Been awhile since we ate here but we were hungry after a morning doing some medical tests over at the hospital. We sat at the bar, always easier than waiting for a table and the busy service staff in the dining area. Our server at the bar greeted us and took a basic drink order to start. After he brought it, we looked at the menu and decided on some alcoholic drinks and an appetizer. But it took a bit to get our server's attention, he was buy wiping down the other end of the bar area. We finally ordered and it didn't take long to come out. The calamari was good and they add in small bits of fried octopus which was tasty and tender. Our lunch soon came out, I had the grilled oyster appetizer and a house salad with what he said was an Italian creamy vinaigrette. For me, the oysters were way over seasoned, perhaps salt and spices and were a bit over done, like they left them under the broiler too long. I was glad there were only 6 since they weren't really good. My salad came loaded with stuff, should have asked but I figured a house salad would be lettuce and maybe some other field greens, tomato, a cucumber and dressing. But this was loaded with bacon (which I don't eat at all) cheese, onions and huge croutons. I scraped all that stuff of to the salad part and took one bite and found the dressing so sweet as if it had a ton of sugar. I let our server know and asked for a salad without all the stuff on top and jus oil and vinegar. My wife had the fried shrimp platter which was quite good but OMG, there must have been a pound of French fries on the plate. She couldn't finish all the shrimp so I added it to my salad! Overall, we both agreed that maybe it's because we don't eat out a lot and do most of our cooking at home, but the food was in general over seasoned, even too salty and my wife almost always adds salt to what she serves herself at home. Restaurants have all had to increase prices since the pandemic, our lunch ended up being just over $100 before tip, guess we won't be dining out too soon.

Recent visit here was really good. We arrived without a reservation so there was a long wait; we waited about 1hr....Despite the wait, service was good, food was fresh, and delicious. Grouper and grits entree was amazing :-)

Have been to Pappadeaux at numerous locations and this particular restaurant several times throughout the years. This experience was disappointing. Unfortunately, as time has gone on the service has declined and the menu has thinned. No crab legs at Pappadeaux anymore? Multiple reasons have been given over time. The shrimp is fantastic., I will give them that, for the prices, they should be. Tried to order an Aperol spritz and was told they do not serve those. No prosecco or aperol? It's a very simple drink, even Cheesecake Factory has them. Odd. For the money, find a better seafood place that is not a chain.

Leah was amazing! Very attentive. Made sure we had everything we needed. I really appreciate her thoughtfulness. Good service like that is rare.

Best seafood and Cajun dishes for a chain restaurant! Honestly, Pappadeaux is so delicious and worth all the moneys. We always order: *crawfish & shrimp fondue *oysters on the half shell *calamari or alligator bites *swamp thing cocktail You can't go wrong with any of their pasta entrees or anything with their lump crab meat. Service has always been good to us except when we have to wait for long periods of time because they don't really have a reservation system and they get really busy here all the time.

I absolutely love this place. We chose self parking which was super easy. I had no idea you could make reservations as long as you give 2 hour notice. We didn't make reservations but the wait wasn't too long. My husband and I dined here for our birthday celebration. We had the pleasure of having Charles serve us. He told us about the specials and gave us guidance for our fruity drink choice of the evening. We selected "Life's a peach". It was very fruity and tasty. The restaurant was packed but not loud or chaotic. There was such a smooth flow about the evening which made the night even more delightful. For starters we had the crawfish and shrimp fondue. The shrimp plump and fresh. Our entrees dishes were the crawfish étouffée, and the red snapper with spinach. The spinach is the best I've ever had! Everything was absolutely delicious! We will be back.

We love Pappadeaux's and always stop when we find one! The service is always wonderful. We stopped in on our way home from our cruise and had a nice lunch for a nice treat before heading home! The food was DELICIOUS as always, maybe even better at this particular location! We love the openness and casual atmosphere. You can dress up or down and you still are welcome and feel like you belong.

I ordered red snapper with shrimp which was one of the most delicious foods I have had! My husband loved the crab cake and I nibbled on the crawfish which was pretty tasty! We had the best server. She would not leave us for extended time. I am very thankful. We sat at a large boot by the bar, but there is another section of the restaurant where you can sit at tables and chairs!

Well if you want seafood that's a little close to New Orleans this may be the place. Notice I said close. The food is real seafood and don't taste rubbery. Sometimes the food may lack a little seasoning but overall it will do for Texas. We used to go here often when I first moved to Texas over 20 yrs ago. bc my family who visited approved of the seafood. It still holds it's quality of seafood. I also like the fact that it's a great spot to gather for little occasions like graduation dinners. My aunt liked it so much she drove out here to celebrate her 60th birthday over 10 years ago. She has since passed but I enjoyed looking at the old pictures and sitting in there reminiscing on good times. It still holds true to it's name. This place will always hold a special place in my heart we have had lots of family gatherings and will continue to visit hopefully to create new memories.

The oysters are served on a generous bed of crushed ice, which is essential for maintaining the correct temperature and food safety.

Great atmosphere and outstanding service. Food portions are plentiful so you'll either be bringing home or consider sharing a dish. Strongly recommend to make reservations in advance using their website.

This location was very busy but it was only 2 of us and we got seated right away. The mood was good and the food service was quick. I ordered the shrimp and crawfish fondeaux everything was delicious my friend ordered the fried shrimp dinner substitute for a loaded baked potato. She informed the waitress that her potato was piping hot but the shrimp was cold, she stated oh do you want me to rewarm it which she opted out of.

Food and service by Blaine was the best. We celebrated our anniversary and NYE. Atmosphere was very cozy. Nice to see people out celebrating

There is a drive thru if you are in a hurry. They have a lunch special for $9.50, only thing is it's Mon-Thur and I came on my Friday off. They have a few cocktail concoctions; however, they only serve beer and wine so they're wine based. I looked over the menu which is reasonably priced and decided on the blackened catfish (1 filet) with onion rings and red beans and rice. You can choose 2 sauces so I picked tartar and remoulade. I also added an iced tea. Red beans and rice - very watery, should really have drained off most all the liquid before serving this. Good flavor though with plenty of andouille sausage in it. Onion rings - these are pretty good Catfish - this really hit the spot especially when dipping everything in the remoulade. Overall, I liked this place and will return to try other dishes.

I had never been to the previous address, but the interior design was so lovely we chose to sit at the new bar. Kady, the bartender (forgive me if I spelled it wrong) was such a doll the whole time waiting us. She kept the chips (touch of louisiana we enjoyed) next to her for refills and made the most twisted hurricane I've had. Definitely walked out clinging to my man lol. We tried the crawfish dip which came with two types of bread, though both went amazing with it. I ordered the lobster ravioli with a side of hush puppies and my old guy ordered the lamb chops, well done, with gumbo (we don't eat pork) and stuffed shrimp. Everything was so damn great tasting. I mean, damned good tasting. My only flaw was the roux could've been a little thinner, but that is absolutely it. Fabulous timeeee and I'm so recommending.

Despite a pretty empty restaurant we were told that only the bar and outside were available. And unlike many other places, they said this bar only allows 21 and older to dine in the bar area, which means only the outside for us. This being a cold (because of the wind) and cloudy morning. Sigh. Asked for a kids menu and was told it's only for 12 and under. Got the evil eye from the hostess when I said my kid qualifies. Then I offered to show them her ID and they backed off with smiles even. The complementary potato chips kind of tasted like Chips Oman. At least they weren't stale and it's a nice addition while you wait. The kiddo got the kids catfish which was just a pretty small piece of fish. Fries were good. Side fruit consisted of strawberries pineapple and red grapes. No drink included. Had to chase down the staff to get some tartar sauce. I wanted a Po Boy but was told they don't offer it on the weekends. Asked about beignets and was told it's only for dessert. Sigh. Decided to get the pork ribeye fricassee. The flavor was good but boy was it salty. Almost like they dropped a whole shaker of salt on it. Good thing there was some rice to counter the effect. Otherwise it would be inedible. So after our meal we had access to the desert menu and got a half order of beignets (4 pieces). They were ok. The dough on these is pretty thick though. Not sure if that's standard but I'd prefer light and fluffy. Soft opening was just the day before. So I think they're trying to find their stride. Water girl was on it though so kudos to her. Waiter was meh. Had to go in and fetch him a few times as they don't come outside much, especially when you're the only one out there. The bar area is small but the bartenders are nice. They have a sectioned off room in the back which might be good for a larger group. Place is kinda small overall though.

As for the food, they offer cajun-inspired eats and seafood options here, all of which are quite tasty. They have oysters available along with crawfish if you want to go that avenue. My girlfriend and I kept it simple starting with the stuffed mushrooms, comes with 7 mushrooms stuffed with crab in a butter sauce. Pretty tasty although most of the flavor comes from the sauce. As for entrees, she ordered the cajun pasta while I went with the cajun shrimp cobb salad. The pasta is quite large and rich which suited her. I enjoyed the salad which had all the fixings of a cobb salad; I would've preferred the egg be chopped up but I can't complain. We finished our meal with the bread pudding which was delicious and full of cinnamon and caramel. Apparantly it's their best-selling dessert and I can see why. I noticed they also have live music here on certain days and an expansive happy hour. While this spot is far from where we live, we're definitely open to coming back here to taste other items.

We had a group of 10 on a Thursday evening and were the only customers on the patio for most of our visit. I want to make it clear that our waitress was excellent. She was attentive, hardworking, and did her best despite being repeatedly let down by the kitchen and management. Several orders were prepared incorrectly. A steak ordered "as rare as possible" arrived medium-well. It was remade, but still was not cooked as requested. My catfish platter was strangely lukewarm, while another guest described her catfish as rubbery. An order of fish and chips arrived without the chips. A pizza ordered with bacon, pepperoni, and onions came with grilled onions that were not requested, and the bacon smelled and tasted off. Another guest ordered loaded potatoes as her entire meal. Without warning, she was charged $8 for what was described as a double portion, even though she never requested a double order. What arrived appeared to be approximately one cup of roasted potatoes and did not look like a double serving or a complete meal. When we asked to speak with a manager, Andi told us that she had to answer to the kitchen manager and could not address the charge. She then said she was busy and walked away without offering a solution. When I attempted to explain the problems from this visit and the previous week, I was told that the owner, Teek, is usually at the newest location except on Tuesdays, is difficult for the staff to reach, and that I would need to find him myself rather than having management take my contact information and request that he call me. Restaurants make mistakes, but repeated incorrect orders, questionable food quality, missing items, unexplained charges, and dismissive management are not a single mistake. They are a pattern. Our waitress deserved much better support, and our group deserved food prepared as ordered and concerns handled professionally. After two bad experiences in a row, Pacific Yard House has permanently lost our business.
