. Papa's is not just a Pizza place, it's an establishment which has history for the Town of Cloverdale. This is a must visit location if you are driving by. Food is awesome and service is great. I have been to Papa's several time and their Pizza and same all the time. It's family owned and most of the people who work there seemed locals. It has nice bar and seating area. read more

At my last visit, I had a salami, olive, and ricotta pizza at the bar. The pie was excellent. The crust had the perfect chew, and the toppings were high quality. What really got my attention is the sauce. The flavor was right in the pocket between tart, sweet, and spice. This was a holiday weekend and the place was jumping. The owner, Mike, kept a calm, friendly disposition. The long-haired bartender was super efficient and attentive. I've got to say something about Cloverdale. The customers who streamed in were incredibly friendly - smiling and joking with each other. Cloverdale, you're giving the Redwood empire a great reputation! read more

updating a previous review because I really wanted to love Papa's. So I tried them a few more times, and tried the thin crust instead of the traditional. Made ALL THE DIFFERENCE! Not what I would consider a thin crust at other places, it seems more like a hand tossed Neapolitan crust to me. Which is exactly what I love.
