When we arrived, we waited approximately 15 minutes past our scheduled appointment time before anyone called his name. When the hairstylist finally approached us, she took one look at my son and told us to take a seat and wait another moment. After waiting an additional 10 minutes, the front desk employee informed me that there had been a "scheduling mistake" and that the stylist did not specialize in boys' haircuts. This was particularly confusing because I had not even been asked what type of haircut my son wanted. I was then asked to wait another 15-20 minutes for a different stylist. Since we had already been waiting, I agreed. After another wait, the front desk employee came back and told me that we would need to reschedule because there was not a single stylist available who specialized in boys' haircuts. I have never encountered a situation like this, especially since there was nothing indicating that the Back-to-School special was intended for girls only. If certain services are limited by gender or hair type, that should be clearly communicated when appointments are being booked. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was spending approximately 45 minutes sitting there while the hairstylists and front desk employee repeatedly looked at my son and murmured to one another. As a parent, it was extremely uncomfortable and unsettling to watch, particularly when no one was communicating clearly with me about what was happening. Ultimately, we left without receiving the service we had scheduled. The entire experience was extremely frustrating, unprofessional, and a complete waste of our time. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves communication, scheduling, and the overall customer experience.

She colored my hair and added highlights to give it depth and then she cut my hair. I've been getting my hair cut by a Deva cut stylist for quite a while and Tina did such an amazing job with my curly hair and really brought out all of my natural curls. I'm switching over since her color and cut was so good and very reasonably priced. I loved her choice of music and she offered cold water, tea, a snack and great conversation. I love that it's a private studio and not a lot of noise, chemical smells or confusion. This is a great find for me and Miss Tina is so happy, positive and efficient.

I purposely slept on this review for two nights as to not post out of sheer rage and…read moredisappointment. With that said I went in to get brows and lip waxed. Lady was sweet but very preoccupied with personal drama. This is ok with me, it is my lot in life to commiserate, provide a shoulder and a confidential ear. I wasn't even bothered waiting for her to hang up a personal call, she was sweet about it and more importantly I have been there and am easy about stuff like that. Part two, the waxing begins... Wax was too hot. Ouch. We discussed her drama at length and I think she was elsewhere as she attempted to pull the wax strip off WITH the grain!? I must have made a face because she looked surprised and asked "What happened? Did that hurt?" To which replied "oh, no, just used to the strip coming off in the other direction. Were you even able to pick anything up?" She nodded yes but it was clear she didn't when she reapplied wax to the same spot and yanked the strip off in the CORRECT direction. OUCH. I have been getting waxed for almost twenty years and I am all too familiar what the result will be when my skin feels a certain way. It was stinging, felt raw and it burned. I knew I would be red the next day and possibly worse. Last step was to use lotion to remove wax residue. She grabbed a cotton ball and I "think" she applied some of the lotion to it. The reason why I can't be certain is because it wasn't soothing at all, it was a dry cotton ball being rubbed repeatedly on my raw and sore skin. Now I am out of town on business, in front of thousands of people for a few days with scabs all over my face. No. No. Just no. If you're wondering why I didn't just give them 1 star, it was because she was genuinely nice. So was the other lady in the shop (possibly owner). They could possibly do great hair and nails even. I just wouldn't recommend them for wax. I don't normally go here but it was a convenience issue and boy did I learn my lesson.
