Given the ever-growing bustle of cafe's and beverage shops around the area, one thinks "How does one stand out?" The boba is cooked correctly, good quality drinks, and has some creative mixes outside the average milk and fruit tea combos. You'll find small sweet treats that can accompany your drink too. Outside of the product is the experience. I've gone enough times to conclude that it varies by employee, as it is a different experience each visit. There are a few instances where employees are disgruntled they must take your order rather than using the kiosk, as well as initial impatience over customers needing clarification over ingredients and allergies. I must say, the older gentlemen are quiet, yet respectful. I'd highly recommend speaking to employees over conduct and customer service, as it greatly impacts loyalty. This shop is located in South Fontana with plenty of parking. It's clean, bright and has a few tables and chairs, as well as a self-order kiosk. I ordered the Ube Brown Sugar Crème Brulee Milk with boba and less ice. When they called my number some other guy took my drink and was gone before I could catch him. He probably just didn't pay attention to the number and we also both had Ube style drinks. I told the gentleman behind the counter and he made another drink for me, problem solved. I liked the Ube flavor, amount of crème brulee and also flavor and texture of the boba. I asked for less ice and once I finished my drink I could see that it was half full of ice. Not happy with that, since they charge you an extra $0.45 for less ice. There is also an extra $0.70 charge for boba, which brought the total for the drink after tax to $9.14, which is pretty expensive. read more

Lord have mercy! I had to leave this review after I took a bite of the Original Crème Brûlée Croffle. At this point, we don't even care about the drinks I ordered, that'll be in another review. I don't know if it's supposed to be hot, warm, or cold but by the time I ate it, which was probably 15 minutes after pickup, it was just room temp. So what this is, it's a waffle with a generous topping of fluffy crème brûlée pudding. I agree, it sounds simple and mid, but once you bite into it... Y'all, this waffle has a texture that I wasn't expecting. I tried to cut it with this cheap little plastic fork they gave me but that wasn't doing the job, so I just stabbed it and lifted the whole thing to my mouth to take a bite. It's kind of hard to explain, but the waffle is a little bit chewy, a little crispy on the edges, and a little dense...but for some reason, it all works together to make this delicious, mouthwatering dessert that you didn't know you needed until you tasted it for the first time. Life changing. Then comes the creamy, sweet, fluffy, mousse-like texture crème brûlée topping that just makes you stop and appreciate whoever inspired this creation and give them their flowers, cuz bay-bee!! They did that. Needless to say, it was very delicious. Sweet, but not cloying or overpowering, just enough to cure that sweet tooth. Listen to me. Go get you one. I don't know how long they will be sticking around, so don't wait and go down there tonight! Oh, and they come in other flavors too...matcha, chocolate, and cocoa or something like that. ASSAM BLACK MILK TEA WITH BROWN SUGAR BOBA (100% Regular Sweetness Level) Was originally going to order the Assam Black Milk Tea only, but decided to add boba. It was good and surprisingly it was not too sweet. It was actually a good sweetness level. I was debating whether to get it to 50% sweetness level, but wanted to try as a regular sweet level. The Assam Black Milk Tea was good, but it was not as strong in flavor. It tasted a bit watered down. The boba was chewy and soft and not too sweet. Overall a good experience. CUSTOMER SERVICE I was greeted upon arrival. Overall friendly service. LOCATION / PARKING This is located at Sierra Crossroads. A medium-sized outdoor shopping center. It mostly consists of places like Wells Fargo, Bank of America, The UPS Store, Starbucks, Subway, Baskin Robbins, Waba Grill, Little Caesars, Stater Bros. etc. Not the most exciting place to be. The parking lot right in front of The Alley is a small one, but there are more parking around the area and it wasn't a super busy area, so you should be fine. Would I come back to The Alley? Just not as good as the OC locations. I've been going to the Alley in Fountain Valley and Irvine for years and The Alley is one of my favorite boba spots but this location doesn't have the same quality. I was excited that they were opening up in the IE but didn't have high expectations since a lot of places out here just aren't as good as outside of the IE. I usually get a Jasmine Milk Tea, 25% sugar, but their idea of 25% seems to be much higher than other places. I still liked it, but would recommend that they work on the sugar levels, or for people to be cautious of their sugar intake. It's still good for those with a sweet tooth. I ordered the Royal No. 9 milk tea (less sweet, less ice) which is supposed to taste like blueberries. The drink, indeed, tasted like blueberry milk, and was quite sweet; however, the boba was as hard as a rock. I had higher expectations for their boba, given that this was a week after they had opened. Service was relatively quick. Prices were incredibly high (average $7-9 per drink). Asked for 100% everything as listed to the choices you have as you order. Asked for 100% ice and I received 20% ice. Boba was really warm, and my ice had already melted due to the different temperatures in my drink... as for the matcha, if you are a true matcha person this place is not for you, I got a good headache from how acidic their matcha was, it was really bitter. Then I told them but the guy with glasses and curly hair face was very hostile. Then they made me another drink. But it still didn't look the same. I tried the first sip and it tasted sour like it was spoiled. I went to tell them but they refused. They tried aiyi jelly and they said it wasn't spoiled but it tasted like that. But I know what spoiled food smells like. They didn't try the puple rice. I'm sure the purple rice was spoiled. But they didn't have any solution for me. I had to rush for that drink.
